Hi All,

Quick question. I have the high step topper and 4 risers from my original step. I don't think these are enough risers for the high step workouts etc.
BUT I am having a hard time telling - do those videos use 5 or 6 risers under the topper?

I'd like to know before I place yet another DVD order so I don't have to order the risers 2x.

Thanks!!

:)

Hi Olexa,

I'm pretty sure Cathe uses 5 risers under her topper. I like to use 6, but I'm 5'6. The important thing is to make sure that the high step is not so high that when you step up, your knee is bent at more than a 90 degree angle (this can put too much pressure on the knee).

In Muscle Endurance, they use 6 risers. The rest of Cathe's workouts use 5 for leg presses, which I think is a more reasonable height.

You may want to get that 6th riser anyway. If you have, or are planning to purchase a club step, you'll have 3 for each side when using it as a weight bench.

It doesn't matter what Cathe is using, you should use the height that works with you: your leg should not be bent at more than 90 degrees when you are standing with one foot on the High Step.

With 4 risers, the High Step will be 12" high, which is a fine height to do leg presses with. (each riser is 2", and the topper is 4").
