i just started working out about 3 months ago im 5' tall and i weigh 186 ( down from 210!!!!) i just bought a step and it came with cathe's all step video, i can manage to do about 10 minutes of it but thats it, its just way too advanced, does cathe have any stepping videos that are for beginners? ive been doing denise austin but now i think its getting a little too easy, and i really prefer cathe's style. so if anyone knows if she has a tape for beginner steppers id appreciate it. thanks!

Hi,congrats on your weight loss, that's awesome! I've been doing Cathe's step tapes for almost 3 years now and I still have some difficulty with the choreography in her All Step video. I'd try her Get in Shape for Your Wedding video. The name is kinda hokey, but it's her least intense and simplest choreography. You can always modify and just do the step portion on the floor with no step and then work your weigh up. It has 3 step sections, but you could always do just one or two. The step portion is about 45 minutes. The tape then has 45 minutes of total body weight work including abs that just use dumbells. If you're new to strength training you could try it with no weights or use soup cans even! This is a great tape to growth with and who better to learn strength training form from than Cathe?! Her next simplest set of tapes in terms of choreography and intensity are her earlier ones, namely Step Heat, Mega Step Blast and Step Max. Have fun!!

Hi Jipsy!

In total agreeance with Stacy. My two first tapes I would suggest would be the "Wedding" tape and also "MegaStepBlast." They were two of the first ones I started with and I am not very good when it comes to learning choreo. They are also a bit lower intensity-wise, a very good place to start. Welcome to Cathe-Land! Congratulations on your weight loss success. Look forward to "seeing" you around.
