Healthy Eating (BFL) Checkin 2/22/05

Looks like we are dwindling again but hopefully people will get back with us.

HIIT on the treadmill

B - hb egg; cottage cheese w/yogurt
S - Balance Go Mix
L - leftover porkchop, potatoes, green beans
S - BFL bar
D - taco salad

Good morning,

5:45 am - Power Circuit

B - carnation instant breakfast w/1 % milk, slice of pumpkin bread
S - protein shake
L - ?
S - protein bar, yogurt
D - turkey sandwich, soup

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a way to break my plateau, so today I am starting something different. I'm adding more calcium to my diet in lieu of other forms of protein. (My officemate drinks over 32 oz of milk a day and she is rain-thin.) I am also cutting my coffee down to 1 cup a day. I find that when I drink coffee I almost always have a baked good (cookie/muffin/scone) with it. If this change helps me lose even just 2 pounds I will be happy.

Well, I'm gonna continue tracking my meals (and perpetuating my food obsession). Since I skipped my workout yesterday, I will do what I had planned to do yesterday. MIS lower body, S&H biceps, and 15 min HIIT run.

1 - granola, low fat milk
2 - chicken breast, half a sweet potato
3 - chicken breast, broccoli
4 - protein shake with frozen strawberries
5 - probably leftover salmon, broccoli

i'm still trying to get myself ack on track. Today isn't quite as good as i planned, but i'll go to the grocery store tonight and do better tomorrow!

b - 1/2 bagel, cottage cheese, V8
l - red beans, brown rice, veggie enchilada
s - carrots
d - mango protein shake w/ flax
s - almonds
 
Good morning. I have been on track a few weeks now and pants that didn't fit are fitting again! Whew....

My husband and I just started BFL Monday. I hope you don't mind if I join in. My husband wants to lose some pounds and I need to lose some body fat and I also need to eat better. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. Here was my day:

8:30 Blueberry morning cereal w/ skim milk (I don't like Oatmeal)
10:30 yogurt(fruit flavored)
12:45 Leftover Rot. chicken & sm. salad (romaine, tomato, cucumber)
2:45 balance bar
6:30 BFL pasta taco salad
 
HI guys! I have to brag for a minute... I have had an absolutely perfect week since Sunday! I have not cheated even once! Yeah!!! :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ I just started BFL over on Sunday and I am GOING to finish this time!!! I have made a promise to myself that I can do it! I have erased, glued, cut and pasted too many times into my success journal. This time it is for real!!!

Here is my day:

5:15 am-Lowmax :)

m1 - EAS ML Strawberry shake
m2 - oatmeal, cottage cheese
m3 - salad, 1/2 half turke sand
m4 - myoplex lite bar
m5 - 1 c pasta, brocolli, tofu
M6 - proma chocolate brownie bar
* I don't usually eat this many bars in one day (usually only 1) but I just got these tonight from netrition.com and they are sooooo yummy! Plus I could feel my metabolism going nuts the past few days. I bought these bars as they help me get up to the proper calories.

Tomorrow is UB and I will be doing PUB I think. I did gym style the last 2 workouts and I have little time in the morning :(

You all go Women. Congratulations and keep pushing and pulling. Ane most of all... all the good eating. Just interested. if you are doing a challenge you are also doing Cathe? I was just thinking of eating this morning. Sure wish I did not have to cook. Better find my on-line store soon so I can get my shakes back on the counter. (kitchen counter)

D - steak, vegies (was supposed to have last night)

7 am Step Blast-did biceps and triceps yesterday and I think they are still shakin :p

B-WW cereal w/ 1% and sliced banana
S-Orange and a handful of soy nuts
L-WW veggie wrap with string cheese
S-Baby carrots and or an apple
D-salmon-brown rice and salad

Hello Ladies.

I have been "lurking" on this thread for about a week now...

I purchased the Eating for Life cook book and I really like this guy's philosophy so I decided to give it a shot. I am following it from breakfast through the afternoon snack pretty well but dinner is very "loose" still as I haven't really gone through and picked out recipes to try yet. I will do that soon. I am also inclined to add in a couple extra snacks b/c I am hungrier than usual ;)...after I have the baby I will try to adhere to the schedule more strictly. So...after all of that babbling..lol..I'd like to join the check-in with you lovely ladies!:) So here it goes:

B: Kashi cereal/skim milk, water/coffee
S: Nutrigrain bar (I know they probably aren't the best but I have them in the house and really like them!)
S: 1/2 raw green pepper, 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 c l/f cottage cheese

That is what I have eaten so far today....the plan for the rest of the day is....

L: Peanut butter sandwich-natural l/f p/b on ww bread, salad with l/f dressing, water
S: Banana or apple with 1/2 of an advantedge bar
S: Banana or apple (which ever I didn't eat prior and only if I am hungry for it)
D: ?
S: (after exercising) usually a piece of fruit and maybe some cottage cheese

Suggestions on how to improve are welcome!:)

I normally work out in the evenings...tonight I am doing 30-45 minutes of a Cathe cardio dvd (to be determined!) and the upper body work from all step as well as biceps coz I was supposed to do them last night and didn't have time...
