Hey Everyone -
Let me know when and if you want the title changed.....I just did the above so we can see what it looks like (I'm just being my weird self).
This morning I did Power 90 Masters Cardio Intervals (it just came last night). This was a 55 minute workout with a lot of the same cardio moves Tony uses in Plyo X and other DVDs in the series. Lots of plyo's and it was so much fun that when I finally looked to see how much time was left in the workout, there was only 11 minutes left! There is about a 5 min. warm up, 5 min. cool down and 5 minute stretch at the beginning and end. I like the long stretching in this entire series. I also like that you can work them as hard or as easy as you want to depending on your needs. I pushed moderately hard today and burned 360 calories (compared to Imax 2's 400 the other day -- I think that's a pretty good one).
The other DVD that came last night (which is the last of the series) is Upper, Middle and Lower. I reviewed it last night and it is very similar to Core Synergestics in P90X. I can't do a lot of the moves in it, so it will be a hard one to figure out how to modify and get a good workout. It has tons of body weight exercises.....all different kinds of pushups (which are the biggest problem for me -- as you all know I have to do them on the wall cuz of my injury and this doesn't always allow for the best workout and sometimes can even be a bit much for my neck/shoulders).
Speaking of neck/shoulders, I'm still in a lot of pain. I hope I didn't do anything too serious to myself.
I also rec'd Yoga in the Garden of Serenity last night from Fitness Organica. I reviewed it also and I was excited cuz it is chaptered really well. It is a good, serene stretch DVD with a lot of neck stretches, torso stretches, etc. I'll probably do some of it this weekend.
Diana Sue - So you liked Plyo X, did you? I've been wanting to do that workout for a while. Maybe I'll throw it in one day next week and it will inspire me to do a P90X rotation. Although I get real sick of Tony towards the end of it. I also have to modify quite a bit, so I don't get quite the results someone like yourself would. I have to use the band and do pulldowns instead of doing pullups, cuz of my injury. I got the heaviest band they carry at BB, but I probably could use a heavier one! I don't know how the heck you can lift 75 lbs over head. That hurts my neck and shoulders just thinking about it. I have a hard enough time lifting 45 overhead and that's about as much as I think I'll ever to lift overhead with my injury.
Have great workouts everyone. I hope I can be around as much today as I was yesterday. I've got so much work to do and I really shouldn't be....but....I like talking to you ladies!
Another long one today...........shoot me!! Babbling maniac!
ETA: Darn....the title got cut off...it said "aka Fitness Maniacs".
