Hardcore Rotation Checkin Saturday April 2

Morning Ladies -

Ugh...still couldn't sleep last night. Having major problems at my job...on the verge of a nervous breakdown...seriously! I also developed a sinus infection and had chills bad last night. I started an antibiotic so hopefully I'll be better today. Perfect ending to a rather bad week, eh? (sorry to sound negative again today.....tomorrow will be a better day, right?)

Anyway, today was my scheduled rest day and I did 1 segment of Stretch Max. I will start the Strength Rotation tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday everyone and see everyone tomorrow. I haven't eaten yet but breakfast will be the usual. Fruit for snacks.....Large Salad for lunch.
 
Hey everyone, it's me again.

After my usual Saturday weigh in an honest assessment of my body, I didn't lose weight last month, but I didn't gain and I'm at the low end of my usual weight. I really am nowhere near as muscular as I want to be, as I am 5'7" and I don't think I have the body type that builds muscle easily. I'm really psyched about the Strength Rotation and I'm hoping to get good results; however, since I've read on the Ask Cathe pages that tall people generally need longer rotations to build muscle, a 12-week Rotation is not out of the question for me...but I hope I don't get too bored on it..as I tend to need variety.

Everyone else psyched for Hardcore Strength?

Sorry to hear about your work and health challenges. It sucks that when "life hits" our training (one of the things we love the most) has to suffer. Thank goodness its a REST DAY...you sound like one deserving lady. I'm suffering with a head cold/sinusitis myself the past couple of days. Although I don't have insomnia, my sleep is interrupted EVERY NIGHT by my pets. (I know... but that's a whole other post!) I skipped GSL/GSC workout yesterday. I stayed in bed a little later this AM with a raging headache (from this cold). I still have the whole day to workout. The last few days, I've felt better in the middle of day than in the AM or later afternoon. Unfortunately, I'm at work in the middle of the day, thus the missed workout yesterday. I feel like I'm holding on to my routine by the tips of my splitting fingernails! I am looking forward to the strength rotation. I don't have much trouble building/adding muscle. My weakness is endurance/cardio. Perhaps, I will be able to offer encouragement and support to you for the HCS rotation since strength building is my forte'. I hope you begin to feel better. Be kind to yourself and think of all the love and well wishes being directed toward you from all your friends on this forum. Catcha later!

I am sorry about the problems at work and health, I have been there, please focus on what you want, and ignore what you don't want. We become what we think about, it is unfortunate that we haven't had any training in right thinking or using or minds. I am a student of the Science of mind as some fo my friends and we have had great results in our lives. Picture yourself healthy, successful, happy, find out what you really really want, I became very succeful after being fired from a stupid job, when life gives us lemons, make lemonade! Books that I read that have been important to me, The power of Now! I love the Power of Interntion by Wayne Dyer. Feed your mind with positivity! We tend to dwell on what is wrong, think about what is right and keep your mind on what you want!

It was Imax 3 for me today, I had coffee before starting it, but I feel proud that I did it all.

It is already 60 degrees out, so I am off to do a run outside in a few minutes and maybe a segment of stretch max when I return.

Lorajc and Kim, I hope you both start feeling better soon!!

Logos, Good job on finishing IMAX 3. I love that workout!

Hey, Lorajc and Kim - I hope you guys feel better soon. Something about the switch in the seasons sees to get everyone sick. Be sure to drink lots of water and get plenty of rest and take it easy.

I went for a 3 mile walk with my dogs this morning. Trying to work through the pinched nerve/muscle strain in my back. It's getting better, I think. It's gorgeous outside, sunny and around 50 degrees. My gf just called and we are going to meet in an hour to go rollerblading. I didn't do MM last night but I'm going to fit it in today. My daughters are coming home tonight (FINALLY!) after being on vacation with their dad for 10 days. It will be awesome to have them back - I've missed them!

I'm going to be looking for a high step today. Tried last night but with no luck. I'll need it when my BC/ME arrives Monday!

Good afternoon,
I did Kick Punch & Crunch up to the core segment, stopped & did Cardio Kicks drills only, coremax3 finished KPC & did St. Max #1.

Lora I hope things get better for you. I know I have had those nights where my mind is still going and no matter how tired I am I cannot sleep. Once in awhile is ok. Maybe you just need to do a lighter program and schedule in more rest days till you get back on top of things. Look for things that make you feel good. I like to go to a light hearted comedy movie, sit in the hot tub and read to just lose my mind somewhere else. That often helps.
