Hardcore Rotation Checkin Sunday Sept 19

Morning Everyone -

This morning I did Kick, Punch & Crunch followed by Total Body Stretch #1. My legs are still feeling the effects of this rotations, as well as my abs. I really am starting to get into this rotation!

Susan - What website did you order your circular resistance band from?

Terri - Have you decided what you're going to do about rest days? I'm curious. How are you feeling? Do you have any of the symptoms of overtraining?

Nicole - Did you find a rotation to start on?

Hi Lora-I love KPC!

The boys ended up with large freezer bag size bags over half full with candy at the parade yesterday. Not bad considering it is that little candy and there were six kids fighting over it. lol!

DH and I went for a power walk last night with our 3 year old in his stroller. We ended up helping him Mom and Dad get their house ready to put up for sale yesterday.

Hope to get a workout in later. Lots to do today though and it is all almost out of town. Yuck!

Is anyone looking into buying the Jillian Michaels workouts that are coming out Tuesday? I am thinking about it, I love her on the Biggest Loser.

Lora *YES* I have found one that I printed up earlier in the year.(from vf) but I changed the legs and bsb days around. I will go ahead and post it below so you gals can tell me what you think!! It is called a ectomorph rotation which mean you work out 4 days extreme, 2 light days and 1 day off.


Day 1- ME
Day 2- S&H Ct (add 30 min. cardio)
Day 3-S&H legs (add 30 min. cardio)
Day 4 S&H Bsb (add 30 min. cardio)
Day 5 30 min. intens cardio
Day 6 30 min. upper body (C&W premix or SS 28min premix)
Day 7 Rest or you can stretch :)

You can also mix MM with PS series, and PH with GS series.

I have been *TALKING* about doing more wts. this should do }( ha ha

Hey Sabrina you will have to let us know of Jillians workouts!! I have never caught the show, but I would like to sometime!! It looks like it would be good. I loved watching Celebrity fit club.

They will be out next Tuesday, the 27th, now. The last I looked it was suppose to be the 20th.

Hi Ladies,

My rotation says MIS twice today and 200 situps. MIS twice has me worried. I will give it a shot though. I will add a run in sometime today as well.

Lora-I feel I must keep workimg out and a missed day puts me in a bad mood and feeling like I lost all my hardwork. I sometimes have o push myself and even if I feel yukky I workout. Except for the rest day before my vacation when marietta made me realize I needed one. What do you think? Do you think I may over train. I do cardio eveyday and weights everyday and some abs. This adds up to at least 2 hours a day.

Sabrina-I have considered her workouts. She looks amazing! If you get them let me know what you think ok?

Nicolee-Your rotation looks good. What are your goals?

Sabrina - Thanks for the link. I'll probably get them, although I wish Amazon had more info on their website for DVDs. I can never find descriptions. Am I doing something wrong? I agree she looks amazing. It's not a bad price for the set. I'll probalby get the whole set. THanks for pointing me in that direction.

Terri - I am hardly qualified to give you advice. I don't feel right judging others. I guess it depends on how you feel and how long you have been working out. I know I only train 1 hour to 1.25 on Tues & Thurs and 1 to 1.45 on M, W, F, Sun. I really only upped my times recently. It seems that you consistently work out about 2 hours a day, but if your body is used to that, I guess it's fine. There are many others that do it. I guess it all depends on how you feel. I tend to think I have the personality that could easily overtrain, but I'm trying to keep an eye on it. You seem like you are a lot like me, so I'd say to be careful and watch for symptoms. Also, like I said yesterday, I'll probably start taking rest days once in a while once a lose a few pounds. In the meantimne, I'm going to vary my intensity and keep an eye on how I feel.
 
Hey Terri I would like more definition and a 6 pack:7 ha ha How are you doing??? I would say when you are feeling yucky and tired to take the day off. I *ALWAYS* enjoy my days off. It really makes me appreiate workouting more, and put more energy into them. Does that make sense??? Oh tommorrow I am going to start the book again!! Now that is a workout ha ha. How are you coming along????

Sabrina and Dallas have you been working the book to??? If so what day are you on??? I need to read some pages to renew my motivation. :)

I had scheduled today off, but decided to do KPC/LG high step Premix. I skipped the abs at the end.

Nicole, I’m doing my own version of the organization book. I'm gradually going through each room, closet and drawer and making sure it's organized. I've purchased some shelving units and containers to help. The toughest for me are all the papers!! Between mail, receipts, pictures my son *makes* me keep and all the stuff they send home from school.... There's no end to it all.

I've never heard of the person who made those w/o's suggested, Sabrina. The link didn't work either. I'll have to try it again later.
Did you guys order Cathe's new ones?

I'm wondering about the Boxing dvd next summer. Is it like kickboxing without the kicks or will a punching bag be needed? I hope she puts out more details about it.

I think your rotation looks good. Not that I'm any expert, but, on day 6 you show SS. SS is tough, unless you go very light. If you give it your all doing SH, even with one day in between, you might be too sore to do that particular one. What is your goal? If it's to add strength, maybe make day 6 another muscle group, for example, sholders and abs (and not do sholders earlier in the week).

I wish Cathe would come out with a rotation called Ectomorph Upper & Pear bottom. That would be my dream rotation. Anyone want to take a stab at creating one for me? Speaking of that, where's Marietta been? Did she have to go out of town?

Susan - Thanks for the link. I'm going to check it out now. I checked out that Jillian Micheals website and she's got good credentials. She's a black belt among other things. I have no idea what she's like, but the blurb I saw on the Videofitness website about the DVDs stated that the workouts work your muscles while keeping the your heartrate up so you burn more fat. I also ordered the kickboxing one cuz if she's a black belt, it should be good. I hope I'm not disappointed. I'm looking forward to them.

Sabrina - Thanks for the link. I ordered them from Amazon. It will be my birthday present to myself. My birthday is the first week of October.

Terri - Maybe I need to start taking a day off. I now hurt my good foot. I think I strained it or something. NOT GOOD.
 
Oh No Lora-How is he foot feeling now? Was this from KPC? I hope it feels better soon. How much is the whole set of Jillians. I cannot get to the page where you can order all of them. I see some listed single.

Hey Susan my goal is to have more definition:7 I feel like I kinda have been neglecting wts for the past few months so I am going to build me up some muscles ha ha.

Actually this rotation is called a ECTOMORPH rotation where you work out 4 days extreme (that would be days 1-4) and 2 days light (I am assuming day 1 and day 6???) and 1 day of rest day 7. I copied this rotation off of vf and she said she got really good results that *everyone* could see. (I liked hearing that) So I thought I would give this rotation a shot.

Lora Day 6 would be Supersets 28 min. premix. I will have to check out some other premixes as well???? I want something short and sweet:D

Susan I could put S&H upper on day 2 and put legs on day 3??

The set was $50 at Amazon. I got free shipping. One of the 2 DVD sets is $18ish and the other 2 DVD set is $18ish and then the kickboxing one is $13.

YOu have to look closely, but (one is called Complete - meaning it has both DVDs) if you click on the disc and look up close, you'll see Disc 1 and Disc 2 on the cover. I don't know how to post a link or I would.

Lora you are the *Queen* of dvds:7 I can't wait to hear you reviews on the Jillian ones!! How do you like Cathes new ones??? I did the lower cardio the other day and enjoyed it!!

Diane Sue ~ I did see your reply. Sorry, yesterday I was up against the clock, but wanted to still get a work out in. So, every day you work out 2 hours? You break it up sometimes? That's what I've had to do lately because of the bus coming so early, but I probably average an hour and a half though. I wish I could do more.

Nicole ~ You starting to organize again!? You don't miss a beat! LOL! You're rotation looks good.

Terri ~ How are you feeling?

Susan ~ Glad to hear you appointments went well. Sorry about your veneer. Was that painful? It had to have been.

Sabrina ~ Your life sounds as busy as mine! Do you ever fall asleep if you stop? If I sit down to watch a movie with the kids, I'm as good as gone! LOL! Let me know if you order those DVDs. I think I'll wait until I hear some reviews.

Today was a rest day for me. My 2 older kids went with the grandparents today, so me and the little guy scrapbooked. Well, I scrapbooked. It's amazing how safety scissors and a piece of paper can keep him so entertained. There was a big mess, but I finished his 1st b-day! I know I'm really, really far behind. I just printed out his second birthday party. I have to get that done he'll be 3 in a blink of an eye! :-(
