Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Tuesday May 3

Morning Everyone - Boy, I did not want to roll out of bed this AM!
Today I did Slow & Heavy Chest and 1/2 hour of Cardio from Cardio & Weights. Cathe saw a post I had on the Ask Cathe Forum regarding using DVD's for the May rotation and she suggested using the Slow & Heavy series and following the May rotation. She did suggest that I do BB Leg's & Glutes instead of Slow & Heavy Legs though. She did not say I had to work legs twice. What does everyone else think? I have time to do 5 cardio's a week with each body part or I can do 4 cardios and 2 legs.

I'm PMSing and was so hungry when I woke up that I had to eat almonds and yogurt before I could lift this morning. I'm still starving and I'm eating breakfast now. I hate when I get like this......famished!!

Have great workouts everyone.

ETA: I forgot to mention....I'm finally seeing some density and muscles appearing on my upper body...slowly but surely. I've been doing Cathe DVDs exclusively since February.

Hi!

How is everyone doing today? I had a good workout last night. I did HSTA with no cool down and went right into the HSC 32 min Timesaver (it has no warm up or cool down) then did abs/core and stretch from HSC. It was fun and I felt I got a good workout.

It will be just a run for me today.. Probably 6-7 miles.

Have a great day!

Beverly

Hi everyone,

This morning was MM with four sets, twelve reps, of lat pull downs.

Lora, Besides CM, I think the following workouts have really good abs segments (ps, I purposely left out S&HT,abs since there are a lot of planks...I hate planks):
SJP
C&W
ME, with medicine ball
BC
MIS
PUB, the MOST grueling of them all.

I'm not sure if you take note what I post each week, but I like to work legs at least twice a week. Usually one heavy w/o and one endurance. My heavy w/o's are GS, SH, PSL or PLB, then I add on some hamstring curls and press or squats using weights three pounds less than my actual weight.

Hi Everyone,
I did Lowmax this morning. I hope to get 1 session of Coremax in
later today.

Have a great day!

Hi Everybody~

I did 3 intervals of LowMax this AM but was running short of time so I had to quit there. I'm following a rotation suggested for May by SCM. I don't have all the WO's so she graciously substituted WO's I have for those I don't! I tried to do that on my own. That's how I ended up plugging in LM this AM! Well, she subbed ME Lower body premix, and GS Biceps and Shoulders. So I'll do those after work.

I'm so MOTIVATED. Re-took my measurements last night (4 months since working out consistently w/ Cathe) and posted my results on the SUCCESS STORIES forum.

Have a great day and productive workouts everyone!

Hi Everyone,
I got through more of a workout today but when I was done I really felt like I had been flattened by a steam roller. Took aspirin and vitaminc c on the way to pick up my grandaughter from school. I think I over did it a little. Then my glutes and hamstrings are actually sore from yesterday's workout. This doesn't usually happen to me often.

I did KPC w/u & cardio and then did KM cardio through the intensity blast. Then did Super Sets upper blast with stretch.

Beverly that sounds like a good circuit workout. I haven't done circuits very much in quite sometime. I have mostly been doing the cardios only or lower portions of the circuits. I was tempted to do Circuit Max today with my upper work.

Have a great day,
Diane Sue

Diane Sue hope you get your second wind this afternoon!!

Lora when I am pmsing I EAT lots of brownies and candy bars:7 So you are doing WAY better than me!!

Bev is HSC just cardio?? I will have to check it out since I going to kick up my cardio as you can see from my above rotation. I would value any input.

Take care,
~Nicole

Hello!

After work I did the ME Lower Body Premix which was kinda cool because ME was my very first Cathe WO and I haven't done it since February. I also did Gymstyle Biceps and Shoulders and the stretch at the end.

Have a good night everyone!

Hey ladies -

I just wanted to say that I'm so proud of everyone. We've really been sticking to this checkin and rotations. Let's keep up the good work. Pretty soon we'll have to send Cathe pictures cuz we're gonna look so good. Sorry for being emotional here (darned PMS again).

Nicole - I ended up eating caramel creams and 2 pieces of chocolate today - my bad!! I hope I start soon. I hate being crazy psycho, hungry woman.

Diana Sue - I'm sorry you're feeling under the weather. I hope you feel better soon.

On another note, I just bought a new Fitness magazine (Oxygen & Fitness are my faves). It's Women's Health ....it's new. My husband reads Men's Health and loves it and he saw an ad in it that Women's Health was debuting this month. I'll let everyone know how it is.

Hi Lora ~

I recently started a subscription to Women's Health. I like it a lot. It contains intelligent information and not a lot of "fluff". I also subscribe to Oxygen (which I didn't like a couple of years ago, but then I picked up an issue at the store the end of last year, liked what I saw and decided to subscribe). I also subscribe to Fitness Rx and Fitness (which does have a lot of "fluff" in it but I ended up w/ an extended subscription when I bought a DVD from Collage Video a while back. My subscription to Fitness doesn't expire until 2008! I'll probably pass it on to my daughter at some point!)

I hope you like Women's Health and am interested in your opinion.

Nicole - Now you have me craving brownies!! I'm weird about food. Since I'm a recovering person (from addiction), I have to be very careful with food, as I could easily see myself having an eating disorder. I tend to do the emotional eating and have to keep an eye on it. I also don't know when to stop eating! There are certain foods I forbid myself to have cuz I know I can't stop eating them once I start and brownies are one of them. I also never and I mean never eat french fries or donuts... the french fries for digestion reasons and the donuts for the same reasons as the brownies. Chocolate.....I can't live without, but I have to be very strict with only allowing myself a small amount or I can easily pig out! I try to keep my chocolate addiciton under control with DQ sugar free fudge bars...........off to have one now....I hope it's as good as the brownies would have been. x(

Kim - Is Fitness Rx a good magazine? I've never seen it. I agree that Fitness has a lot of Fluff....but I like some Fluff cuz I read beauty magazines also. Do you like Self and Fit?

Lora,
I know what you mean!! When I make a pan of brownies. I keep cutting slivers until I eat WAY to much brownies. Ya know after I posted that I have been craving brownies to. Better go exercise to take my mind off those yummy things!!:7

Take care,

~Nicole

Hey did any of you see Oprah today?? Very good on healthy eating!!

Lora and Nicole !

Enough about brownies already! I can so totally relate to emotional eating and not knowing when to stop when it comes to certain foods. As much as I LOVE CHOCOLATE, the one food I don't know enough to stop eating is Low Fat Cheez Its! I have 'em in the house pretty much all the time but outta sight outta mind!

Lora - I do like Self magazine but I didn't renew my subscription to Self because I started the three new subscriptions to: Women's Health, Fitness Rx and Oxygen. I've thumbed through Fit but not closely enough to have an opinion. Do you like it? I'll take a closer look next time I'm at Borders. Fitness Rx is currently one of my favorite magazines. It is packed with information gleaned from a multitude of sources. Also there's not a lot of advertising! (One of my magazine pet peeves!) It's printed bi-monthly (another reason why I've subscribed to so many. Gotta have that fix!)

I hope the DQ Sugar Free Fudge Bar hit "the spot". This to shall pass (just as it does every month, right?)

Catcha later! Have a good night ladies and "killer" workouts tomorrow!

~ Kim

Hi Everyone,

Well I was supposed to do GSchest this morning but I just wasn't in it. So I looked at my collection and pulled out circuit max. Well I was wandering what I got myself into. I haven't done that tape in forever. After the cardio and then the weights I would have to stop and drink water before she would go to another cardio.

I did circuit max and then had to get up my two 13 year olds. After I go through grouling workouts I have to baby teenagers. And to make matters worse our second bathroom turned into a blasted gym. My husband won't give it up. So we are constantly fighting for our turn.

Hopefully I can return to my rotation tomorrow.
