HATE IT - Mar 19

August

Cathlete
Morning!

I posted and I hadn't even written this top part, so I'm editing and coming back to add something here. That's how tired I am! Duh!

Ummmm.

Okay. So there's my intro.

JEN - Hooray for naps, eh? Man, I've been napping so much this last week that yesterday going napless had me loopy all day...Why is it that whenever one makes the decision to go see a doctor, one immediately feels better? Nevertheless, make the appointment!

KARA - Hey, what's wrong with being an outcast? Isn't that just another way to say "individual"? I'll have you know that most outcasts are imaginative and creative! It's GOOD to be an outcast. Is Michele going to be smacking me for writing that? LOL. And LOL about your pretzel comment. Now I totally want to see Seinfeld.

DEB - If you have to ask a bzillion questions to a teacher, it would seem to me that that teacher isn't explaining the subject well enough in class. LOL.

I have to take a moment out to just say, I can't believe that Wheat Thins were that popular! What is the deal with that? I don't remember anyone ever having a Wheat Thin problem when I was growing up. Where were the Ding Dongs? Where were the Funyuns?

Okay then.

MICHELE - Not doing squat is just about the only squat I can do with pleasure. I'm so excited about your trip to Italy, and even more excited about your excitement for your sister. She must be just so excited! (That sounded like a bad Three's Company skit, but I was serious!)

>I'm so glad SOMEBODY is still eating chicken

LMAO.

>So, who's the father -- LMAO!!!!!!! Really, was it someone you recognized?

ROTFLMAO! You and Dana! Actually, yes, the father of my dream pregnancy was someone I recognized.

Well, the other night when I was working, I started thinking about how I haven't had much chance to work at my outside workplace...and at my outside workplace, when my work partner and I get stuck or need some fresh anythingelseness, we'll pop in a DVD. We've recently been watching Prison Break. So last night I was thinking about how we haven't had any time to watch Prison Break recently, and lo and behold, the father of my child was one of the actors from the show LOL!!

>She may have to settle for a sweet potato on your birthday

Please, please no. Old-fashioned glazed. Please. Please.

TERRI - How cute about your DD loving her April 1st bday....Ooh, I hate always feeling hungry. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your scale tells you nice things to reward your pain and suffering....Your soy chips and thinking about your cyber friends was totally cute. When you saw the soy chips and thought of Shelley, how did you think of her? Did an image come to your head, or did the screen of your computer?

MSY - I totally loved your post with the numbers! I'd quote the lines I liked best, but I'd be copy pasting practically the entire post! LOL!

BRIEE - Hi! Hi! Hi! It's been ages! How you doing?......wait a minute. Wait just a darn minute here. No donuts pour moi?! No donuts?! But you have no idea how sick of sweet potatoes I've become. LOL. April 1st, eh? Same as Michele's Mom! I've jotted it down into my anal file. (Or perhaps I should write that : My file that is anal.)

>I like to throw around Michele's name when I post...always makes everyone like me just through association

Oh, I totally agree with you on that. Being able to say that you're associated with Michele gives you extra bonus point status.

>Had it not accepted Briee my next attempt would have been JUSTLETMEPOST#$%$$$##$%@@.

LMAO LMAO!

MARIAH -

>Ha Ha I beat you all

Haha, you sure did! I was working yesterday (Sunday) out of my apartment and didn't have a chance to come on board while you all were sleeping......Wow, it sounds like you had a great time at the street fair. Bummer about the cold evening weather, but I guess that made it a bit romantic!

DANA - Oh yes, I know some of the comedic Pilates moves that would work well in our stand-up act. Yeah, like the one where you make like an upside down triangle with your butt as the point. NOT. I have a bunch of Winsor Pilates, and the only one I ever really use is the Buns & Thighs one. But I really do like that one and I honestly do feel a change (when I do them consistently, that is, heh).

>I saw someone in shorts, tank top and flipflops. Then Saturday we got 12+ inches of snow.

LMAO!

>Basically it seems like I clean all the time b/c I live with 3 pigs.

LMAO!!

>I washed DH's wallet.

LMAO!!!

Well, now it's not like that's YOUR fault. Hello, if you're going to lucky enough to have someone do your laundry, empty the pockets!

LOL about the delivery woman being able to carry the package in one hand. I once had a package delivered to me and when I opened the door and reached to the delivery guy to take the package, he yelled, "Look out! This is very heavy! I'll put it here on the floor. Be careful. Stand back." I wanted to answer, "It's heavy because it's my barbell set." But I just let him have his proud caveman moment.

ARISTA - What?! Michele sent you ants?!...That's great to hear that your eating is going so well. When is your first check-in with them? Hey, have you told everyone about your engagement?

CORRIE -

>I can't believe I am going to be the 4th post - too bad I don't have anything interesting to say!!!!!

LMAO! What are you talking about?! I love your posts....hey, so now with DH again away for work, does that mean we'll be getting more of your posts?

>edit - I see that Dana and Arista snuck in posts before me and I am now number 6.

LMAO!

DEB -

>Kate, Kate...hello? didn't someone by that name use to post here or am I losing it again??-LOL

LOL! You're not losing it. Kate hasn't been here for a long while. She's a total crazy nut. She'd started having computer problems, but then had gotten it fixed...KATE?! Where are you?! You, too, Jana!

>I hope you got your song written-it's not about a group of women with issues that post on a fitness board......?

Bahaha!..........hey, how did you know?.......Yes, thanks, I did get the song finished. Thanks everyone for keeping me company while I was slaving away!

Our previous workouts sure did us in somewhat, eh? I'm glad we both decided to take a little break, though. Are you starting to feel revved up again yet?

SHELLEY - Congrats to Sophie and her new glasses WOO HOO! Bye bye $300 WOO hoOoo.

ROBIN -

>I spent the afternoon painting and still have 1 1/2 windows to do. I hate windows. (See, hate)

LMAO. I hope the evening is treating you well and is full of love!

All right, I'm out today again. I think I already need a nap. :)

Rising Above PMS!!!

August, did you not get the memo? Briee told us that we need a new name. I agree! I think this should be the Chatty Comedians Check-in! :7

Yesterday was a great day. :) My cycle did not start, but I was in a delightful state of mind all day. :7 I found a new pair of shoes that are cute and comfortable. They were on sale too, and I got the last pair in my size. After searching through every shoe display in the place, I was praying that God would provide for me. He did! I am so excited about my shoe find because cute, comfortable, and cheap is a hard combination to find. Now if my cycle would start. ;-)

I have been eating intuitively all weekend and delighting in the freedom. I enjoyed whole wheat angel hair pasta for breakfast yesterday morning and treated myself to a kiddie cup of golden vanilla frozen yogurt with caramel and almonds last night. :9 Yummy! It was a tiny portion, but it satisfied my PMS cravings. I ate a small cup of Kozy Shack butterscotch pudding later last night. :9 I have been craving sweet dairy products this weekend.

I had another delightful day. :) My cycle still has not started, but I decided to rise above my PMS and have a great day anyway. It is amazing how powerfully a positive attitude can change how I feel. :)

I did Step Fit early this morning and paused to change shoes and socks several times. At one point, I had a different kind of socks on each foot and a different kind of shoes on each foot. I think I found a winner! :7

I had to take my car to the shop to get a flat tire repaired and decided to do some spontaneous shopping while I was out. I desperately needed a new swimsuit because my old one is hopelessly stretched out of shape. The top does not have enough support anymore. I am not a big fan of brown, but I was drawn to a 2-piece set with brown shorts and a tank top with pink, lime green, brown, and white stripes. It reminded me of Cathe’s Stretch Max outfit. Brown is not one of my best colors, but I decided to try it on since the pink and lime green stripes would be close to my face. Wow! I stood there in total awe because this swimsuit made me look great. :7 The tank top has a V-neck that reveals a modest amount of cleavage, which is more than I usually show. Of course, that just draws attention away from my big butt! ;-) The swim shorts have a snap and zipper and are very stylish. They fit better than my other swim shorts. I tried on several in the same size because the pattern was a little different on each one. The first one I tried was the winner. The dominant stripe pattern falls right across the center of my chest. It makes my chest look larger and gives the illusion of an hourglass figure. The tops with that same stripe pattern across my hips made me look larger. Needless to say, I bought it on sale! A swimsuit that makes me feel beautiful when I am premenstrual and bloated is quite a find! :7

I needed new Ryka aqua shoes for my water jogging workouts, so I went to Academy and was delighted to find them on sale too. I could not resist trying on the newest Nike dance cardio shoes. I did not buy them. ;-) I just wanted to feel them on my feet. :7 I also found coral and periwinkle workout tops on sale at Sports Authority. Coral and periwinkle are great colors on me. This was a very successful shopping weekend. :) I found everything I wanted, and the first thing I reached for was perfect every time. Everything I bought was on sale too. :)

I have one more week of fasting chocolate and cheese. I bought an organic dark chocolate bar today in anticipation! :9

I stopped by the grocery store tonight and picked up a few things. I am so happy tonight! :7 I have so much energy and need to bounce on my rebounder to unwind before bedtime. Have a blessed week!

Mariah, I feel like Lucy in the chocolate factory when I am changing shoes (and socks) so many times during a workout. :7

Shelley, I am so glad I can add some joy and laughter to your day! :7 I have not forgotten about the futon story by the way. I am just trying to figure out how to word it so I do not sound like a total nut! :7

Michele, you actually have to share the credit for me being here with Mr. Cockroach and PMS. :p I am a lover by nature. There is not much I hate. I actually had enough “hates” last week to keep me checking in here.

August, I was so upset when I read your message yesterday afternoon. You have a visitor. You just go and leave me behind to suffer with PMS alone. :-( That’s okay. Shelley will suffer with me. I thought about hating you but decided that it would not be cool or politically correct (not than I am) to hate a resident of Hatesville. That did not stop me from entertaining thought of locking you in a cage with Gym Style Cathe! ;-) I want a visitor too! To add insult to injury, I read in the <-- thread that Michele is spotting.

Terri, that is cute that you thought of me and my food allergies when you passed the soy chips. By the way, August, an elimination diet is the most effective way to discover food allergies. Remind me to tell you about this later.

Dana, I am fresh out of funny stories. I promised God that I would not make anyone snort coffee on Sundays. :7 I am sure there is a blue law against it somewhere. :7

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

RE: Rising Above PMS!!!

Goodmorning August, Heather and all haters to follow.

August, I'm happy to hear you finished your song. I'm also glad to hear you are post-PMS. LOL about your motherhood dream. I'm so glad you post such good wrap-ups. I always seem to miss half of what others have posted until I read your reply to them.

Heather, so let me see, that makes 23 pairs of fitness shoes? Or is it up to 24? I'll keep your cycle on my prayer requests.

Gotta run and get to work. This afternoon calls for Drill Max and more painting. We'll see if I'm up to either.

Later haters.

RE: Rising Above PMS!!!

August : I'm home, honey!

DP : ............

August : I'm beat, but wow, it's so nice to be home at a decent hour with no home work to do. Yay! Now I can just sit in my pajamas this evening and play with my DS Lite and check the Hate thread until I get sleepy.

DP : .............

August : I took three naps today. Yeah. Three. Two of them were at work. You know that great sofa at where I work? That's where I napped twice. It felt so great.

Choco : .....I'm under your washing machine.

August : DP, did you say something?

DP : ............

HEATHER - You know, sometimes when I get PMS, I'll start to feel it a week before, and little by little I'll become more vile, until one day I'm strangely bliss, and then BAM! Aunt Flo makes her big visit. For sure you're going to get your visit tomorrow. For SURE!

I'm sending you flo vibes.

And what a great day you had! New shoes! What joy! Just what you've always wanted and needed! And with the CCC (cute, comfortable, cheap) seal behind it, bring it on!

I also noticed that your choice for new name for our HATE check-in was Chatty Comedians Check-in, or CCC. I wonder if there is a subliminal message in there LOL.

>A swimsuit that makes me feel beautiful when I am premenstrual and bloated is quite a find!

LMAO!! Holy mo! What miraculous finds! I can't begin to imagine how it will make you feel when you're not on the verge of ripeness! Congrats for such a find!

>I could not resist trying on the newest Nike dance cardio shoes. I did not buy them. I just wanted to feel them on my feet.

LMAO!! Did you change your socks during this trial?

>I found everything I wanted, and the first thing I reached for was perfect every time. Everything I bought was on sale too.

Goodness, let's hope that PMS isn't clouding your judgment LOL! But really, it sounds like a fantastic day! I hate shopping, so what you wrote sounds like a total dream to me. I would love to have that happen to me.

>I want a visitor too! To add insult to injury, I read in the <-- thread that Michele is spotting.

LMAO LMAO!!

Oh, and I'm glad you don't hate me. :)

>an elimination diet is the most effective way to discover food allergies. Remind me to tell you about this later.

Tell me now, tell me now!

Actually, I've done some tinkering with eliminating this and that from my diet to see if I feel any changes in the past. One of them was giving up cow milk. I stopped drinking it for about ten days, I think, and then I drank a whole bunch of it on one day to see what would happen. Wow, I thought I might be able to float into the sky, if only I didn't have a rock in my belly! Now I drink soy.

Tell me the elimination story. I want to hear it. (Heheh, sounds so crude.)

ROBIN - Hi, there! I'm glad that my posts are helpful in keeping you up to date....So are you painting or drilling (max)?

BECKY - Hi! I hope you're LOVING your Monday!

Where you other girls? I'm going to visit Oogi for a while, but I'll be back!

RE: Rising Above PMS!!!

Hey girlies!

Oh, it's Monday. Oooooooooooh, I'm so tired..... ugh. Please can it be Friday? I'm really excited about next weekend because my SO actually took TWO WHOLE DAYS OFF IN A ROW BOTH ON THE WEEKEND. You have no idea how momentous this is.

August - did you get your songs finished? Didn't you have a deadline of today?

Heather aka Miss Scrubbing Shadows for an hour and eating pasta in her underwear - I really don't think that the futon story could make us think you're MORE nutty;) Your shopping spree sounds awesome! I'm the world's worst shopper and can never find anything. And yes, I'm here suffering through PMS with you. I was evil yesterday, for the most part.

Robin - *waves wildly* HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!! I hope you get that painting done soon.

Becky - come baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

I'm sure someone has written something while I've been typing this. I'm hungry already. I think I have a tapeworm.

I'll be here shortly...I'm on the PHONE!!!

August, tell Aunt Flo I'd appreciate it if she'd come back and pick up her kid. I've about had it with that little drip!

RE: Rising Above PMS!!!

Okay, I never left. :) After I posted, I was bombarded with work emails. But Pedro (PC) is keeping me warm, so who am I to complain?

Hi, Shelley! That's so great that your SO took two days off in a row! What are you going to do?!

Yes, thanks, I did have my deadline today, and I finished all that I could and submitted the songs. I'm so glad that's finished! Now I can concentrate on my village. :7

>I'm hungry already. I think I have a tapeworm.

LMAO. Don't we all wish we had one.

OMG that made me laugh SO FREAKIN LOUD!!!!!!!!

August - well, Saturday we're heading out to the antique district and then having lunch at our fave restaurant (ilfiasco.ca), then in the evening we're going to see "300". That's kind of more his choice than mine, but I don't care. Just to have him home and to actually be DOING something other than working out or cleaning is heavenly.

Glad you got your songs done.

Michele - you crack me up!

Just so y'all know, I'll be miserable this week. This will be me:

:) x( :-( ;( }( ;-) :) :-( x( :D ;( ;( :+ :7 x( :-( ;(

Your weekend plans sound gorgeous, Shelley! And you've got all week to enjoy the excitement build!
4.gif

Shelley - Do you have a favorite menu choice from your favorite restaurant?

What kind of movie is 300?

They make insanely good crab cakes. I also love the Mediterranean pie (layers of phyllo pastry, roasted red peppers, feta cheese, zucchini - YUM!).

300 is very hard to describe. It's about the war between the Spartans and the Persians - there were only 300 Spartans and the Persian Army was enormous. It's probably easiest if you go here and check it out:

http://300themovie.warnerbros.com/

If you can watch the trailer, you'll get a good idea.

I am completely inarticulate today.

Hey haters, happy Monday! I can actually say that b/c I took today off for a mental health day!! I am at Landmark Jeep right now on their PC while they are changing my oil. I called first & they said they weren't busy so I hope to not be here very long. I'll do personals later today once my workout is done.

Powerstrike 1 is on the books for today. I may also do Tamilee Webb's 30 minute weight loss w/o instead of Bun Shaper, we'll see what I'm in the mood for when I go to do it.

Depending on what time it is when I leave here I may run to Target to pick up prescriptions and then PetsMart for more toys for Sport...they don't open until 9 though so we'll see. I'm sure I'll be here another 20 min so then they'd be open when I leave.

August- Thanks for letting me know how Mr. Choco is.

Heather- You & your shoes... LMAO.

Becky- I normally HATE Mondays also so I know how you feel.

Shelley- Why is this week going to be bad? Your weekend sounds awesome & very happy that you'll get to spend it with your SO.

Robin- I love Drill Max, did that yesterday! Are you doing a premix or the original version?

okay, I'll be around lurking until my Jeep is ready. I'll post more later today once workout is done! I'm hungry.

LMAO. Okay, I see how this would be more your SO's choice. But at least it will make for some inspiration for weight lifting.

Ooooh, I love Mediterranean food. Feta.....LOVE.

Anyway, it sounds like a really fun weekend.

Hi, Jen, wait, how can you be on someone else's PC and be able to write a post here? I thought you could only post from the computer on which you are a member of Cathe.

What is Tamilee's 30 min weight loss workout?
