Hi Everyone,

I have Basic Step/Body Fusion and really like it. This was my first Cathe purchase and I really like her and her workouts.

Imax 2 was suggested to me as my next purchase. I think this is a good choice from the previews and I like that it is paired with C&W. I was looking for suggestions for one, maybe two more for a more complete rotation in addition to Imax 2 and BS/BF. I do step mainly for cardio - but prefer athletic to dance if that helps.

I was looking at Timesaver as a possibility... please feel free to suggest. I hope to make a decision and order this weekend.

Thanks in advance!

Valerie

IMAX 2 IS A VERY ADVANCED STEP INTERVAL WORKOUT.IT IS AN TOUGHT WORKOUT.IF YOU ARE NOT AN ADVANCED EXERCISER I RECOMEND TO YOU THE DVD WITH STEP BLAST AND SJP. YOU HAVE THE CTX TOO WITH SIX SHORT WORKOUTS BUT I LOVE THE STEP OF SB,SJP AND CARDIO AND WEIGHTS.HAVE YOU DONE KICKKBOX?I LOVE KPC AND I AM SURE YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO.

I think the Timesaver would be a good next purchase for you, since it has footage from all of the cardio segments of the Body Blast series AND it has targeted strength work for all of the muscle groups; since it is all on one DVD, you can do your own mixing and matching of cardio and resistance cycle segments to make each workout what you want. I think, from what you've listed you already have and are planning to buy I-Max 2 + CW, you could benefit from some more targeted strength work.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

Body Fusion was my first interval workout and I really enjoyed it. What workout would be between Body Fusion and Imax 2, as far as interval workouts? I do kickboxing a few times per week, but I am still mastering the lower level workouts now (KS Kickboxing). I figured that KPC may be out of my league right now as far as intensity.

I agree that I could use so more targeted strength workouts. Would the Pyramids or Muscle Endurance be a good choice? I am looking for more hi rep/low weight workout since I don't have room for more equipment right now (ie. barbell). I have various dumbbells.

I think Timesaver is a good choice since I work full time and I am also a full time graduate student! Time is not on my side most days!

Again, thanks for the help!

Do you have the CTX series?

Quite honestly, it is the answer to you prayers.

It features 5 cardio workouts around 28 mins long: it may not sound like much, but believe me they are intense and quite enough! For greater intenssity, many of us just stick 2 of them back to back for a complete heart thumping session.

It also features a complete and truly challenging endurance (low to moderate weight, high rep) upper body weight training program which you can do either as:

1) one body part each day,

2) two body parts poer day or more

3) whole upper body in one day

For the lower body, one whole workout is devoted to truly challenging your muscle endurance, which is what you said you wanted. Leaner Legs is often called meaner legs, and will not disappoint. It is quick and dirty and will get you ready for the explosive plyos in Imax 2 better than anything.

There is so much to explore in this series, it will throw your fitnesss level up several notches, and each workout comes in at under an hour, which is perfect for us busy grad students!

Timesaver was not designed and filmed as a series in its own right: it was cribbed from all the existing Body Blast footage. The CTX series was designed as a complete training program for those with a time crunch. I think, therefore, that it is a more accomplished, more complete and aa better realized series.

I would attempt this series before doing Imax 2. It will prepare you for it marvellously!

The CTX series is great.

The Timesaver is great too. It's a little less intense than the CTX series, but has more of a fun factor to it. :)

Kick Punch and Crunch is a BLAST and I just love Legs & Glutes too! :)
