Hardcore Rotation Checkin Sunday July 31

Hi -- if anyone's out there today.....I don't think anyone checked in ysterday (except for me).

Today I did Christi Taylor's Step Heaven. Or I should say tried to. Tricky coreography.

Have great workouts everyone.

What's everyone doing about the August rotation? I may start it on Tuesday, but I'm debating, as I was supposed to be doing something different. I can't start tomorrow cuz I have a dental appointment and only have 45 minutes to workout in the morning.
 
Morning Lora! Are you liking Christi Taylor? I have not tried her workouts.

Yesterday was Pyramid Upper body and today will be Pyramid Lower Body.

For August I think I am going to attempt Cathe's August rotation. Have you seen it? Holy Cow!!! I don't know if I will be able to make it through. I have not been working out that long. I will have to start the rotation a week late since we leave early Monday morning for Wisconsin for a week. We are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. Has anyone stayed there? We have before and it is a lot of fun. LOTS of water fun in the hotel. We wont have to leave! LOL!

Wow! August rotation! Woo hoo! I think I'm glad I committed to doing the A-Jock rotation now! LOL! :7 I would love to try it though. Maybe in Sept. when my kids go back to school and I'll have more time to commit to working out.

Sabrina ~ I've been bugging my husband to go to the GWR. It sounds fun. He's worried about having three kids and just us trying to watch all of them. My two older ones are dare devils.}( I can't wait to tell him you're going with three kids. Hey, I got my capris and love, love, love them! I can't wait to go check on the web site to see what other colors I can buy!

I didn't work out yesterday, but planned on it. If I don't do it first thing it's really hard. Today I have to make up, so I'm heading down now. Maybe an Imax or LM. I have to be somewhere by 1P, so I better get going!

You are right I don't think I will attempt to do this until the kids are back to school:7 Sabrina you will have to let us know how you fair????? Maybe we could Try it after the kids are in school ha ha. I need to get back into a routine again. Tomorrow I am starting my book called 30 days to a simpler life.(I LOVE this BOOK) It gives you jobs to do each day for 30 days.

Lora how is it going with your new rotation?

Sorry to barge in here but I have 2 questions. Dallas what capris did you get, the om=nes like cathe has on? What is the order number. Secone Nicole tell me more about this book. Sounds interesting.

Hi again,

If I do the August rotation, I'll have to modify it a bit, as I'm not allowed to do mountain climbers (squat thrusts or whatever Cathe calls them). I also only have 1 hour to work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1 and 1/2 hours to work out on M, W, Fridays and Sundays. I'm torn on what to do. I've been trying to do another week of non-Cathe and I just got my TLP DVDs and my Core Secrets will be coming soon, so I was gonna do a couple more Slim Series and then some Functional Fitness DVDs, although I still have to modify those, as I'm not allowed to do exercises where you hoist your body weight....i.e., triceps dips, push ups, etc, planks, etc. I hate having to modify, but if I don't I won't be able to bear the pain of the spasms for the next week.

Why am I such an indecisive Libra? I drive myself crazy. I'm like ADD girl all over the place trying to wing it and not follow a rotation and then when I follow a rotation and get "thrown off" due to a doctor appt or whatever, I beat myself up about it. I must learn to loosen up about this workout stuff. It's supposed to be fun not stressful. Okay, I'll shut up now......rambling! I'm definitely doing my new TLP Dynamic Strength and Power tomorrow, as it's only 45 minutes and I want to try it.

ETA: I agree the August rotation looks tough, but that's kind of what I wanted to do 3 weeks prior to vacation, as I'll be taking a rest week when I go to Vegas at the end of the month, but if nobody else does it this month, I might wait also.

As far as Christi Taylor, I'm frustrated with it right now, but if I ever learn it, it will be fun. It's harder to learn than Cathe. She doesn't break anything down at all. She just goes and you follow, or try to.
 
WOW I looked back at my previous post and I am so sorry about the typing! Core secrets is that any good? I have been looking for some new core workouts. I am still undecided on this rotation due to my vacation the 25th. I hate to take 5 days off from it. What would you guys do?

Hi Teri,
The book is called "30 days to a simpler life" by Connie Cox. For 30 days it give's you a job to do!! Tomorrow I will get a BIG garbage bag and work for one for hour to fill it up to take to Goodwill. I think day 2 is something like clean out a drawer etc....... Anyways I am doing this with a friend and it is just kind of fun to follow along.:D Kind of like my Cathe rotations:7

Hi everyone,
It has been a busy week for me and looks like this next week will be too. My children have been over every evening working on our fence or helping with other tasks. This becomes a family affair. Everyone comes over, grandchildren as well. Then we all make dinner. When done we play games and chat so I have had a hard time getting on here except to talk to dh. Anyway I will try to fill you in
Mon.Cardio coach2 w/ the jump rope on the challenges and KPc High Intensity Cardio, MM upper & stretch
Tues. I Max 2 Blast mania, followed by I Ma 3, Cathes MM Lower, Pyramid Lower starting with the dead lifts ending with the floorwork, Abs with the med ball and weights
Wed. Rhythmic step, Bowflex & free weights Chest & Triceps I am doing 5 sets of 10 on each exercise here
Thurs. Cardio Coach 3 Bowflex and jump rope for the challenges, Circuit Max Cardio only, Core Max tough core, Barbell rollouts 5 sets, kneeling crunches with the BOw flex 5sets, wood chops with a weight 5 sets all 20 reps
Fri. CTX Power Circuit w/u & cardio, Body Max cardio and circuits,GS legs, calves and floor work with the stretch.
Saturday was HSch w/u & cardio, Cardio coach # 4 using the Bowflex, and challenges doing the jump rope and high intensity step moves ie. Power 30's, step tap fast repeaters, anything to get me past where I usually go. I finished off with Shoulders 5 sets each Bowflex front raises, side laterals, and rear flys, then abs doing Bowflex resisted crunches, Med ball reverse crunches and wood chops with weight off of a ball, 20 reps 5 sets each. I finished off with HSch abs/core with some resistance and the stretch.
Today was a rest day.

Sorry so long. Cathe's next rotation looks good and I printed it, but I am not sure if I will get into it till after Sept.. Not sure what I will do. How late I am up and what is going on leaves me to figure it out when I start. I will see DH soon and may be gone for a few weeks. I really do enjoy our checkins and read them often.

I'm back! Busy, busy day!

Hi Terri! ~ How have you been? I ordered my pants from SanDiegoFit.com and ordered #3074 in Pacific Blue. They are so comfy and really light weight. I found out about them from another thread and Sabrina who checks in here. Yes, I think they are the same as Cathe's, but a different color. I'm curious about that Core Secrets as well. As for following the rotation because of your vacation, why not follow it up until your vacation? That's a tough call.

Nicole ~ I may have to start that book with you. I could use a little motivation to conquer some of these closets, drawers, etc in my house.

Diane Sue ~ You have been so busy and you're still able to get your work outs in too?! Amazing!

I did get LM in this morning before I left. I think it, no I know that it kicked my butt this time. Has this happened to you guys? We have been staying up too late. I hope that is all that's going on here. :-(

The Great Wolf Lodge is great! The kids will have a blast. There is so much for them to do. It has even gotten bigger since the last time we were there. They now have a three story dry play area for the kids. My SIL is coming too. We rented a condo for Mon - Thurs. There will be 4 adults and 5 kids. Cannot wait!

I LOVE those pants too. There is another style too that is not on the KOS website. I order mine from Sharon at Active U. I have the catalog. The others are great too.
