Hey Cardio Coach Fans!!!

Slightly OT, but I was starting to post about it here anyway. I did CCV6 for the first time today and I'm beat! Into the first challenge I wondered whether I was going to make it through the workout. But I dialed down the hills a little, as well as the sprints, and ended up finishing strong. I like "Coach Sean Land!"

I now just have 7 and 8 to experience and I'll have done them all at least once.

Nancy, ^^^5's for making it through V6!!! That 2nd challenge just about does me in every time. It's really hard!! I'm like you -- I start out strong and usually have to dial it back a bit, but I'm getting better all the time. ;)

I still bow down to you for doing these workouts on the elliptical -- sooo much harder than the treadmill. I may not have said it before, but I've thought it many times -- I'm very glad that CC threads were popping up on this board when I started to get a little more active here. The workouts have been such a great addition to my library. So, thanks for being such an advocate of them!

P.S. I voted.

Oh Nancy, thank you. I really do love the workouts so much that it's hard for me to contain my enthusiasm. I'm happy to know you're benefitting from them, too. ;) :D

After doing the workouts on an elliptical for nearly 3 years, I finally decided it's time to branch out. I just started a walk/run program outside and right now I'm thinking the elliptical is easier. OMG -- walking/running is really hard, especially the fast walking!! So, I guess it's all in what you're used to, and I finally figured out that it's best to do a variety of cardio activities... but I still don't see myself excelling at step aerobics. I'm such a clod! :p

I don't know about V7  It almost killed me the other day
Yeah, but you'd die with a smile on your face! :p :D

Did you do it on a bike? That would be puke worthy. I usually do it on an elliptical but one of these days I'm gonna take it outside and run Run RUN!!! :D

ooooh, Michele, V7 is a beastie to run. The 10 intervals in the middle - OMG!!! It took me sometime to be able to run those. I was so happy and then I thought I was gonna hurl.:D

Getting back to topic, I did vote for the picture this morning. When I 1st saw this thread, I was hoping it was an announcement for V9. A girl can have hopes and dreams, right?

I voted!

On the side note - anyone who doesn't have Volume 7 MUST get it! Along with Volume 4, it is my most used and favorite Cardio Coach.

I was supposed to do 4 miles outside on Saturday but it was raining, so I did volume 7 on the treadmill instead. I agree - everyone should get it! My run was supposed to be 'easy' so I kept the hills and sprints more moderate and it was still a fantastic workout.

Yep, did it on a stationary bike. My legs were fried.

The beauty of Volume 7 is that the challenges are long enough that you can do the warm-up and one challenge (the 1st challenge is my personal favorite) and still get a GREAT workout! It's tough and you need not feel ashamed if you can't get through the whole thing on your first attempt. I couldn't, that is for sure!

Nan, it will be a loooooooong time before I can run to Volume 7. I JUST started a Couch to 5K training program. Right now I'm walking 5 minutes and running 1 minute. :D

Catherine, I bow to anyone who can do CC on a bike. I guess to some degree it's a matter of what you're used to. I've always done them on an elliptical, and the closest I ever came to puking in a workout was after I tried Volume 1 on the bike.

ETA - Cindi, you make a great point! CC is so user friendly and easy to modify and/or customize!

Love the Cardio Coach Threads! :p

I will go vote as soon as I'm done posting here.

Just to get in on the CC discussion -- I did V8 this morning and loved it (well, there were moments I didn't love it, like 4 minutes into C2 and Coach Sean says "only 4 more minutes!":eek:)

If anyone doesn't have ALL the volumes -- Get them all!!!!!!:D You will never regret it.

Mary and Jo, I was planning to do Volume 8 today, too, but I'm gonna have to scrap it for an easier, shorter volume. My legs are a tad sore after my 1st Couch to 5K training run.

Mary, I know the exact moment in the workout you're talking about. I don't know if I should feel relieved or worried at that point. LOL!!!
