I recently purchased a heart rate monitor at my husband's suggestion - he is a physician and very interested in my 'staying in the zone'. Here's my question - it seems hard to stay in the zone on some of your workouts. Is this a measure of overall fitness or age or both or something else? Also, how should I calculate my recovery heartrate? Mine drops rapidly which I had heard is a good thing.
