Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Monday Sept 19

Morning Everyone -

This morning I did Step, Jump & Pump. I modified some of the higher impact on the rebounder. My rebounder rip is on the skirt cover that covers the springs and not on the rebounder itself. It's still a bummer. I hope it doesn't rip any more.

Nicole - I have only done the new Cathe one one time. It was easy to follow and the music was generic. I think next time, I'll listen to a CD and do it. The lower body premix is in my rotation this week and I think I have one of the new ones in my rotation next week also. I'll let you know how those DVDs look when I receive them.

Lora-I am glad you can still use your rebounder.

Going to walk the boys to school this morning and if it is not raining maybe I will take a power walk with little man in his stroller. Going to try my hardest to get a workout in later. DH is actually in his office today and should be home regular time tonight. Woo hoo!

Yesterday was a fun but long day. My SIL and her family were here from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. My MIL and FIL were here from 3:00 to 7:30pm. At least it was nice and we could be outside.

Nicole-your rotation looks good. Might have to try it at a furture date. ;-) I have not been working on the book lately but I need to get back at it.

Susan-how are you feeling? How far along are you now? I am not sure what happened with the link. Amazon.com or Target.com both have those workouts. Just type in Jillian Michaels.

Dallas-We have both definately been busy lately! You would think I would have no problems falling asleep but I do. I cannot seem to stay asleep either. Sounds like you had a nice rest day with your son. It is amazing what entertains them. :)

Today I did MM plus Total Step and Total Stretch #1 with stability ball. Good workout! I skipped the core in MM. This was just over an hour and a half.

Nicole, last night I reorganized my pot, pans (lids too), cutting boards, and bowls.
Your rotation looks good. One rotation I tried after taking a long break was five-day strength/endurance, one-day cardio, one day off. So my week was for example, day 1, chest: SH, plus PH, day 2, back: SH plus ME, light cardio, day 3: Bis and Tris: SH plus PUB and abs etc.

Sabrina, I did a search on Amazon for those new dvd's. They look interesting. Since I just ordered Cathe's new ones, I might wait for reviews on these. What workouts do you do, btw? I know you're real busy with your family so I was just wondering.
I'm 19 weeks along now and feeling great!! I'm very lucky.

Dallas, Yeah, when my veneer fell off, it was sensitive, but nothing compared to my other apt.

Terri, did you do MIS twice?

Lora, How long have you had your rebounder? It shouldn't rip. They look so much fun. They were selling them on HSN yesterday.

I am back. Went for a 25 minute power walk. I let my youngest choose which way he wanted to go so we were only gone 25 minutes. He did have us going up and down a couple nice hills. ;-)

Susan-I am glad you are feeling well. I have all of Cathe's workouts (including the pre-order), Winsor Pilates(almost all of them), I have some of the core secrets (I have not done these yet since I have not had them very long), and I bought P90X recently, and I just pre-ordered the Jillian Michaels workouts. There are several others I would love to get but I have to get them a few at a time. ;-)

My work phone has been ringing since 7a.m. I guess it is a Monday for sure! My rotation says today is a rest day but who knows what I will wind up doing :) I may actually try and take the rest day!

Lora-How is your foot feeling? Did you order the Jillian Michaels dvd's?
Nicole-Ok I know the drawer I will clean out :) It should be interesting...
Sabrina-All that company wow! Sounds like you have a close family though and that is great.
Susan-No I only did it once. I no way felt that I could or should do it twice. I was afraid of injury if I did and it didn't want to risk it.
Dallas-Do the kids get to go with their grandparents often? I bet that is a fun time for them.
Marietta-WHERE ARE YOU?
Diane Sue-what a wonderful thread where your dh posted. You two are very lucky to have each other.

Well if anyone gets the Jillian dvd's let us know how they are. I am tempted but really want to hear a review first.

Good afternoon,
Yesterday was my rest day. I spent it with my family. Today I did Rhythmic step,no stretch, then MIC Interval blast challenge , then MM lower only, Bowflex 4 sets each extensions,leg curls, leg press and calves, then MM core and st.. I think I am going to pretty much the last two week rotation I did, maybe altering the cardios. I did change to 4 sets on the Bowflex this time. Last time I did 3.

Dallas, yes I break it up sometimes. If I leave something, it is usually abs or upper body work. I do at least one rest day. For me this year they made kindergarten earlier so I have to be there earlier to pick up than last year. Although I had times last year where I would do cardio, take children to school come home do weights pick up from kindergarten come home bathe and go back to pick up the older children. I know family things can take up time and I do believe we can get an effective workout in a shorter time span.

Afternoon Everyone!

Today I did S&H chest adding on an extra set of those 6 count push ups. I then did Imax. I still have abs to do. I'll have to wait until after karate. Both of my kids get tested for their orange belt this afternoon. I'm worried my DS won't pass. He still gets messed up on a few self defense moves and some of the punching/kicking. My DD started after him, but is really catching on well.

I really like breaking up the S&H series and focusing on one body part. Last week I did two body parts (upper body), but then it was hard to get the hour cardio in too. Nicole, it looks like you're following something similar?

Terri ~ Yes, my kids and two other cousins go with the grandparents on Sundays. The plan is we all go to church and then they go on with the older kids. We didn't make it to church this past Sunday, but they took the kids shopping.

Sabrina ~ I can't wait to hear about the Jillian DVDs.

Nicole and Susan ~ I've been doing drawers here and there, but no closets. I still have a few more I'd like to tackle.

Diane Sue ~ You do sound like you have a close knit family. Your family reminds me of my DH's family. We would get together for Groundhog's Day! ha ha! My MIL finds any excuse for all of us to get together. She's so sweet. She even plans her vacations around our schedules. I keep telling her not to do that though.

Nicole - I laughed when I read your post about minimizing. That will never happen in my house. I am the Queen of Excess and I have an excess of all things good. LOL.

Susan - I can't remember where I got my rebounder. I've only had it since February. I got it online. I'll have to try and find the website.

Diana Sue - What rotation are you doing this month?

Terri - A rest day sounds good. I tell ya, I'm soooooooo sore from KPC yesterday. This doesn't usually happen. I must have been extra agressive, as it's TTOTM! LOL. I may end up taking a rest day this week also. I guess I'll wait and see how I feel on Saturday. Saturday is my busiest day, so that's the day I prefer to rest when I do.
 
Does anyone know where Marietta has been? I'm worried about her. I hope everything is OK! I e-mailed her, but no reply yet.

I will let you ladies know how Jillian's DVD's are when I get them. I think they are due out the 27th now instead of the 20th (not sure why) so I will not have them until the 29th. :)
 
Maybe she wanted to release her DVDs the same day Sheryl Crow's new CD comes out! LOL! I can't wait for that. I just love her!
 
Ok So I did some upperbody work, chest, back and shoulders from ctx. I knew I couldn't do a rest day yet!! I plan to do some abs later and maybe tri's and bi's. At least I am resting from cardio today:) I have no plans to do cardio today...

I think I have been taking your rest days for you ha, ha. My trip to Chicago was not really rest, but I tell you boy am I out of shape now:eek: I did ME this afternoon and it practically killed me.

When I was doing static lunges the back of my calf started cramping up ;( I did complete them because I was at the end, but MAN......

Dallas I am happy to hear you are enjoying your rotation!! I am really excited about starting a S&H rotation. I really like the pace of that one. I am SOOOOOOOOOOO........ tired about being in such a hurry. Hope your little boy passed his test!!

Hey we had better get going Susan is making us look bad ha ha. I need to go clean a drawer after I get done on-line.

Lora I have a BAZILLION books on organizing/simpifing I just wish the books would do the work for me ha ha.

Evening Ladies!

No workout this afternoon/evening for me. Lots of excitement though!! Had to pick up the boys from school since it started to pour down. I am sitting in line at the school, I am still in the road since the line is so long, and here comes the hail. The hail started out not to bad but then it turned into quarter size hail. I am getting all worked up since I am sitting there in my new Avalanche. The line is not moving and the kids are not coming out since it is coming down so hard. I could barely see the car in front of me it was coming down so hard. I sat in line for at least 25 minutes to get to the front of the line to pick up my middle son. Now I have to do it all over again to get my oldest son from the middle school. I drive over there (I go around the block since it is basically across the street) and I cannot even turn the corner to get to the entrance to the school. The streets are flooding since there is so much rain at once. I decide to park and run up to the school to get my son and by the time I get there I am drenched. I cannot find my son and decide to drive home and see if he walked (even though he shouldn't have because of the rain) home. Get home and he is not there. I leave the other two boys at home and drive back to the school and my cell finally rings after I have been sitting outside for a while and he is still in the school wanting to know where I am. I get back home and I am totally soaked. I walk into my kitchen and the umbrella from the our outside table is sticking into one of the kitchen window screens and has managed to get stuck on the roof of the house. All three of the window screens of my kitchen windows are ripped up. Thank goodness that the windows were not broke. I get some of the mess cleaned up it is almost two hours later. The rain has finally slowed down and I think ok time to calm down. NOPE, the siren goes off for a tornado being spotted!!! I am ready to pull my hair out by this time!!! Things are finally calmed down now. We had to go over to my MIL's to see how she was doing since she is scared of storms when my DH got home. Long night, time to rest!!

Sorry for the long post, but I had to rant to someone. :)

ETA: My new truck has some dents too! x( I am not sure exactly how many since it is hard to find them while it is wet. I wonder how many other marks I will find?!
 
Sabrina ~ I am so sorry that happened to you! I'm glad everyone is OK! We had some pretty severe weather this AM, but nothing like that. I hope your new truck isn't in too bad of shape. That is just horrible! It's a good thing the windows didn't get broken. How was your little guy during that storm? I know mine was freaking out a little and it was no where near the intensity you got hit with. Hang in there!

Nicole ~ Thanks for asking both my DD and DS passed and received their orange belts. I was kidding my DH that his kids are caught up with him. ha ha I want to get in on the action, but there's no time for me to take a class. There's an awesome cardio bag class that I would love to take, but no day care or sitter. Oh well, hopefully Cathe's new DVD will take care of that! BTW, Nicole you can't be out of shape you recently got two nice compliments. You'll get back into the groove.

I didn't get my abs in after class. My DD had way too much homework. I'll have to add them in for tomorrow's work out. Tomorrow, I'm watching my sister-in-laws boys while she goes to the hospital to find out what stage of lung cancer her dad is in and what the treatment will be. Say a little prayer for him and her. Thanks!

Good for you Terri! Isn't it nice to focus on just weights sometimes. Like Nicole said then you're not rushing so much!
