Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I have everything all prepared and ready to start cooking. My mom will bring the turkey all cooked. I do the ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes and green beans. Sis brings pies. MIL will bring a pie too. Oh - and we did this gift card thing at Texas Roadhouse so we got frozen rolls from them yesterday so we'll do those as well. Mom will bring stuffing and gravy too.

I'm off to do legs and CC#4. Had a "drink" last night that DH made me. I'm a little angry with him b/c he put more than a shot in it. He knows I'm a huge lightweight and I don't drink that much b/c I get migraines. I was pretty buzzed to say the least. Woke up with a headache - not a migraine though and I swear I still felt buzzed. I really hate that. He's on my list. The drink was good though - gin, gatorade and strawberry fizzy water. But I don't want another one for a looooooong time!

Happy Thanksgiving, Maniacs!!!

Got on elliptical this morning, but only stayed on for 30 mins and burned 250 cals. I have blisters on my toes from the 90 mins I was on the other day..usually can still keep going anyhow, but pretty good blisters this time. Oh, my. Anyhow had intense ab workout..hoping that adds to the calorie burn.

Lol about your drink Suz, although I agree, headaches and alcohol-induced-feeling-crappy aren't fun. I'm a lightweight, too...1.5-2 drinks is pretty much my max. Sounds like you have lots of yummy food planned! I'm heading to bf's fairly soon, although I need to tidy up a bit here first.

Not much time for a workout. I just did Ravi and Ana's A.M. Yoga, which isn't long especially as I leave off the prayer for prosperity or whatever and just start with the warmpus.
 
My workout is done and I talked to DH for awhile. I started my workout on the treadmill and went 7 miles. I did not go hard at it so burned 712 calories. Treadmill said 1200 calories

Then I did Kettlebell Goddess abs using a 15 lb kettlebell, Tracey Staehle's Core blast starting at the medicine ball segment, and 100 calf raises with a 25# kettlebell, I finished with 10 minute solution Amy Bento Bootcamp stretch. Total calories burned according to my hr monitor was 1058. I really felt that it was off but did the Own Zone two times. I guess I don't need to worry about this cold that I am coming down with being pneumonia. DH is giving me a hard time about working out but I feel fine



Suz, sorry your dh gave you more than you expected. Hopefully you get past it and your day is great. I usually enjoy the cooking but am just doing sweet potatoes which I baked earlier today and a fruit salad. Getting ready to leave soon. Fruit salad is ready and in the refrigerator as well. My dd does the green bean casserole. My son designated most of the stuff that he does not like to someone else to cook LOL


Charlotte, it sounds like you need different shoes. At least you got in a great ab workout.


Hermia, yoga is good on a day like today. I think I could uses some of ana and ravis today. Although I don't use their dvd too often the back pain and a couple other combos are good.

Happy Thanksgiving! This morning I finally did Ripped 1000, I then did Eoin Fins yoga 4 happiness quickie. I already made my sweet potatoes, so I just need to through them in the oven. I took my fruit salad and pies over to Moms already. She doing the Turkey and my dh will do the gravy since he makes the best gravy ever.:) Then there will be tons of other food that various people will bring. I'm sure we won't come home hungry.

Suz-Hermia- Oh you little light weights you! Embarrassingly enough, I'm the type that can drink right along with the boys, so I have to watch myself and try to stay clear of the evil stuff.:eek:

:)Debbie- Your rotation looks really good! I'll have to think about it and may join you. Desisions decisions.

Diane Sue- Looks like we were in charge of the same foods today. Sweet potatoes and fruit salad.:cool:

Finally getting around to posting my workout. MIL called and was on her way EARLY!!! So I didn't get a chance to do my cardio. :mad: Oh well. I'm sure it won't kill me.

Lying Leg Curls

Romanian Deadlifts
Barbell - 85# 15r x 2 Dumbells 80# 15r x 1
I switched b/c my lower back started to bug me just a bit toward the end

Bulgarian Split Squats
50# 15r x 3
I had to switch legs back and forth without a rest in between b/c MIL called as I was doing my deads and told DH she was going to be on her way from Colorado shortly! My legs were shaking by the end!

That was it!

Charlotte - Bummer about your blisters. But 30 mins is better than no mins! And I'm sure that ab workout burned lots of calories!

Hermia - You and I would have a great time drinking together! :p Hope you have fun at your BF's house.

Diane Sue - Nice workout! I can't believe you're getting sick again! A gal I work with said that she can fight off the big people germs but it's the little kid ones that get her. It must be being around your grandkids all the time. It's nice that you got to talk to Bill today. DH felt bad about the drink. He showed me how much more he put in the shot glass. It was really minimal. But I told him that at my weight and given the fact that I'm such a lightweight anyway even a minimal amount makes a big difference. He agreed and he felt really bad. Lifting really helped me feel better.

Dallys - Why does it not surprise me that you can keep up with the guys! You're one tough cookie! :)

Back form dinner. As usual I am stuffed. Although I did not eat near as much as I usually do. I had three slivers of pie so I could try the chocolate, apple, and pecan. Missed the pumpkin one. Just no room LOL
I am sore this evening. I think I pulled the side of my knee doing the turkish get up this morning:( I sure hope it feels better tomorrow. I think I like Amy Bentos modified turkish get up better than going from floor to standing position.

Suz, I like your new pictures. You and your Mitch are a good looking couple. Your arms are looking good. I can tell you have been working hard. You probably didn't really need the cardio anyway:) You got in a good workout. I am glad the workout made you feel better.

Dallys, it is kind of nice to not have to do a lot of cooking for a change:)
 
Diane Sue - Glad you had a nice dinner. I ate more than usual! I hope your knee is better tomorrow. I'm going to get up and work out and then my friends are stopping by to pick me up sometime in the morning (they're going to call in the morning) and I'm going to just go ahead and ride with them out to their place and stay the night and Saturday. She said they're going to stay late on Saturday too. It will end up being a loooong weekend since we're having company on Sunday so I can't sleep through the Bronco game, but since I haven't seen her in so long it will be fun. I'm such an "early to bed" kind of person I hope I can stay awake tomorrow night! I'll have to skip my cardio on Saturday and do it Sunday instead.

I better go pack a bag and get to bed!
