Help me get my biceps to grow!

Wow, I love Cathe and she is helping me get to where I want to be.

My upper body size is now "good" and I really just want to focus on getting my biceps larger. I guess this is the vanity in me....

So, I was thinking I could just keep my regular routine and add an extra bicep routine (probably from the Gym Styles series) each week totalling two bicep routines a week. This should help, right? Or should I do three bicep routines a week - instead of the two? Or is that over kill?

Maybe someone out there has better advice than mine but here it goes:

I noticed size increase in my bi's when #1 I used heavier weights!! & #2 when I started the push up challenge I noticed more definition overall.

Got to tell you this story. At lunch yesterday my 3 - 4 yr old daycare boys started talking about muscles. They wanted to see mine so of course I gave them the pose. One boy says "WOW!! Your muscles are bigger than my Dad's!!" YEP!! My ego got way bigger!! :D :D :D

I would recommend using heavier weights. I think GS has the best bicep routine, so do that with the heaviest weight you can and increase the poundage as much as you can as your strength increases. As for how many times a week you work your biceps, I would think twice would be enough. Muscle grows when (1) you challenge it to do more than it's currently capable of doing and (2) you give it the rest it needs to build new muscle fiber. Give it a month or so and see if you're getting the development you want and change it up as needed.

I, too, would recommend using heavier weights. Every body is different, but I think 2x's a week would be plenty. For me, I find that it doesn't matter so much what UB workout I do (whether it be Gym Styles or the upper body section from Body Max 2 or Cardio & Weights); as long as I lift as heavy or almost as heavy as possible - I see results.
