Morning Ladies -
Happy Friday the 13th to everyone! This morning I did TLT Endurance for Movement. I liked this one the least because it had so much I couldn't do. I had to modify quite a bit and it took away from the workout. They do a lot of plank work and a lot of pushups sliding the paperplate with your hands and then mountain climbers in plank position sliding the paperplates with your feet. I'm not allowed to do any of that. It was hard to find modifications to fit. I tried doing the pushups on the wall and sliding my hand out and then I did some chest flyes. I ran in place when they did the mountain climbers. (I also feel stupid that I have to do pushups on the wall because of my injury cuz I've seen people on exercise forums make fun of pushups on the wall - that's the way they teach you in Physical Therapy and for injured people - it's not that I can't do them on the floor....but when I do, I get severe spasms in my upper back).
I'm a bit bummed cuz I went over everything I'm currently not doing (in my exercise program) with the doctor the other day when I was there for my neck/shoulder and she said I'll probably never be able to do pushups again or lift my arms higher than shoulder heigth due to my injury. She suggested I use Nautilus equipment. She said that free weights are hard on people with injuries like me. Also, I'm going to get a set of Trigger Point blocks/injections for my neck and shoulders at my next appt. She said I have quite a few severe trigger points.
Have great workouts everyone and I'll try to check back later, although it's Pay Day (hectic in my dept) at work and I'll be busy all day.
