Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Monday Jan 23

Morning Ladies -

Ugh...it's Monday already!! I did not want to get out of bed this morning and I do not want to go to work!! I did Strength in Motion this morning (TLT). I'm still getting used to this one. There are a lot of different moves in it. I think I'm favoring BBBB so far. I REALLY like that one.

I am so happy to be back, and posting again!! I really missed you all:D I had a great time with my folks!! The time went so quicklly! It will be nice to get back in a routine again. Company can really get you off track!!

I am going to do the TLT/Firm rotation/alternating Cathe in on some of the cardio days, and even wt days, and hey I probably will have to put in some SS haha. So I guess I am kind of following my own rotation, but reallly I am following Tracies because she gives you parameters......... like what to focus on upper/lower etc...... I will be curious to see what this does for my core???? I will keep you all posted!!

Lora I am happy to hear you are going to be doing this rotation to!! I am starting today with Endurance for movement.

Oh Btw I did get a new tv for my workout room, and today will be the first time I am using it!! I am really excited because it is a better tv!! (flat screen)

Please update me on everything???

Susan how are you feeling and has the baby shifted??? How are you feeling??? Are you still working out like crazy:7 Hey how are you liking the TLT's??

Terri are you still addicted to SS's??? I will keep you posted on these TLT's. I know people really raved about Tracies last batch..... did wonderful things for there core. I am hoping it will do the same for me.:D

Sabrina did you make any sales yet??? Hoping everything is going well for you at the work place!!

Dallas how are you likeing the SS's, and have had a chance to look at Tracies rotation???? She made it easy so you can really sub anything you have??? Love to have you join in!!

Marietta have you made any Dvd purchases yet???? I know you were thinking about it???

Diane Sue how have you been??? How is your DH doing??? I think about him when I see the news!! When will he be coming home??? I keep him and your family in my thought and prayers!! I know it is hard!!

Lora ~ I agree - Monday...blah! Thanks for the well wishes for my aching body parts. LOL! It's the top part of my foot where it bends. So, it even hurts when I walk or just flex it up. **SIGH** Have a good day at work!

Nicole ~ You're back! You're tv sounds wonderful! That will help get you back into the swing of things. I've been doing my own thing as far as rotations, but I hurt my foot over the weekend, so I'll be taking it slower this week.:-(

Today I did Bryan Kest Power Yoga again. I'll do CM #1 and some floorwork for legs.

I have to get the kids moving. I'll check back later.

Good morning!

I wouldn't mind Mondays if I didn't have to come to work...wow, I think I need an attitude adjustment. I did have a good weekend though...just to darn short!

Yesterday I ran about 8 miles. This morning I did Circuit Max. It's my first time doing that workout. I liked it...

Lora - Trust me, I know exactly how you are feeling this morning. I hope this isn't an indication of how our week will be.

Nicole - So glad you are back!! You were missed. We are trying to come up with a new name for our checkin...if you have any ideas let us know. I ordered the Kelly Coffey workouts last week...haven't received them yet though. Your TV sounds super cool...that would definitely motivate me!!

Dallas - What happened to your ankle...I'll go back and read the weekend threads. Hope you get better...whatever happened.

Nicole-Welcome back! We missed you! Congrats on the new tv for your workout room. I have not made any sales yet. :( I am hoping to get something soon.

Dallas-Did you get your kids off to school? Mine are out and Ethan is watching Sesame Street. How was your weekend? I hope your ankle gets better soon!

Our weekend went ok. Having some problems with my MIL though. Not sure what to do about it.

I am on duty from 1-5 this afternoon. I am keeping my fingers crossed. My mom will be here watching the boys. She has been good about watching them when I work.

I will get some kind of workout in this evening, even if I only manage to get on the treadmill. ;-)

Dallas - Be careful with that foot. The area you describe is the metatarsal area. That's where my stress fracture was. I didn't really even feel it when it happened (until after it started hurting and I had to think back on what could have happened). I'm not trying to scare you, but be careful.

Nicole - I am currently doing my own version of Tracie's rotation. I'm just using my newer weight lifting tapes and doing them in a different order. I already had my rotation figured out when she posted hers. After I finish this week - I'll probably start my Push DVDs for a while and see how I like them (if they come) and then after a month or so - I'm planning on doing the TLT rotation just as Tracie posted it. I had to order Express Cardio .....I got it at CD Universe for $9.99. Love that place - I have a bunch of yoga coming also.
 
Shoot Lora! That's the part on your foot that you have been having trouble with all this time?! You don't know how you did it either? I think the yoga helped it this morning. It doesn't hurt that much right now. I definitely won't be doing intense cardio for a few days. Thanks for the warning. I still have core and legs to do. My SIL called and is having some family troubles. We were on the phone for an hour!

Sabrina ~ Hope you and your MIL smooth things over...hang in there. ((((HUGS))))

Marietta ~ Did you come up with a name yet? I'm still thinking. Not sure what's going on with my foot, but I think if I give it some rest I'll be back in the saddle sooner...I hope!

Lora, have you tried any of Mari's products from her website? I saw that you were looking for them. I too like the rotation Tracie designed. I also like her forum a lot!

Nicole, Welcome back! Flat screen tv! Nice! Well, since you've been gone, I guess you missed my news. I have sciatic pain that's pretty bad. I've completely stopped excercising. Can you believe it? I think it's been about four days straight so far. :(

Dallas, take it easy on your foot. Sounds like you have a close relationship with your SIL. I barely talk to mine (DH sister). I have another one that lives just over an hour away and have only seen her once. My DH and his family just have their own lives and never bother w/ each other. No one called (or returns calls) for Thanksgiving, let alone a card for Christmas. Weird. I'm so close with my sisters and parents ~ actually all my family Uncles/Aunts and cousins.

Marietta, I look forward to your review on Kelly's workout. I'm really looking forward to Cathe's BodyMax2!! I feel so bad that she is injured. I bet it's driving her NUTS!

Sabrina, we have a snow day today too. We're getting A LOT more snow than predicted. Every move I make is sooooo draining, I just can't shovel. My DH had to leave early this morning for Maine. What a horrible drive I bet he's having. I called in the office saying I'm not making it.

I had my LAST dr. apt this morning and had to cancel due to the weather.

Lora-Where is the rotation that Tracie posted? I am still thinking about getting her workouts.

Dallas-I am not sure what will happen with my MIL. My DH is pretty mad at her too. Take care of your foot.

I must have missed the part where we were coming up with a new name. Have there been any ideas?

I think that means happy in french, and we are all really happy right??? I just don't want people to get that mixed up with that one movie star. I can't wait to hear about your new workouts.

Susan I feel for you!!! I had sciatica (not when I was pregnant) and I tell ya those deadlifts really helped,.............I think:) I bet you are going crazy:( Take it easy you don't have to much longer to go, and than I know you will be back to 200%;-)

Terri NA I did'nt workout when my parents were here. I just did'nt feel like it:eek: I did do DDR (dance dance revolution) with the kids if that counts?????? I am happy that Tracie posted a workout because I think this is just what I needed to get back into the groove:D I did the endurance one today, and BOY it was much HARDER this time around. I was sweating:p

Dalllas sorry to hear you are injured. I think it is smart you are taking it easy. You will be back at it in no time!

Sabrina you will get a sale :D What is going on with your mil?? I hope you all get everything worked out. It is HARD when you have family problems:( I will say a little prayer for you. Oh my that song is singing in my head now...... Ya know that one from my best friends wedding.. I am going to go get it, and that will be our theme song today:D

Diane Sue I agree with Terri you do look wonderful!! I have a question for you. What is your body type??? I am a ectomorph meaning I HAVE to work really hard to put on any muscles. Heck it took me about a year to see my triceps:7 Have fun with Tony:D

Tracie has the rotation pinned at the top of her forum. It's also posted on VF if you do a search there. I have it at home if you can't find it. It's called the 30-day challenge.

Dallas - re: the foot thing. I didn't even fracture mine with impact. I didn't know this at the time, but after thinking about this for days - I realized how I did it. I was doing KickMax and I was doing a series of side kicks. During one kick, my stabilizing leg twisted a little in my shoe and I felt a radiation of pain, but then I didn't notice it anymore during the workout. Aftewards, my foot swelling horribly and felt like it was fractured. I couldn't specifically pinpoint the exact origin of pain at first, as it was very spread out. After a couple weeks, the exact spot became more prominent. I couldn't walk on it very well. The foot doctor told me that's how most stress fracture's happen.....twisting your foot a bit in your shoe. I think Diana Sue had a similar way she got a stress fracture also.

Susan - No, I have not tried any of her products, but I'd like to. I just have been spending too much money on DVDs lately. I already take supplements from GNC and I have enough for the month. I take amino acids and I'm really curious about some of the things she has for sale.


Terri - keep me posted on the shoes. I think they are the best I've ever had....but maybe I just haven't had really good shoes before. Zappos shipped rather quickly to me.

Today I did Cardio Coach #2 treadmill, Interval Max1 intervals 1-5 then P90X Chest and Back and Ab RipperX +200 BOwflex resisted crunches. This was a good workout. Loads of pushups in all different variations. I used the Bowflex Lat Tower for Pulldowns instead of tubing. I think this is much better. Maybe someday if I feel it will help I will get the pull up bar. I worry about my door frame. Eating breakfast is difficult, but I am working it in.

Dallas, Sorry you hurt your foot. Lora is right. I did this before as well. Tried to find exercises that did not require to much pressure on my foot and no impact.

Lora, I have a new respect for yoga after doing yogaX. I really have never had much to do with it. The only part I didn't like was the ohms or whatever they are at the end. I didn't do it.

Terri and Nicole thanks for the compliments. I finding it fun doing the P90X. It is nice doing something different and I am actually coming up with some DOMS.

Nicole, it is good to see you back here. As far as body type, I am never sure. I will read those things and feel so undecided as to what I am. I seem to gain muscle pretty easy in the upper body. Lower body is another story.

Susan, you take care!! I am sorry you can't do much. Soon though huh. We could use some snow or rain or something here. It has not seemed like winter. I have bulbs that are trying to come out.

Diana Sue - Yes, I used to love to do Power Yoga, however, due to my neck injury, I'm no longer allowed to do planks or down-dog's, so I stick to the stretchy sort of yoga. I have tons of Power Yoga tapes that no longer get used! I miss it. I used to love Brian Kest's Power Yoga. You should try to find them on E-bay......cuz they're really good.
 
Diane Sue ~ Could you e-mail me with some of the way you modified your workouts? Was it with Cathe workouts? Do you think the bike would aggravate it? I'm thinking this might be a good time to do a week of SS or try out those TLTs. Do you have the Bryan Kest DVD? I really like the Power Yoga one.

Lora ~ Thanks for all the info. My foot hasn't gotten swollen at all...I hope that is a good sign. I saw your post on the TLT site about the vitamins. I think you told Susan you didn't get them yet?

Terri ~ Did you see my post yesterday about our "Big Fat Greek Family" ha ha!

Susan ~ How was the baby shower? I asked in a thread over the weekend, but you may not have seen it. It won't be much longer.

Nicole ~ Do you have a link to the rotation you're following? We have been doing the DDR as well. My kids have gotten so much better at it. I tried it and they laughed at me! :7 You have to be quick. I guess I won't be doing that for awhile anyway. :-(

Marietta ~ Did you go run at lunch? How did you like Circuit Max? i was previewing the other day while running on the treadmill. It looked fun!

Sabrina ~ I hate when there are family feuds. Hope everything will be fine soon.

Yeah nicole lets see your rotation even though I don't have the TLT's! I am always interested in what others are doing. I am still loving the SSS workouts.

I may at some point do p90x but not for awhile. Thanks for all the info Diae Sue.

I am still waiting for my shoes. I was so hoping they would come today!

Hey guys...I finally made it back!

I did go for a run during lunch. We did about 4-miles and then I added some shoulder work.

I did like the Circuit Max workout...I really didn't expect to but I did. It is definitely one that I'll hang on to. It's not my favorite, but I did enjoy it. Dallas and Terri...I think you'd both like it.

How about we change the name of our checkin to:

"Hardcore Fitness Checkin"

I know...not very original, but at least the name doesn't imply that we are doing a Hardcore rotation while it does imply that we are some Hardcore fitness people...just a thought. Still need more ideas.

Sabrina - Hi lady! Glad to see you getting some treadmill workouts in...hey...do what you gotta do! Sorry about your MIL...I don't know what the problem is, but just be who you are and hold your ground...eventually she will respect/appreciate you.

Susan - I know! I saw a clip for Kelly's workouts and I'm thinking that I'm going to like them a whole lot...can't wait!! I feel bad about Cathe being injured too...she's tough...she'll come back stronger than ever!

Dallas - Maybe taking it easy will be good medicine for you foot. Whatever you do...if it doesn't feel good don't push it. I have found that when you have a foot injury and try to work around it, you generally will suffer another injury because you over-compensate (compromise)something else. Does that make sense?


Nicole - You are funny!! Yeah...we could be the Angelina "Joilie" Checkin!! I can't wait to tell you about my new workouts...come already!!

Diane Sue - You know you da woman! I told you when I grow up I wanna be just like you!!

Terri - Bummer! You didn't get your shoes...where the heck are they?? Maybe tomorrow? Get Circuit Max..you'll like...maybe it will tide you over for a while...maybe.

Guess I'd better get off here...long night tonight...have to take my DD10 to her tumbling class. Won't get home until late...but that's how my Monday's go.
