I had steel cut oats for the first time this morning - yummy! I added a bunch of chopped up raw almonds, which added some nice texture. I also added a small dab of butter (I know, not the best, but I was experimenting, and it wasn't that much), and some natural maple syrup. I almost tried the cinnamon, but opted out.
I'm not a fan of fruit in my cereal, either, but I could see me putting in some blueberries on occasion. For an all-natural sweetener without the sugar, try some stevia. Don't use too much, though! Stevia is VERY sweet and if you use too much, it becomes very bitter. Just a small BB sized scoop is usually enough for anything you're adding it to (sometimes it's too much).
