Cathe! I have GOT to tell you this and everyone else. I have FINALLY realized (after ten years of working out) why I workout. I have FINALLY seen the results of all my hard work (mostly using your tapes). It's to be in great shape and to be healthy.
For the most part I have worked out at home for the last ten years. I've used your tapes since 1996 and have gotten every one of them since then. I do other things, but I do your workouts probably around 80% of the time.
I have been in a hockey camp this past week. It's run by this guy who used to play in the NHL so he's in great shape. There are about twelve people (mostly guys) in this class. Before we go on the ice every night, we have warmups. We do different things like running, squats, pushups and yesterday we even did planks! The one where we are on our elbows just like you do! I was so excited! I was about to blurt out and tell the guy to make us do the ones where we are up and our arms are straight down, but I didn't. I thought I'd take it easy on the class. }> LOL
Well, to make a long story short, I could do all this stuff without alot of effort and I could do it as well as the instructor. Meanwhile, the majority of the rest of the class was huffing and puffing and whining and complaining that is was "hard." Believe me, if they think THAT stuff's hard,just pop in a Cathe. Some of the guys even had to do GIRL PUSHUPS! :-wow And I did GUY pushups. I can't even tell you how that made me feel.
I owe it all to you Cathe! It just is a testament to the fact that your workouts WORK. No doubt about it Cathe. If people do your workouts, they will be in GREAT shape. NO DOUBT. I had proof of that this past week. This sounds like a commercial, but I am being completely sincere and Cathe, you should be proud of yourself in putting these workouts out for all of us who want to be in great shape. I could go on and on and on about it. And you know? I hadn't even worked out in a MONTH because of a rib injury I received playing hockey. And I STILL can kick these people's butts. :-wow
It was completely eye-opening because FINALLY I could see the results of doing your workouts. I mean, yeah, I workout at home and it's HARD but to finally SEE for my OWN EYES what working out with you has done for me, that was just the icing on the cake, so to speak.
And I felt a little bit like maybe people thought I was showing off. But I work HARD and darnit, if I could do those things with ease and the rest of the people were having a hard time, then too bad. Sorry, that sounds a little conceited, but it's really not. I have worked HARD and am PROUD of the fact I can do that stuff.
So Cathe, you should be proud. I feel like crying right now because of how great I feel. I can't convey it over the computer, but I hope you can tell how GREAT I feel from what I've written.
In the future, whenever I feel unmotivated to workout, I'll just think back to that class I was in. That'll do it. I'm so motivated right now I feel like doing IM and MIC back to back. LOL. :-jumpy That's not happening, I still have another day of class, but it's how great I feel.
