Morning!
I feel so proud to be part of a 5-Star Hate Thread. LOL! If you Haters are the ones voting....don't tell me. Let me linger in the moment a bit longer.
Speaking of lingering in the moment, I decided it was time to weigh myself this morning, and see what my Fatometer had to say.
I checked my memos and found that it's been since last October that I weighed myself. (LMAO, I mistyped "it's been since last October that I weighted myself" which is actually also sort of true.)
I don't know if you guys remember my whining about this, (and I realize this is nothing to be complaining about) but no matter what I do, I seem to always hover around a certain weight give or take three or so pounds, whether I eat really clean or cruddy, or whether I exercise or not. It's been like this since high school. It's great...and yet it's also really uninspiring.
However, now that I have a scale that shows me, supposedly, my fat %, I can see that I have masterfully maintained my general weight by replacing all the muscle I lost with....other stuff. And I'm here to attest that stuff takes up way more space.
And I've lost quite a bit of muscle since the days I was lifting heavy, regularly.
By golly, I'm going to change it back!!
SOooooOOooo, I spent a number of hours online looking up various kettlebell stuff.
I found a place that sells those DVDs that Michele most recently got, and also another DVD that I've been ogling. I'm also interested to get one that has different body parts so you can do a short one every day.
Let me stop for a moment to tell you all that I don't appreciate that nobody is helping to STOP me from investing in a bunch of new DVDs. There is still time. HELP. (And you be quiet, Dana.)
So I've just finished my Kettlebell Way and the wave of puke has subsided, so it's now time for a shower and then my shake.
Waves of puke during exercise are supposed to be good, right? I think that's what I read when reading about HIIT -- that you're supposed to be feeling like you're on the verge of a hurl.
It's great to associate that with working out, I'm sure.
ROBIN - LOL! I just now noticed what is in the background of your cute avatar!
JENNIFER - All the planting done?
Squirrel stories? Why, I'm never short on squirrel stories! Let's see.
Chami figured out a great way to not have to do a slippery jig when doing #2 perched on the litter box -- that is to stand on my telephone! LOL. I have a wireless phone, and the main phone part that has the fax is down on the floor right next to the litter box.
Hmm. Now that I write that, I'm thinking that would suck if a fax came when she was in the litter box......thankfully I NEVER get faxes.
Knock on wood for me, please.
So what's this about Scott being MIA? You mean you had made a date and he went MIA, or you hadn't yet made a date yet? Do I need to feel angry at Scott yet?
SHANNON - Look at your cute new avatar! I've always imagined that Michele's hair is like yours -- no wonder you guys are cuzins!
Thanks for the good vibes on my new rotation. And yes, THIS cardio seems to be pretty good! I don't even notice it's a cardio and I am completely winded during most exercises! And I'm barefoot!
Good wishes back to you on work. How's the elbow?
MICHELE - Yay on your KB Way! I know what you mean by improving. I think I sort of gained some confidence and was able to use the KB for the windmills which I didn't last time. I go slow, too, on some of them, and I have to take breaks sometimes because I'm so winded. I LOVE the minute breaks. THIS is what really makes this workout perfect LOL.
>What is happening to us!!?
I don't know. I'm a little frightened, though.
Here is the rotation I plan to do:
MON Step
TUE REST
WED Kettlebell Way
THU Pilates
FRI Interval cardio
SAT Kettlebell Way
SUN Yoga
Please tell me if you think something else would be better!!
By the way, if your DH is going to be joining in on the fun, you might check with his doctors to see what is the best exercises for him to start with. That's fantastic about the Precision Nutrition! Tell us how it goes, please and give us some good inspiration!
DANA - Did you have fun with the boys at the amusement park for your birthday? You better have had cake somewhere. It certainly doesn't need to be one baked by someone you know! Last year I didn't get cake on my birthday and I was actually kind of bummed about it, even though I didn't think I would be. Then, for the next three weeks or so, wherever I went, someone was surprising my work partner (his bday is a couple days after mine) and me with birthday cakes to the point of where I didn't want to eat any more of it LOL.
How really sweet of your boss. She sure does sound like a nice person.
You guys, I just made my smoothie and needed to unstick the frozen blueberries from the plastic container. I took the container out of the freezer, gave it one shake, and rammed it straight into the kitchen faucet, breaking a huge hole into it. (I guess I just don't know my own strength after lifting a KB, LOL.)
Then I had to go through all the blueberries because, sheesh, broken plastic pieces look an awful lot like pieces of ice. I hope I didn't eat any plastic.
Do I have any emoticons left? I don't think I do.
: (
Okay, I'm off to work now!
Have a great weekend!
