Hardcore Rotation Checkin Wednesday Aug 17

Morning Everyone -

This morning I did CTX Upper and 25 minutes of aerobics from the Gauntlet. CTX Upper took me 60 minutes with warm up and stretch. I was running late this morning or I would have done more. It takes me forever for setting up and put away of the weights, as I workout in the living room/dining room area and everything is stored in another part of the house. I wish I had a special "work out" room. Oh well....such is life.

I am going to try and get a workout in after I take my kids to school. They only have half a day since it is the first day of school. Waaahhhh! My oldest starts middle school today.;( My middle son starts 3rd. I still have my baby at home though, thank goodness, or I would be a basket case!;-)

Good Morning everyone,

I had a minor deviation from the scheduled rotation. I do not have Step Works, so I substituted KPC; blocks/kicks premix (40 minutes).

I know Diane Sue said BM step plus half of MIC step is equivalent to SW, but just didn't feel like it today.

I also did IMAX1 intervals 1-5 and L&G ankle weights premix (21 minutes). Altogether it was about 90 minutes.

I am really looking forward to tomorrow's w/o! HSTA is my favorite, favorite! :D

Sabrina, I can't believe your kids start school now. My son goes September 12.

I dont have a clue as to which tapes to sub. Could I run then do imax intervals1-5? Or do rythmic step then 1-5? I just did mic yesterday. Any help would be appreciated! I will check back as I plan to workout mid morning. Thanks

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday sure was quiet around here...there will be none of that nonsense today!!

This morning I did ME and plan to do an intense run during lunch today. (remember - I'm on week 4 of Aug05 rotation).

Terri - I think that's why I skipped this week...just didn't feel like dealing with the subsitutions. I think you should do Rythmic Step and then IMAX 1-5.

Susan - Excellent workout...nothing like the rotation, but hey...it got the job done and that's all that matters...right!!??

Sabrina - Let us know what you do today. What on earth are you going to do when you baby is old enough for school? Sounds like you'll have to have another (smile).

Lora - That would be a pain to have to put everything away. I'd have to add an extra 10 minutes to my workout if I had to do that...but gotta do what you gotta do.

Marietta-I am going to cry my eyes out when my baby goes to school!!!;( ;( I cannot have any more babies. I had to have a hysterectomy 2 years ago.

The only exercise I have had so far today is walking my kids to school and I will walk to get them too(they get out at 11:30 today). I am not sure what workout I will get in since my MIL is coming over for the evening. I also have to go to the store to get groceries and I need to go find my niece a birthday present for Friday (that means I have to drive for 50 minutes to go to the toy store one way). Maybe I should run some laps around the store. Do you think they would let me test drive some bikes? LOL!;-)
 
Sabrina - that will be tough. You'll be just fine though after the first few days. Enough of that....he's got 1-2 years to go??!!

Wow...you must live way out. I'm thinking they won't let you ride the bike long enough for you to consider it a workout...now, if you run the 50 miles back home...then we can talk. Just kidding...

Hi you guys!

Yesterday I ended up doing C&W and then PUB (just going up) because of time. I went a little heavier because I was only doing three sets though. Today, another substitution, I did LM step only (that was about 40 minutes) and then I did Imax 3 intervals 1-5. Another sweatfest!

Marietta ~ I can see why you went on to week 4. I have to substitute every day this week. Yes, I liked your comments on your LL work out. "Don't rest" You're a slave driver! LOL!

Sabrina ~ I know what you mean about at least having your little guy home. I'll have one home too. In fact, I told DH he's not going to preschool next year because I'll be too sad. At least my other DS 5 is only half day of kindergarten. Where did the summer go?!

Terri ~ What did you decide to substitute? I don't know anything about RS, but it looked like SW was straight stepping and no blasts, that's why I did LM step only today. I like that one, but I like it with the blasts better.

Nicole ~ How do you work out at night? I did yesterday's work out after our long day! Whew!

Susan ~ That looks like a good work out!

Yesterday we had a blast at the local pool. They have a lazy river, tons of water slides and a zero depth pool for my 2 year old. I took turns going down the water slides with my kids. I was the designated inner tube carrier. I considered it an extra little work out up those stairs a million times! What fun! It's a shame we didn't get over to that pool more often. Our usual pool looks lame now!

Ok back after my workout. I wound up doing step blast then the imax itervals. I wish I had seen what Marietta had said first! I forgot about the blast challenge at the end of stepblast so I felt like a wet tired noodle after that workout and had imax to do still. Oh well it is done now:) Later I am going to do PLB and abs. Last night I did pub the whole workout.

Dallas-I love lowmax so I know you had a great workout!
Nicole-I finally got the book:) I plan on reading some of it later.
Sabrina-I remember feeling that way when my son was young. He is now 24...oh my the years do fly!
Susan-Glad someone is looking forward to tomorrows workout :)
Marietta-What should I sub for friday since I dont have that step tape either? I should have skipped to week 4 as well and then did week 3 since next week I am gone from thursday through monday!

Hey guys...I'm back!!

I went and ran about 5 miles during lunch. It was humid and we did a run with an outrageous hill in it...Whew!! Good stuff!!

Dallas...so proud of your daughter...tell her not to hurt nobody!!

Terri...I would suggest CTX Step only (if you have it) or MIC (the step portion). I think either of these will work out just fine. Let me know what you decide.

Today I am not sure what I am going to do???? I don't have step works either maybe I will do step jam or step heat. Some blast from the past. (Just to see what to see what they are like again....ha ha I forget??

Lora I used to do that to with my workout stuff. Then I decided to take over the kids play room ha ha. They would not use the room until I would clean it.... Then it would get messy again, and they did not go down there for a month. That when I decided I was taking it over. Got rid of all the toys etc.... The BEST thing I have ever done..

Marietta CM is a circuit workout that does 5 minutes of cardio and then like 2 min. of wts. I DO NOT like it as well as Cathe's newer workouts. All the wts had combiation moves you worked lower and upper body at the same time....... squats with shoulder presses etc.... I am one of those that like's to focus on one muscle group at time.:D

Terri I am happy you fianlly got your book!! I am really going to focus on that book next week when the kids are in school. It is *FUN* to do this book with other people so I am so HAPPY that you bought it!! Lets start over mon. and see how far we can go :p

Dallas I have found working out at night can be such a WONDERFUL way to relieve the stress that accumulates during the day. I have always been a NIGHT person....So working out in the evening works out GOOD for me most of the time, but I have been finding when the boys are in sports that it is getting harder. They just started Flag football last night. (I plan to start working out in am. when kids are in school) Maybe I will even go to the gym ha ha. (Congrats to your dd that is GREAT)

Susan sounds like you had a good workout!! I may just do BMax step and then a quick prmix of something... Not sure????? Oh well I will let you all know tonight or tomorrow what I decide;-)

Nicole-I am all for starting over on monday with the book! Nicole I like splitting up my cardio in am and weights in pm. I am a night person as well. I stay up as late as midnight on weekdays even though I have to be up early. Well early for me is 7 at the latest. Weekends I am known to be up until 2 am

Lora-In my previous post I forgot to mention I oo have to move my workout stuff around. My treadmill is in my office and I keep my weights and step bench there as well. But my tv is in my Livingroom so I move the step and weights out there. I should just get a tv for the office.
