Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Friday Oct 14

Morning Everyone,

Yay!! It's Friday! I did Slow & Heavy Shoulders followed by Coremax Premix Balanced Core. I also missed a 30 min run on my rotation this week, so I did Jillian Michaels Cardio Kickbox again this morning, as it is 30 minutes and I wanted to see how it stood on it's own without Imax first getting my heartrate up. It ended up being an okay workout. My heartrate stayed in the mid range (that's the kind of aerobics I needed today). Although if I would have wanted to get it higher, I could have with the DVD I was using. So basically, I'd say it's not as bad as I thought yesterday.

Have great workouts everyone and I'll try to check in from work today. I hope my boss doesn't come in and ruin my Friday. She does usually come in on Fridays though.
 
Hi Lora and others- Thanks for all the well wishes on my mediation yesterday. It went well and we settled. The insuruance company admitted libility so finally 2 years pt accident I will be compensated for the injuries I had/have from their drunken driver. I am so happy it is over. It was exhaustinf so I would up having a rest day as afterwards I went out with friends to celebrate. Tonight I will go out with my son and his gf and a few others for dinner. Anyway yesterday wa a rest day! If you call that rest :) So no rest day this weekend as you all know I am not big on rest days. But see marietta, I took one! :)Today I am going to run and do chest and back and bi's and tri's and some ab work. Lora-I am still not sure on illians dvd's. If the ever show up at target I may buy one and try it.

I think I am going to take my youngest and go shopping. We have to drive about 50 minutes to get to the mall but at least it will be something to do today. I also need to pick up a binder for my Cathe cookbook that Shelley has so wonderfully done. :)

Good Morning!

This morning I did BodyMax. I did the Warmup, Step, and Circuit portions. Didn't do the upper body because I did upper body work yesterday. Hadn't done that one in a while and it was a good workout.

Lora - Hope you boss doesn't ruin your day!

Terri - Congratutions!! First, for your settlement and secondly for taking a rest day!! Have a great workout.

Happy Friday!!

Today I did IMAX2 and L&G standing. Since my husband won't be home until Saturday or Sunday..who knows, I'll walk on my treadmill for a little while after I get my son on the school bus.
Friday's I'm not in the office so I usually run errands and there really isn’t much that has to be done today.

Sabrina, I saw the Cathe cookbook. I will probably just print out the recipes I like and not the whole thing.

Lora, how's the new house sale going?

Terri, glad everything went well yesterday. Enjoy your dinner tonight with your family and friends.

Marietta, I like BM too. Usually when I do that w/o, I do the upper body section on a separate day too. How was volleyball?

Hi to all that follow. I have a Family night at the YMCA tonight. My son wants to quit bowling (that is late this afternoon). I can’t blame him. It's not fun or even that social (it's torture for me too).

Morning Ladies!

It's been busy here. It's my dh's last day off and he's decided to get some projects done. Somehow I got involved too. I did manage to get 5 loads of laundry done already! Yeah! I usually don't have time on the weekend for laundry, so I try to have all the baskets emptied by Fri. afternoon.

Today I did yesterday's work out and added the weights from tomorrow's work out:

LM w/u and blasts only
GS -triceps
GS -shoulders
MM -legs (Always feel the burn on that "little" premix.)
MM-abs/core and stretch

Tomorrow I just want to concentrate on cardio which will be a combo of KM and KPC. MY upper back has some DOMS from yesterday's class. I can't wait to see what Cathe puts together for a cardio bag class.

Sabrina ~ Is your dh home yet from AZ?

Lora ~ So how does the Jillian kb work out compare to Cathe's? I know that you said it's only 30 minutes, but what about intensity?

Nicole ~ You asked yesterday if my neighbor does Cathe. The one that was in the class doesn't, but I've tried to get her hooked!:D

Marietta ~ I can't wait for BM2! Did you preorder too?

Susan ~ Do they use the bumpers in bowling? That would make it a little better for him. Have fun at the family night.

Diane Sue ~ Hope that cold is a thing of the past!

Tonight dh and I are going out with a bunch of couples to watch the Sox game. Tomorrow is busy - two soccer games and two b-day parties!

I had my granddaughter here sick today so did not get to the grocery store as planned. I guess I will go work on painting and maybe go this evening or tomorrow. My cold is still trying to hang on.

Hi Everyone -

Dallas - Her intensity is not as high as Cathe's in this workout. My heart rate stayed low to midrange for me (140's) but if I'd have pushed a little harder, I probably could have got it up a little more. The workout is mainly jumping jacks, kicks, punches (but no combos), fast feet (football run). I was surprised to hear how winded Jillian sounded from the workout....although I was modifying some of the higher impact on the rebounder. I do that with Cathe's Imax's and never have a problem getting my heartrate up to 160. I really didn't like this DVD as much as I liked the circuit workouts she has. She was a bit annoying this morning (but it's TTOTM). It drove me crazy cuz she stopped to explain something or chat and if I stopped, my HR would fall. Anyway, it's okay for a mindless workout when you don't feel like putting complex combo's together.

Diana Sue - Sorry to hear that you are still under the weather.

Susan - Our house just actually had the for sale sign put up yesterday, as the floor was just installed in the kitchen. The Home's Guide came out this morning. Hopefully we'll get action soon. I hope so, as my hubby has already called the Courthouse about a house down the street to find out when it's being auctioned off at the Courthouse. Opening bid is $100,000. I don't know what my husband is thinking.....but the fact is that the wheels are spinning already and we don't even have this first one unloaded! LOL! He's pretty motivated when he gets something in his head. You know the saying "Where there's will, there's a way". LOL!

Lora I am with you!!:D I am so happy it is FRIDAY!! Well today I stayed in bed longer than usual fighting with my inner self IF I should get up early or sleep another hour????? Well I got myself out of bed and ended up doing Lowmax 1st premix 45 min.:7 Tonight I plan on doing legs of my JV dvd.


Lora I will have to check out that VF review. I see reviewers on VF. feel the same way you do about the Jillian workouts. To bad she did not make them at least 45 min????

Sabrina I just got back home from shopping, but NOT the kind I enjoy.......:-(..........grocery.... I know you feel the same way. Hope you find the good deals :)

I'm back!!!

I went for a 5+ mile run at lunch today. I could have went out to eat BBQ, but I decided to run instead...it was great, the weather is gorgeous here.

Sabrina - Have fun shopping and don't spend too much!! I'll have to check out that cookbook even though I really don't like to cook all that much...

Susan - You never cease to amaze me with the workouts you do...you go girl!!! I actually had fun playing volleyball yesterday and I think I will do it more often, but it will definitely be on a rest day because it definitely is not a workout. I have a love/hate relationship w/bowling...I can't just watch, I have to bowl or I get bored to death.

Dallas - Well HELLO busy lady!! You wear me out just by me reading your posts!!

Diane Sue - Darn the stubborn cold of yours...hope it goes away soon.

Nicole - I know the feeling about not being able to get up sometimes...happens to all of us. What is JV dvd?

I thought I'd check back again.
My DH is on his way home now. It's been raining pretty hard south of here so the project he was going to do with his brother got rained out. I'm kind of glad.

Yup, he's quitting bowling! No, they don't use bumpers. It's also right at dinner time 4:15 to 6:45, so everyone is crabby, tired and hungry. Oh and Marietta, if you don't like to watch bowling, you should just once watch five year olds.... x(

I'll have my two nephews(8,6) and niece(4) tomorrow all day. I said I'd watch them while my sister and husband help cater a wedding. She said she'll pick them up at 12:30 IN THE MORNING!! We'll all be asleep for sure. She ought to just leave them, I said.

Baby is real active right now, in a way it weirds me out, something out of aliens. hahahaha Just kidding, but I am getting more excited.

Tomorrow is HSTA! :D :D

Dallas, it's interesting to hear about the boxing class. I won't be able to put a bag in my workout room when Cathe makes her DVD. With the vaulted ceiling and leg press on one side and dumbbells on the other, there just isn't the room.

Diane Sue, sorry your cold won't go away. That stinks.

Hey Everyone,

I know I complained about my job, but I was in a hospital and had a decent one...........but I just lost my job. My last day is supposed to be 2 weeks from today. I meet with Human Resources on Tuesday. I'm devastated! I just went thru this a year and a half ago and then a few years before that, and then 6 years before that! I don't know if I'm going to be okay right now. I'm really upset. I think I'm calling off sick on Monday and I'll go to Human Resources on Tuesday. I don't even know if I can finish my 2 weeks. This is such bull. My manager chose to downsize me. She says she had nothing to do with it, but that's a bunch of crap. I know she could have cut anyone in the dept she wanted to. She figured she'd get rid of me cuz of how the educators hated me.

I hope this makes sense.....I'm not thinking very clearly at the moment.
 
Hi Lora~

I am so sorry to hear about your job. That totally sucks. Especially after just putting your house on the market. My heart goes out to you. I know (from reading your posts) that your job (and colleagues) were challenging to say the least but still, there's security in knowing you at least have a job. My heart is pounding for you...I totally empathize with you. (Years back, I was "laid off" the same week we closed on our very first house! It was terrifying.) I hope and pray everything works out for you. I'm thinking of you. Hang in there.
