You know, I started reading these because my niece and nephew are into them and I like to share with them but I have to say that OOtP, which I am reading now, is AMAZING! I'm completely captivated and staying up way too late reading it.

Tonks was my favorite new character from OotP, so I'm super excited to finally see her in the flesh 
. I think the casting was perfect! As soon as I found out who Natalia Tena was, I went, OMG! She's so Tonks!
I just hope that her character doesn't get short-changed in the HBP movie. I especially loved, um... certain developments with her character and another one.

Wait till you get to HBP. I liked OotP when I read it (unlike a lot of people I knew, who were disappointed by it), but when I read HBP, I was completely blown away. I didn't think anything could top PoA as my favorite of the series, but HBP definitely slid in there .

It's so exciting, isn't it??!! Sparrow, while I love the entire series, I would have to say OOTP is my favourite, so I really can't wait for the movie!! By the way, I have heard through the grapevine that the approximate release date of the OOTP movie is 13-JULY-07:7 !!
I think they did an awesome job of making her look like the Tonks we have all imagined. Since she is a metamorphagus, I am sure we'll be seeing that famous bubble-gum pink hair somewhere in the movie, and I'll bet there will be other hair colour changes too....I can't wait!!

Oh I forgot to add, I can't believe WB is projecting so far ahead, but they have even given a tentative date of November 2008 for the release of the HBP movie!!!

They have to plan ahead now that they're juggling 3 big franchises (HP, Batman, and Superman). We know that OotP is out next summer, and from what I understand, Batman is out summer of 2008. Since they've already got Batman out as their summer blockbuster, they can't have HP or Superman competing with it, and speculation is that book 7 will be ready next year, so we'll need an HP fix in 2008--the only slot for it is in the Thanksgiving timeframe (Superman wouldn't work in that timeframe; it's built to be a summer blockbuster). Bryan Singer has said that 2009 is when the next Superman comes out, which likely means that (if book 7 DOES come out in 2007), the movie version of book 7 will probably come out in summer of 2010 OR if they're willing to go back to their "every 12 months" schedule (as opposed to the every "18 months" one they've followed lately), maybe even Thanksgiving 2009.
Oh and I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one who liked the "certain developments" in HBP. It's so funny because after I read OotP, I kind of guessed it was heading that way, but everyone said I was nuts. Not that I'm gloating or anything, but it sure feels good to be right .
