Hello, all...I am turning to all Cathe-ites, not just Cathe, as I know how busy she is, but can someone help shake my workouts up? I was TRYING to lose the last 10 # from being pregnant, but I am going through a mental roadblock...I just can't seem to find a routine that I like that will help me to stick with my workouts, and over the past 2-3 weeks, have watched the scale creep up another 4 #'s.:( I'll go all out for a week, then the next week, be absolutley un-inspired...I need to get DEFINITION in my legs, as well as lose the layer of fat on my thighs & hips...I have access to all the Intensity, Body Blast, CTX Series, the 3 new high step, and a few older misc. Cathe tapes..I can get to a spin class once per week-twice MAYBE, and I have access to a treadmill...I have printed so many routines, that I think I have confused myself...does anyone have any success stories to share, and what routine did you have the success with, duration, etc...I know it won't happen overnight, but I know you all will answer my call for help! Thanks in advance.

Since last May, I've gone from around 185lbs to 129lbs. I'm at the last 5lbs stage. Three weeks ago I finally broke through a plateau that started in the middle of April. Since the plateau began in April I've lost......drum roll....a whole pound!

I can't tell you how much that pound has meant to me. I thought I'd never see less than 130lbs. Although disappointment was weekly, I took other measurements besides the scale to keep me motivated, e.g., waist, thigh, and calf. And I focused on making sure I enjoyed every workout I did.

My rotation was enjoyable because my workouts were enjoyable and during the plateau, I focused on the joy and not on the disappointment and frustration: When I hopped on the scale: I was disappointed. But when I reached for a workout: I had a blast!

I ended up breaking through unintentionally: I hurt my knee by overdoing it and was forced to drastically change my rotation from working out 6 days in a row to working out 2 days in a row and taking a rest day on the third day.

Then it hit me: I had broken through my other two plateaus by drastically changing my rotation. For the second plateau, I also switched from a grueling to an easier rotation.

What I've learned is that when I'm working out too hard, my body resists. When I give it a break, then I see the changes I'm looking for, possibly because my body had adapted to a certain level and needs to be "shocked" out of it.

Please enjoy your workouts and don't forget to take pride in your tremendous achievement: you're down to the last 10: Yahoo!!!!
