Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Monday October 3

Cathlete
Hi Everyone,

This morning I did Back, Biceps and Shoulders TS premix. I have a doctor's appointment (foot x-ray) after work and have to work the early shift. I wish I would have had time to get some cardio in, but I didn't.

Have great workouts everyone.

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I didn't work on Friday so I didn't get a chance to check-in. I was so busy over the weekend that getting to a PC was entirely out of the question.

Yesterday I ran about 4.5 miles on my treadmill before going to church.

This morning I did IMAX 3. At lunch I will probably do a little more cardio and work my back.

Lora - let us know how your appointment goes.

Have great workouts...

Good Morning Everyone!

I stayed up too late last night. I got into this cleaning/organizing/de-clutter mode. I got one room done and started the kitchen. I plan on finishing the kitchen today. Yesterday, I finished getting all of our outside decorations - hay stacks, corn stalks, gourds, pumpkins, etc.. I have to finish setting it up today because we got home just before a huge storm came through.

I plan on starting HC-Faux rotation today. Marietta ~ Did you feel the cardio was enough? And how long did each day take you? Just a ball park. The next three months are going to get busy, so I'll need something quick, but effective.

Susan ~ I saw your rotation. I don't have PS, but I'll print it out for future reference.

Nicole ~ How's your sister? How's your son's dr. appts going?

Terri ~ How's your mouth? Did you take some extra rest days? I hope!:)

Lora ~ Did you see the thread "Long and Lean vs. bulk"? I don't know if any of that info would be of help to you. I think honeybunches1 started it.

Sabrina ~ Where have you been? Hope everything is OK?

Diane Sue ~ You must be so proud of DH and all the great things he's doing in Iraq. You two are a cute couple!:)

Today calls for step only of Imax 3 and MM chest, and abs (?). I forgot, but it's in the work out room. I'm feeling like I'm needing a little more cardio today, so I'll do the whole thing. I'll have to do the chest work later.

Have a great day everyone!

Dallas

Hi ladies!

I have been gone a lot this weekend. I went on the scenic drive all day Saturday (I think I ate too many goodies!) UGH! and then I went to another city to do my grocery shopping (they have a Walmart Supercenter). I have managed to get some long walks in with a little running. I need to get started with a rotation though. I am thinking the Butts and Guts one. Those are my problem areas. I'll have to check it out and see if I feel up to it.

Dallas-I am here just busy. Still have not managed to get out of that funk that I am in though.

Lora-hope the xray goes well on your foot.

Susan-are you still feeling well? I hope so. I was sick with all three of my boys. The first was the worst though.

Nicole-how is everyone doing?

Terri-How was the dentist appointment? How are you feeling?

Hi Marietta and Diane Sue!

Have a great day!! I will check in later.

Hi guys!

This morning I did CTX Step Intervals and PS Chest, shoulders and triceps. I think I'm really going to like this months rotation I set up.

Dallas, you said you're looking for some quick and effective workouts. DO you have CTX? It's really a good series. I got it about a year and half ago.

Lora, Let us know how your x-ray turns out.

Marietta, Isn't it funny how we (you and I) can find time to check in when we're at work?? hahaha How do you like the Pure Strength series?

Hi to everyone that follows, I'll be back a little later.

Hey Everyone!

Well after having to take the weekend off I am looking forward to working out. I plan to do cathes october rotation but add in cardio everyday and a freestyle leg workout. I love working upperbody so I am looking forward to this.

Lora-Did you see my post yesterday about looking more cut after working out less for a few days?
Dallas-Your yard decorating sounds like so much fun
Marietta-imax3 is a great workout but it gets to my knees sometimes.
Sabrina-I hope you can get out of your funk soon
Susan-how far along did you say you were?
Diane Sue-Hope you have a great day with whatever workouts you do.
My mouth is still sore but not as bad as after saturday! I feel like I can take on the world after the weekend of rest and no fun:(

Terri

Hi Again,

A little change in my above mentioned work out. I thought I was supposed to do chest today, but when I got down to the work out room it was MM -legs because of this I only did Imax 3 though interval 7 (step & blasts). Then I did MM-legs, abs and stretch. I think I'm going to like this rotation. I think today's work out was about 70 minutes. The phone rang in between cardio and legs, so not exactly sure.

Susan ~ Thanks for the advice on CTX. I'll save that one for Nov. or Dec. when it gets really busy around here!

Terri ~ I'm glad you're feeling better ad got lots of rest.

Sabrina ~ Awww, I hate when I get in moods like that. This forum helps snap me out of it, usually.

Lora ~ There's several new posts in the Ask Cathe section about lower body, tight jeans, etc. Maybe those will help too. Hope your x-ray comes with news of all healed!

My Aunt from Marietta (ha ha), Georgia is coming, so I have to whip this house into shape. She gets here Thursday. Boy, do I have work to do!:-(

Dallas

Thanks everyone for pointing out those threads for me. I've printed a bunch of stuff out, but haven't had time to read it. I'm very frustrated. I'm working out harder than ever and gaining weight. I'm seriously thinking about doing a couple weeks of non-Cathe to try and shock my system, but I'm so anal about sticking to rotations. I should have 2 of my Jillian Michaels DVDs today, so I'll probably do those this week.

Terri - Yes, I saw your post about looking more cut, but it sounds to me like those couple of days of rest drained the fluids out of your system and you looked more cut. I think when you constantly work out, your muscles retain water and give you a puffy appearance, since they retain water when they're repairing. At least, this is what I've read around here.

I'm back again, during my lunch break.

Dallas, that's a good w/o you did today. Are you doing Cathe's October rotation?

Terri, I'm about 21 weeks along now, and feeling great! I've been trying to think of names lately. I'm stuck on one for a boy. Hmmm....

Nicole, I was going to pack up my nice work clothes (suits) tonight in one of the clothes organizers I recently purchased on QVC. After reading a post earlier today regarding what to do with more expensive clothes after you've had children. I'm thinking of just getting rid of everything. I'll never fit into some of them again.
How is your family doing, btw?

Sabrina, Cheer up little Buckaroo! We all get into our "funks". Keeping myself occupied, seeing friends and exercising help me a lot!

Lora, I swore to myself I'd never mention this again on this forum, but, it sounds like you're willing to "do what it takes" to loose this extra weight and once lost, maintain it. Correct? That's from my perspective on what you post. If I'm correct, I'd suggest changing your diet. Keep in mind I'm just suggesting..... What you need to do, is get your body in ketosis. That's it. You've got to get your body through this process, which takes approximately 7 to 9 weeks. Once you've hit ketosis, your body becomes a furnace. Fat will melt off your body so unbelievably fast; you'll literally see results every day. No kidding. My only concern is getting YOU there. You've mentioned you have genetically high cholesterol. This process is NOT necessarily "healthy", but it will promote fat loss and it's short term (10 - 12 weeks TOPS). If you think it's something you could or want to do, let me know, and I can have a diet plan written for you.

Hey Everyone,
Took the weekend off. Today I did ME. BOY did I have a HARD time getting out of bed this morning :-( , but I did do it!!:7

This is my last week of doing this rotation. Susan what rotation are you doing that you like so well???

Lora hope you foot x ray shows everything is fine!! Good luck and keep us posted!!

Dallas my sister still is not well. Her Dr is weaning her off the steroids and her treatments and then she will start chemo. (she does not have cancer) The chemo will kill her immune system thus killing this autoimmune disorder (We are hoping this happens) Thanks for asking :)

Sabrina sorry to hear you and your boys were sick. Happy to hear you are on the mend:) I am always doing research on alternative treatments for my son, and I can tell you Vit. C is a WONDER. It has really helped my other kids as well!

Terri glad to hear your tooth is better:)I did outside work all weekend does that count for decluttering ha ha. Today I would like to work on one of my hot spots in the kitchen.

Hey Marietta is that where your mom got your name?? Ha ha.

Diane Sue I think it is cool that Bill comes to this forum as well!! I enjoy his posts. Be sure and give him a BIG KISS from all of us:7 Really appreiate him looking out for all of us!! Hey does he ever do Cathe with you???

Take care,
~Nicole

I thought I would check in and then I have to go outside and do some landscaping. I stopped at the nursury and bought plants and soil to help fill in where they dug the sewer lines out and mulch so I have my afternoon filled. Anyway. Here is my planned Oct. rotation. I havent decided whether to alter it a little on the 2nd week or keep it as is for the whole month.

Tues. cardio, PS CST
Wed. cardio, PS BBA & PSLA abs, Core Max tough core
Thurs. Cardio, PS legs,Bowflex cable kickbacks and calves st
Fri.Cardio, GS BSB & CT Timesavers with one st. no w/u
Sat. Cardio & Abs CM Complete Core and sicilian crunches and cable crunches

Today I did Step Blast, All of Mondays workout but ran out of time for abs. As I am planting this afternoon I may have to make it up tomorrow. Oh & yesterday was my rest day. I was areally bummed as I went to church and my daughter discovered my wedding ring had lost the main diamond. We hunted everywhere for it.

Dallas, I am very proud of my husband and his work. He is a great guy. Thanks

Nicole, Thanks I will give him a big kiss. No he doesn't do Cathe with me. I have went running with him though. And once in awhile he will use the strength equipment. I am looking forward to buying a bag set up for Cathe's upcoming workouts. DH has been wanting one for awhile now.

Hi to everyone.
Have a great day:)

Susan - Yes, I'm interested. I will try, but I don't know if I can do it. Yes, I'm good about my workouts, but I have difficulty restricting calories. As I've said before, I get really hungry and when I get hungry (every 2 hours or 2.5 to 3 hours, I need to eat). If I don't eat, I get shaky and irritable, as well as get headaches. Also, I'm a very VERY picky eater and only eat certain foods. I hate meat and a bunch of other stuff. I also don't cook (don't even have a stove that works) so it would have to be able to work with all of these factors. (email [email protected])

Well...well...well....good afternoon!

I went for a run during lunch today...I didn't get to do any back work. I think I'll do that in the morning...hey, maybe I'll use my Pure Strength DVD.

Dallas - On that rotation I did add on to the cardio...especially in the first week...I think it gets better cardio wise in weeks 2 and 3.

Sabrina - Hi there. Hope all is well...

Susan - I haven't even opened PS yet...tomorrow may be the day though...looks like it.

Terri - Girl...I love IMAX 3! That is probably my favorite workout of them all right now. I can see how the impact can bother some...but it's never been a problem for me.

Nicole - sorry your sister is not doing well..will keep her in my prayers. Hope all is well with you...are you doing a rotation?

Later girls!!

Hello again,
Thanks for the rotation Susan:D I will join you in week 2 next week. I am looking forward to doing the GS again. Have not done those is a while. What is the time factor for these 90 min.???

Marietta this is my 3rd week of a S&H rotation. I am getting SO STRONG ha ha not really, but it sounded good.:7 I am with you I LOVE IMAX 3 if some of it gets to high impact for me I go straight for my rebounder.

Diane Sue I do hope you find your diamond!! It might show up so keep your eyes open.

Dallas hope you have a GREAT time with your company :D Isn't it amazing what you can get done around the house when Co. is coming:7

~Nicole

I just got home from the doctor a while ago. My foot is still not healed but is "healing nicely". I'm not allowed to do any impact on it still. He didn't even want me to jump on the rebounder, but I don't think that's going to happen. He said to do what I've been doing so far, as it's been working. I think he knows better than to try to tell me I can't modify on it. I told him I had already started to incorporate jumping over the last 3 weeks and he reiterated I shouldn't do it. He told me to use the bike and ellipitcal. I explained how bored I get with these. Anyway, he said the fracture could take up to a full year to heal. I then asked if I had to refrain from jumping on it for that long and he said....we'll wait another 2 months and x-ray it then and see where we're at, but stated it would still be a while before I can jump on it due to the location of the fracture and the stress placed on that particular place in the foot (especially in people with bunions like myself).

Thank Goodness I have the rebounder.

Lora I remember when I was in the 7th grade I broke my foot, and I did limp around for a year. I would listen to the Dr. and take it easy. Just stick to what you are doing. So happy to hear it is healing nicely though. I really think rebounders are wonderful!!

Take care,
~Nicole

Evening All,

I think my kid's pumpkin was a little too big. I might have tweaked my back. x( I felt something this morning, but worked out anyway. As the day progressed, it was bothering me more. Oh no! I just took some Advil. Oh yeah, I also went to Oberweis for milk and got six 1/2 gallons of milk in a crate. Either one could have been the culprit. KM is up for tomorrow with chest and stretch. I'll just have to see how I'm feeling.

Lora ~ You have genetically high cholesterol too? That's why I have to watch my diary intake. I love my cheese, but have only a very little in my egg white omelette. The dr. just put me on Lipitor. I tried lowering strictly with diet for 6 months, but only got it down to 285. I was so bummed.

Sabrina ~ I agree with Susan can you get together with girlfriends and have a girl's night out. That's always fun. It may also help get you out that funk!:)

Marietta ~ Are things getting better for you?

Terri ~ Did you get my e-mail? I copied the rotation into it.

Susan ~ I'm following the Faux CTX -HC rotation. I would wait to get rid of some of your clothes unless you really don't like them anymore. My size fluctuated so much after my pregnancies. At about 6 months post-partum I was wearing size 2 and then a few more months sz 0. I had to keep buying clothes to fit me. I think it was breastfeeding that did that. Now I'm back to my sz 4's.

Nicole ~ I'll keep your sister in my prayers. I saw your post about the vitamins for your son. That is awesome. Keep up the good work mommy!:) I finished my kitchen, pantry and all today. That was one room I was putting off. Now for my office tomorrow!

Diane Sue ~ Your rotation looks awesome!

Better get to bed - 5A comes awfully early!:-(
