Hardcore Rotation Checkin Wednesday April 20

Hi Everyone,

I did GS Chest & Triceps this morning and since I don't run, I did 25 minutes of higher intensity cardio from The Gauntlet. I did a double stretch at the end. A couple more days and then I'm off to Vegas, so after Friday, I won't be checking in for a few days....in case I forget to say bye on Friday.

I love looking at the different combos everyone puts together. I'm so bad at that. I'm like "ADD" girl when I workout without using a DVD or plan. I usually get sidetracked all over the place and it takes me forever to workout. I like to keep my workouts to about 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes generally. Do we have a thread somewhere where everyone puts together their favorite combos? After seeing that post yesterday from the person (can't remember who now) did the HSTA legs & cardio, MM leg premix and the LowMax blasts with cool down.......it got me to thinking it would be nice if I could get lots of ideas like this cuz then I could write them down and have them for future planning.

This morning was cardio. I choose KPC.

I used to do my own mish-moshes. I haven't done that in a while. It's so hard to get up in the morning for me, that I start later than I want/need to. My favorites were when I'd do one body part/day. I'd do SH, PUB, PS (back to back) then tack on either cardio form CTX or abs.

I've been enjoying the Gym Styles combos so much right now, but may go back to that type of rotation for May.

Hello Everbody ~

I was up at 4:00AM this morning! Can't find my hardcopy of the April rotation (my house is so clean and picked up I don't know where I put it!) so I logged onto the website and felt a little queasy when I saw it was GS Legs floorwork. (In the back of my mind, I knew it was a "legs day".) AnyWHO, I did it all (even exceeded some of Cathe's weights on lunges and used a 16" step for the first set of leg presses.) Also did a very focused, "in the zone" Segment 1 of Coremax. I'm feeling maxed out emotionally (TTOM) so I'll reflect back on my early AM achievement to boast my spirit!

P.S. Lora: If I miss your post before your trip to LV, have a great time! I'll miss your check-in while you're away...

I am new so could someone tell me where the april rotation plan is? Thanks in advance. Is there one out for may yet? You all so inspire me to keep going. I have worked out many years but recently feel like it is more work then fun. Maybe because I really need a vacation from everything. I was injured by a drunk driver in Nov. 2003 and that was a set back. I was in treatments for 10 months so had to let up a bit on my workouts. Then running my own business is a stress at times. I am single with no kids still living in my home. My son is 23 so I shouldnt complain as you all seem to have more to juggle with younger kids and hubbies etc.

Working out should be fun, if it's not then maybe you could try different types of workouts and see if you like them. For example, I really didnt like kickboxing. When I was getting tired of doing Step, I gave KPC a try, and now really like it a lot!
What videos do you have?

By the way, I'm very sorry to hear of your accident. I think I'd become angry and bitter. There are so many good people of this forum that are supportive no matter what life throws at you/us.

Hi Susan,

Thanks for the warm welcome and the url for the rotation. I only have tow of the hardcore dvd's. Coremax and highstep. I have used my tivo and have a fittv version of her lowmax but I know it is not the whole workout. I also have most of her other stuff from fittv. Maybe I need to order some new dvd's to get me back in the FUN zone. I really enjoy her workouts!

Oh Trust me I was bitter and angry for a long time! Not to mention depressed. But at leat the depression is over. Thanks again and I am thrilled to be a part of these forums now!

Hi everyone,
Todays workout was Kick Max w/u and cardio only, KPC intermediate and High intensity drills, followed by abs, then Core Max #3, gym stlyle Back, Shoulders, & biceps. I am not sure how the rest of the week will go. We have family from Washington coming in tonight and I am having a dinner for 20 tomorrow. My dh leaves for Iraq on Tues. so I am very busy.

Kim it sounds like you had a good workout. I love feeling like I really put a lot of concentration into the moves that I am doing. 16 inch step? I used 17 a few times and dropped back to 14. I just feel it a lot in my knees when I go higher. Good for you!!

Lora, wish I was going to Las Vegas. We have been there many times and really enjoy it. I hope you have a great time if I don't get a chance to tell you.

I tell ya it really does help. Just reading this check-in right now is getting me motivated to GO and do my workout!!! I really am flirting with the idea of taking a REST day today because my rotation for today calls for Coremax and stretch. Well I did lowmax premix last night plus ab sulpt soooooooo....... now I am thinking of blowing off a workout tonight:eek: Or I may do Chest/tris...... Whatever will I do???? I'll let you know!!!:7

Diane Sue so sorry to hear your dh is going to iraq. He will be in my thought and prayers!! I cannot say enough how I appreiate our military and all they sacrafice for us!! Good thing you have this hobbie to get you through;-) Your dh is so proud of you as he well should be! I bet you shock a lot of people on on good of shape you are in. Hey what kind of rotation would you recommend for working my butt area to tone and tighten more???

Terri I am happy that you are feeling better and able to work out with us!! What was your first dvd that got you back??

Kim that was me last week with GS legs. I decided to go a head and do S&H legs. Boy did I enjoy that!!Why is it that legs are SOOOO HARD to work???

My name is Nicole I am 39 soon to be 40, and I have been working out to Video's/dvds off and on for the last 8 years, but really started consistently about 2 years ago. I started working out to Cathe last year and keep her in the mix mostly. I LOVE her! She is a the BEST! I have ALL her dvds.:7(can you tell I have a addiction?) I am Nurse, but am taking time off to raise my kids. I have 4.... ages 5-11 (2 boys and 2 girls) and a Dh who I have been married to for 20 years. Tell me where does the time GO???

Well I am hoping you all read this?? I know sometimes people may not read this after they post. Oh well ENJOY!!

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I started off slow after the accident using my treadmill for power walking. Then I saw cathe on fit tv and I was hooked. I am looking forward to getting more of her dvd's. I am now doing a cardio workout a day and weightlifting and abs daily. Alternating with jogging on the treadmill.

Four boys! I know you must be busy!
