High Step Challenge - ? on modifications, and another H...

Hi all,

I'm tempted to order High Step Challenge, but I don't have a High Step. I'm in the UK (for at least the next 3-6 months) and I don't want to order a High Step from the States and pay the high import duties and taxes. I plan on ordering a High Step once we move back to the States.

I do have a Reebok step, which I can put at 6, 8 or 10 inches. I usually use 6" or 8" for step aerobics, and 10" for Muscle Max. Do you think that using the Reebok step at 8" or 10" would work OK for the High Step Challenge workout? I am 5'8", but I sometimes have knee problems.

Another question - I currently have the following DVDs:
Low Impact Step + Total Body Sculpting
Low Max
Muscle Max
Imax 3
Kick Max
Core Max
Stretch Max

I am trying out the Hardcore 'Fat Loss' Rotation posted by Cathe. Weeks 3 & 4 call for High Step Challenge. I'm thinking of substituting the 'Cardio & Weights Circuit' premix from LI Step for HSC, and doing Imax 3 in place of HC Extreme (don't have either.) Does this sound OK?

Thanks for any advice in advance - these forums are a wealth of information!

HC Extreme combines Imax3, LowMax and KickMax.
One option would be to alternate segments of IMAX3 with LowMax (i.e. 2 parts of Imax3, part 1 of LowMax, next two parts of Imax3, part 2 of LowMax, last 2 parts of imax3, part 3 of LowMax and then cooldown). If this is to switchy then do 6 parts of Imax3 and then first half of LowMax.
Another HC Extreme option is to do the KickMax bootcamp premix followed by parts 4-6 of Imax3.
Before I had the high step I used my regular step with three sets of risers under each end (I'm also 5'8" tall). This doesn't give the same intensity that the high step gives but it definitely works the legs.
