Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Sunday August 7

Morning Everyone,
This morning was Imax 3 and since I missed my 400 jumping jacks & 40 pushups at work yesterday (stressful day at work), I did them after Imax 3. Since I'm not allowed to do terminators (d/t my neck condition), I did running with high knees on the rebounder for a couple of minutes. I did part of the higher impact of Imax on the floor and part on the rebounder. When I woke up this morning my back was hurting from the impact of my aerobics yesteray, but I'm trying to build up my tolerance a bit. (for those interested in calorie burn - I weigh 124 lbs and burned 450 calories on my HRM).

I have a small problem. I developed a callus on my one foot, from limping around for those 2 months with my foot injured. I started using that liquid callus remover on it and now it is cracking and hard and looks awful. I went online to read up on care of calluses (never had one) and it said not to use this liquid stuff and that they can get infected. I don't really want to have to go to a foot doctor if I don't have to, but I'm going to Vegas in a few weeks. Any ideas?

Hi everyone! I'm right on track though wasn't able to post! I am so loving this rotation. I've found out that the endorphins don't kick in for 40 minutes. Prior to this rotation, my workouts were 30-50 minutes so I was missing out on all the good stuff.

So far, no injuries, nice toning/definition in my leg muscles, my arms seem smaller, and I had a really great dance class on Saturday. So this is really working for me. (Of course, right after my workout I'm lying on the floor drenched in sweat and muttering ohmygod, ohmygod...)

KarenL - I probably won't "run" either. I'm subbing walking with intervals of slow jogging (which I call "slogging")

Lorajc - maybe try bacitracin ointment and bandaging it real well? Hope it improves!

I am mentally preparing for IMAX3 later this morning. Woke up hungry so thought it better to have some breakfast early and do it mid-morning. I was not sore from 200 walking lunges earlier this week, but those 400 yesterday have me humbled today!! Tomorrow and Friday will be my rest days this week because of other things going on.

Tuesday is the 5 mile run day. I am not much of a runner, so I will plot a walking route that will take about 50 minutes to walk fast, since if I did run, it would be 10 minute miles(I am slow). I will have to sneak out, because I don't think my old dog could make a 50 minute walk, and she will be sad not to go!

Good Morning Everyone!

Lora ~ I would go to the dr. since your are leaving for Vegas. You'll probably want to wear sandals on vacation? Have you tried any over the counter remedies first. I wouldn't know where to begin to suggest something.

KarenL ~ Welcome to the check in. Can we be seeing results already? Yesterday at the pool my DH was staring at my legs. I asked him what was wrong. LOL! He said, "Nothing. Your legs look nice!" Is there a cloud higher than cloud nine?!

I have to reorganize the beginning of this upcoming week's rotation, so depending on how I feel later. I may run 5 miles, and then do BC X2 on Monday. Or just switch Mon and Tues.
We're going to see American Idol with the kids on Monday night. I know that we'll be home late. I heard Bo Bice may not sing! :( I guess he hurt his foot. I asked my dd can't he just sit and sing?! LOL!

Have great work outs!

Hi Susan, Nicole, Marietta, Terri, Diane Sue, Beverly!:) Are you all enjoying your rest day?!

I don't run either cuz of my neck injury. I also can't power walk, as I work out at 3:00 am and my hubby doesn't think it's a good idea for me to be out at the time of night since the bars are just closing. In the past, I have used the "blast only" segments of various Cathe workouts on my rebounder..........but I was afraid my body was starting to get too used to Cathe's aerobics, so I tried to switch up for a while. I think I'll probably either do that again though since it's such a high intensity and that's what this month is all about ...right?

I'm off to go try some of that stuff on my foot. My boss will have a fit if I need to take time to go to the doctor this week. I already have a dental appt on Wednesday and will need to cut my workout short (which I hate doing).

Hello Everyone,
Today is my rest day:7 I am still feeling doms from those 400 walking lunges I did on Friday. Sat I did Imax extreme (I did not do those terminator's either Lora.

I plan on subbing IMAX 3 for running tomorrow!!

Yes Dallas I am enjoying my rest day :D

Take care, and hope you all have a WONDERFUL Sunday!!

~Nicole

This AM was Bootcamp x2. Whew!! Glad that's over. It's weird to think that Bootcamp was my first Cathe workout. I had been doing The Firm and Taebo advanced. Bootcamp kicked my butt good. I did it all the way through but couldn't do all of the tricep dips, terminators, or the icebreakers. I would have to stop with about 3-4 more to go. Today doing it all the through twice was wonderful!! Thanks Cathe!!

Ok, back after finishing IMAX3 and the 20 terminators. I had to do 10 and then rest 30 seconds and do the last 10. But I also did not modify IMAX3 very much, which is a miracle, since that is one tough workout. After 2700 yards of swimming this afternoon, I deserve a nice rest day tomorrow!

Hello ladies,

Today I will be doing the bootcamp twice as I have a cathe friend here in colorado and we are doing this rotation together. Well in our own homes but we e-mail each other:) Her schedule is to do it today so I decided to move that days workout to today as well. I am glad to see Jana did it today as I wanted someone here to let me know how it went :) Wish me luck! I am going to go do it in an hour. I will check in when done!

Lora- Sorry to hear about your foot. I agree with Dallas you should try to see a doc. Show your boss the foot and maybe he will let you go!:)
Jana-Congrats on twice bootcamp!
Dallas-What a sweet husband you have. I bet that was the highlight of your day:)
Dorothy-Good job and enjoy your swimming
Firmdancer-I was glad to see someone else say that about endorphins. I have thought for awhile now that they don't kick in for me until about 20 minutes into a workout.
Nicole-Hi and have a fun rest day!

Hello to everone else who checks in.

Terri

Hi ladies!

The only thing I have to report is that I am DONE PACKING!! Woo hoo! I am ready to go. Now I just have to make sure everything is ready to be left in the house. Need to do dishes, load or two of laundry, and a few other things. Ick! I am not sure about the workout for today though. Better get back to work. Juat thought I would drop in for a second and say "HI" to you ladies.

I see we have some new faces! Hi and welcome to all!!

Those scheduled for a rest day have a nice relaxing day. Those of you not having a rest day, get to work!! LOL!

Have a great day everyone!! :)

Ok I have just finished bootcamp twice! Seriously ladies do not fear this workout. I think you will be surprised how fast it goes by and that it's not as tough as one might have it built up in your mind to be. I had thought I wouldnt do any other workouts today but after I did it I may actually do a short cardio tonight.

Sabrina-HI and have fun on your trip

Terri

I'm gonna go in a work the early shift tomorrow and try to get into a foot doctor. Only problem is that I won't be able to do Double Boot Camp tomorrow. I'll have to do a 45 minute premix of something. I have rescheduled Bootcamp x2 into the following week. I'm bummed that I'll have 2 short workouts this week. Oh well, I must take care of my foot.

Hi everyone,
Today is a rest day for me. I like seeing what all of you do.

Lora, I would cover the foot with a bandage and some neosporin. My daughter in derm highly reccomends this. It heals more slowly but leaves less scarring. I am sure it would probably hold some moisture in there as well.

Great job everyone.

Wow, lots of check ins today.

HI Sabrina! Glad you're all packed and ready to go! Have lots of fun. Can't wait to hear about the water park.

I thoroughly enjoyed the rest day today. We spent the day with the kids. Terri, I'm glad to hear that you had energy left to work out after BCx2! I'm doing that work out tomorrow. I don't think I'll be adding anything on though! LOL!

Lora ~ I'm so glad you're going to the dr. You've been working out hard. At least on your 2 short days you're still getting a work out done.

Nicole ~ I think Imax 3 is a great substitution. That work out kicks my butt! For me, running 5 miles is easier! I can't wait until I can do Imax 3 all the way through.

Good night everyone!
