Has anyone done a Terminator Rotation?

JamminX3

Cathlete
I'm thinking of doing a rotation of workouts using The Gauntlet, IMAX Extreme, The Viper, Boot Camp, C&W and straight cardios only (maybe some running). Has anyone done this? Just wondering if it's too much cardio and/or not enough wt. training to maintain the muscle mass I already have....And that's not a whole lot, so I aim to keep it!!!! :p But, I wanna shed some fluff.

Input?

Ha Robin!!! Now, I know what all that "stuff" is lying on the floor when we get down with class! It's FLUFF! Sorry, I can't help you with a rotation. I've only done The Gaunlet, BootCamp & C&W so far out of the ones you mentioned. Just wanted to pop in and say Hi! Sooo...Hi!!:7

Hi Robin,

That rotation sounds good, however, if you'd like to build more muscle you should add in either a total body weight workout or do an upper and lower body split during the week. Cathe has mentioned that circuit training videos can be done on consecutive days because the weights used are light which is what I would classify the Terminators are. Their more cardio-focused workouts. Listen to your body and make sure to take a rest day.

You might want to try this:

The Viper
Cardio Workout of choice
Total Body Workout of choice or split
The Gauntlet
Cardio Workout of choice
Total Body Weight Workout of choice or split

There are literally so many possibilites! After a couple of weeks you could change it up and substitute IMAX Extreme, Circuit Max, Bootcamp or Cardio & Weights for the other Terminator workouts. Good luck:)

I have done a Terminator Rotation in which I did all three in one week plus an UB tape.

Mon: Gauntlet

Tues: Stretch

Wed.: Viper

Thurs: Yoga

Fri: IMaxExtreme

Sat: CTX UB

I used the same weights for the Terminator workouts like I would in ME/C&W/BC.

After the Terminator workouts, I appreciated the "off" days but by the time the evening came, I was ready for the next Terminator challenge.

I noticed, my quads and hamdstrings were worked very hard, so this rotation definately works the legs a lot without any real heavy leg work.

I lost 1.5 lbs after one week - it's not water weight because I still have the loss. I also do not lose weight easily through exercise alone but it worked for me.

It was challenging and fun and I didn't kill myself.

Edited to add: I am an ectomorph in the ideal weight range.
