Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Wednesday Dec 28

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did The Firm 4 Cardio Sculpt (not sure if that's the name) but it was weights and cardio with the Transfirmer. I added some impact to the aerobics (as usual). It was a pretty good workout. I used my Platemates so I was able to increase my weights on chest and back work.

I can't wait for my Kelly Coffey and Pam Cosmi DVDs to get here. I was hoping they'd be here yesterday so I could do a new one, but no such luck. I have pretty much DOMS from that Rebecca Small weight lifting one I did the other day.

Have great workouts everyone. I wonder if Cathe will post a Fat Loss rotation for the New Year.

Good morning!!

This morning I did Legs and Glutes...wanted to do a L&G and KPC combo workout of some sort, but I woke up too late for that.

I'll probably do the Elliptical and chest work at lunch today.

Lora - Glad you got in some good workouts...how do you find the new workouts you are going to purchase? How do you know if you'll like it or not? Or do you just like to take chances?

Hi all the follow...I'll check back in later.

Morning Everyone!

Lora ~ So, you're liking those platemates. Hmmm.;-)

Susan ~ That's what my ds and I did when we stayed home Christmas day...played with all the toys, games, etc. It was kind of nice staying in our jammies. :) It really was a nice Christmas. There were a lot of good surprises for the kids.

Marietta ~ You got some good workouts in too. Yes, so far I like the SS. There's nothing like Cathe's cardio though. I love my new step. Holy cow! It seems gigantic compared to my other step. I can't wait to try all Cathe's step workouts with it now!

Terri ~ Do you do a SS DVD everyday? What kind of rotation are you following with it? The set came with a book and different rotations. Your iPod Nano would be great for running. How many songs does that one hold?

Nicole ~ Hope your're having fun in Indy!

Sabrina and Diane Sue ~ How was your Christmas?

Well, I woke up with a cold. :-( So, me and my ds cuddled and slept in this morning. :) I didn't even know he came to our bed in the middle of the night. I have to figure out what I'm doing workout wise. I'll check back later.

Have a good one everyone!

Hi guys!

This morning I did MIS. My legs had a little bit of doms from yesterday's LowMax and Firm It Up.

My Jolie weights arrived yesterday. I wore them today, but didn't really utilize them with the workout.

Lora, so you did get Plametmates! I use mine a lot.

Marietta, I think it's great that you're able to w/o during your lunch break. I sill have to get up at 4am. I know I said I'll cut back, but I just cant help myself!:D
Lora said yesterday that she hears of dvd's from videofitness.com and they post reviews on that site. I purchased TLP's new workouts shipping this week. It's my first time preordering from someone other than Cathe.

Lora, did you order Tracie's new workouts? Do you have an xerball? I plan to get a 3 pound one. The presale ends on the 31st.

Dallas, sounds like you caught your sons cold. Load up on Vitamin C. I had one coming on and took a little extra and now my cold is gone.

Hi Terri, Diane Sue, Sabrina and Nicole. I'll check in later.

Susan - Yes, I ordered the TLT's and just ordered a ball yesterday. I use 4 and 5 pounders for my current ones. You may want to reconsider. I have regular large medicine balls, but I just ordered a 5 pounder from Leigh Crews.com yesterday. It was a good price. I want a 4 pounder also, but I'm going to check Walmart first.

Marietta - yes, I take big chances and end up with stuff I don't use that often. Not very frugal with the money these days.

Hello Everyone,
We got home late last night I am going to get a few things done around here and than I am off to Wisconsin, and Chicago:eek: My sons team did great!! He won a trophy, and my other son got one as well since the coach decided to use him as a sub in case someone got hurt!!

Dallas I am happy you like your SS dvds!! I tell ya these really work your lower body in a good way. I found when I first started doing these and I did a different dvd everyday...... it hit a new spot in my body that I did not know I had. I had not done tear it up for awhile and I did it sat with my toe weights and I had doms for 2 days. Enjoy!! Sorry your baby was sick on Christmas!!

Sounds like you all had a wonderful christmas!! It came so fast this year!!

Hello to everyone, and hope you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I will be back Sunday!!

Take Care,

Hello Ladies,

Nicole, welcome back :) How exciting for your son! I bet you and he are both proud! So are we continuing on together with SS? :) I know Iwantto.

Dallas-I do one SS workout a day and usually just go with whatever I feel like doing. I got mine as you know on ebay so I have never even seen the rotation book. Maybe you could e-mail me a sample rotation. I usually do a SS workout and a cardio and a upperbody everyday. I will sometimes give the upperbody a day of rest. The nano I have holds aprox 1000 songs. I hope you and your son feel better!
Susan-I would think as long as you feel good working out why not keep going. WHat does your doctor say?
Lora-I like reading your reviews on workouts as I hate to waste money on ones I will never use. Tell me about the Tlp's? Are they out yet etc. Thanks.
Marietta-Do you have another short week next week at work? I am not a big celebrater of New years eve so I plan to take next weekend easy. I want to start the new year with less stress and a bright attitude!
Diane Sue-You use cardio coach right? I was thinking of downloading one for my ipod for running but the samples I heard didn't sound good. I wanted your opinion. Does he talk through the whole thing or is there actually some music to listen to?
Sabrina-How are you girl! When do yopu start working?
Anyone know of some great music I can download with a lot of BPMfor running?

Terri

Good afternoon
It's good to see everyone is getting back on after the holidays. I have been busy w/ the family this week. Today I only have two grandchildren here, but I have an eye appt.. They wanted to go Mcdonalds but I talked them into Subway so I could go for a salad. I'm trying to get my eating back in order after the holidays.
Tues I did Cardio Coach vol. 3,IMax2 Intervals 1-5,GS Biceps+2 sets alternating hammer curls,HSCh core,50 ea. woodchops, Bowflex kneeling crunches, Bowflex resisted crunches,Bowflex resisted oblique twists, scicilian crunches, rocket shoots. In the evening I did GS triceps and 3 sets bowflex triceps extensions.
Yesterday I recieved the iFIT red rock canyon treadmill workout tape. I started with this today but increased the speed and the inclines. It incorporated walking in parts with light dumbbells upper body exercises, I liked it. I followed this with the KM cardio only, then I did GSlegs, stopping before the floor work and adding in 2 sets ea. squats, leg extensions, leg curls, and calves, then finished off the floor work and str.

Terri, I like Cardio Coach. You can get some really intense workouts in. No he doesn't talk through the whole thing. I have vol.2,3,&4. I will probably purchase #5. They did have a place there where you could download vol 2 for free to try it out. Also when you do the downloads you get an instrumental only download as well.

Hi to everyone,
Have a great day

Hi again,

Nicole, that great news about your son! I bet your all having a wonderful time at the games.

Terri, Last month I said I was going to cut my workouts back to only one hour ~ just so I could get more sleep. My dr. says not to do anything more than a walk. Hmmm, try to explain my favorite w/o IMAX2! hahaha I LOVE Genie hops and straddle taps!! Love them!
TLT is www.tracielongtraining.com http://www.tracielongtraining.com/Pages/Shop.php
She does Functional Fitness workouts. They are being released this week. I believe shipping starts today...YAY! You can see video clips of them.
BTW, what's a nano and an IPOD? Music players of some sort?

Lora, so you think 3 pounds is too light for a ball? I'll see if my Walmart carries them so I can actually try one. That's where it seems a lot of people are getting theirs (according to her forum).

Hey ladies!!

I did get in my workout at lunch but I did shoulders instead of chest. I was reading the new Muscle Fitness-Hers and saw a shoulder routine that I wanted to try....it was a pretty darn good little workout...different and effective.

Susan - I love being able to workout at lunch too...it does allow me to sleep a little longer and to get some rest between workouts. Let me know what you think about your new workouts...do you think you'll wait until after the baby to try them?

Lora - I love that you are so willing to try new things...wish I was more like that.

Dallas - Oh my...using that new step will be like you just receiving all new workouts!! You'll definitely feel it! Hope your cold doesn't get the best of you...

Nicole - Poof...she's gone!! Glad things went well with your son's games. Have a great trip and well chat when you get back.

Terri - I want an IPOD, but darn if I know where to get good music from. I'm not patient enough...I've heard good things about cardio coach, but I know that a lot of people don't like the music - but heck...how can you please everyone? How did things go with you dad on Christmas or did I miss that already?

Diane Sue - You just amaze me with the workouts you put together...you really mix it up. I just pick one workout and do it...I've got to get more creative...like you!!

Later...taters!!

Susan - I definitely think 3 pounds is too light for you. I think you may even be a little more advanced than me (from what I've read in the past). I think it was you that posted you recently did Firm It Up with weight....correct. I know when I started TLP's, I was told (by Traci) to start out with a 4 lb (if you're advanced). I use a 4 pound most of the time, but recently i've been using a 5 and hope to be using 6 in the future. I also use my 8 pounder for some of the moves in the old DVDs that involve the lats and arms. If you can't find them at Walmart, Leigh Crews.com has the best price on the small Spri Squishy balls. I recently ordered the easier bands also.....my legs are toast!!

Marietta - I like buying new workouts cuz I like to have lots of variety and I always think if they're too easy for me now, I can always use 'em when I'm 75 and have to tone it down a bit. I won't have as much money to buy them then either (LOL). The problem is storing all of them

Hey there...I'm back.

I finally got a work out in this afternoon. I started putting more x-mas stuff away and the time got away from me. I did Tone it up with the toe weights and CTX - All step and stretch. I really can't wait to do an Imax with my step, but the SS DVDs are loooonnngg. ;) However, they do seem effective. My poor glute after today's workout. }(

Marietta ~ Yes, I can't wait to try out RS with the longer step. I'm sure it will be much more fun.

Diane Sue ~ Whoa! You got some great workouts in. I agree with Marietta, how do you come up with all of that? I just have volume 2 Cardio Coach. I'd like to try it out now with my heart rate monitor really soon.

Susan ~ Thanks for reminding me about the TLT's. I ordered them and I got the 4lb squishy ball from the site Lora recommended. Thanks Lora. I hope 4 lbs will be an OK weight? I think I'm set now. OK, after Cathe releases her new ones, I'll be set. ;-) What more could I possibly need?! You guys are a bad/good influence. ha ha!

Nicole ~ Have fun in Wisconsin.

Terri ~ I'll try and type up those rotations and e-mail them to you. My two older kids come home really soon from a 2 night sleepover at YiaYia and Papou's, so I probably should go and get a few more things done here while my little guy is napping.

Have a great night everyone!
