High Step training Advanced

Is this workout similar to her new one high step Challenge? I just watched the streamer and it looked like a fun workout. Anyone have it that could tell me anything about it?

Thanks
Rhonda

Yes it is similar. In the HSTA you have dumbbel leg press, triceps push ups, dumbbell tricep overhead extensions with static lunges, arm dios on the high step, one arm side lateral raise, decline push ups, dumbbell rear delt flys, barball curls, hammer curls , barbell back rows etc. I uses my step in the cardios because I don't have the high step . It is great but I expect a better music in the high step challenge. Hope this helps.

It does sound a bit similar. A lot of the exercise movements are in both workouts, however, in HST a band is not incorporated. Also, in HST with each circuit a set on leg presses are done (in one circuit 2 sets are done). In the new Hardcore High Step Challenge, only two sets are listed.

I was thinking about getting it and doing a rotation similar to:

Monday - HSTA
Tuesday - cardio
Wed - Bootcamp
Thursday - cardio
Friday - High Step Challenge
Saturday - cardio

I know I can't do this rotation til Hight Step challenge comes out but am wondering if this will get me some results.

What do others think?

Rhonda

I think it is great. In the cardio day I would do interval training once a week like IMAX 1 or IMAX 2. The results depend of the clean eating too.

I think every rotation should have at least one or two pure strength training days. I know all those circuits have some strength training in them, but to me, they are just not as effective (they are fun though!). What I would probably do is replace Friday's High Step Challenge with a full body strength workout. On your second week, perhaps you could replace one of your other circuits with the High Step Challenge. Plus, you'll be less likely to get bored if you switch things around a bit.

I agree with Shelbygirl that you should have at least one or two pure strength training days and get a break from cardio. It just helps break up the monotony and gives your body a cardio break.

I like doing a strength only day too but mainly because I am more a strength fan than a cardio fan (though Cathe is starting to change my mind! I think her cardios are really fun).
