Hardcore Hottie Maniacs for 9/4

This morning was shoulders and I did well. I like this day because it's a short workout and I can add a bit of cardio in as well.

1:30 minutes rest between each set and exercise.

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Overhead Press:
27's - 6/6/6 (up 2#)
25's - 10 (up 3#)
22's - 12/12 (up 2#)

Barbell Upright Rows:
62# - 6/6 (up 2#)
60# - 10 (up 5#)
55# - 12/12 (up 5#)

Bent Over Lateral Raise:
20's - 12/12 (up 5#)

Nothing too exciting. Kind of a boring workout but I sure felt it.

Cardio stats: (boring steady state)
30 minutes
25 minutes in zone
154 calories burned (LOL!)
1.5 miles travelled

That is all...

Morning Mnaics,

This morning I once again attempted Amy's ASC III, this time doing it straight thru to combo 5. It was 65 minutes and I had some problems catching on to combo 2 and struggled a bit on 4, even though I did that one the other day. I think a couple more run through and I should have it. I haven't even viewed the power up section yet!

Hey, I had no idea that you used your triceps playing the piano. I have some major DOMS in my tris from Monday and when I played the piano last night it was down right painful. I almost had to quit!

Debbie - Nice Shoulder work!

Morning!
Did cardio circuit at the gym this morning. 4 more days to go of boring workout and I get to do nice hardcore running OUTSIDE! Can't WAIT. I can work on speed and distance more than ONCE a week. Treadmills really bore the sh*t out of me. God bless you all for doing more than 2 miles on the treadmill.

Debbie- Excellent workout! Are you noticing any difference in your body with this rotation yet?

Linda- I didn't know you play the piano. I've always wanted to learn. Speaking of piano, have you ever seen the movie with Geoffrey Rush in it called Shine?

To everyone else, have a great hardcore day!

I don't know I can barely walk from yesterdays legs.. not sure im going to be making it to skating tonight... anyone know of any cardio that requires minumum leg and BUTT work?? hehe ;)

Afternoon,:D

No workout for me this morning, when the alarm clock went off I could NOT move, really, I laid there until time to get up for work. Any who, tonight I’m going to straighten up my apartment a bit and then I’m taking it too the street :eek:for a nice walk. I need to get my mind right:rolleyes:

Debbie: That’s awesome! did you get the copies of RHC that I emailed too you? I been really thinking about doing this rotation, eye balling it now:D Nice workout!

ADD-ON
Debbie: I don’t have much equipment, on leg day, what’d be a good substitute for leg curls and leg Extension?

Hi Teddygirl! Yes, I got them but couldn't download them. They were way big and I have dial up. I hope you didn't go to too much trouble doing all that.

For Leg curls you can sub stiff legged dead lifts. Not sure about leg extensions. Maybe sissy squats? Those hit the quads pretty hard.

Hi Maniacs,

Dr. Hottie said I have stress fracture, once I can wear a shoe, no impact for about 6-12 weeks. Looks like I'm not running the Komen this year, not doing Amy's ASCIII for awhile and likely will be stuck on my elliptical and stairmaster for a couple months. Hopefully that will force me to drop some pounds, 10 would be cool.

Debbie, LOL...car test. great job on the 2%, .

Teddygirl, welcolme back woman! can you send me that rotation Debbie's doing, I'll PM you my e-mail?

Char, my mom used to drink mint tea with a bit of raw ginger for the tummy problems associated with radiation.

I didn't see Miss Dallys slim series Mom to Rob around, maybe I just missed her.

Linda, I keep saying I need to sit down at my piano, I bet it's been 8 years since I've touched it, good stress buster.

Pebbles...is that a hamster in your avatar?

Back to work..
Amber

This has been a crazy morning. I did not get to do the lower body workout that I had planned so will do it tomorrow or a total bady workout.
I started out with Sharon Twombly's Athletic Step Jam stopping at the bonus ball workout. Burned 578 calories and workout with stretch was 1 hr 12 minutes. Had to take the girls to their schools. One was not feeling real well and kept telling me and her mother that she was fine to go to school. She seems to have a cold. Temp was barely 99. Anyway I was almost home after driving 18 miles there and back and they call to have me pick her up so I turned around and went back. Then the baby was really cranky because normally I give her her cereal and bottle as soon as I get back. Anyway all I did when I returned was the abs from Athletic Step Jam twice and the 2 minutes post ab stretch. I have to go back and pick up the other children after school then kill some time, so may make a quick grocery run in between since one granddaughter has cheer practice after school and it is just to far to drive all of the way home and back.

Debbie, that is great that the workout change is getting results:) Nice workout.

Linda, the power up segments of Step Challenge III is not to bad. Just be ready to leap over the bench and there are turns:) It is pretty short. I think only 4 minutes. Combo 2 throws me off everytime but am getting it. I have only done the entire workout two times and the power ups once so far.

No that's my fat kitty lying on his back lol.. I bought a small electric heater for my bedroom (to the left) and he just loooooves it :)

Lisa - I've been taking lessons for I a year and I love it! Especially since I am not taking traditional piano, in this program they teach you to play first then read music later. So you are playing songs from the start and I currently have about 40 songs I can play.

Amber
- You should get back to the piano. It is very relaxing, that is unless you are trying to play with major DOMS! :p

DianeSue - I think Conbo 2 is the hardest so far. As far the power up go I can't keep up with Amy in ASC one when she jumps over with both feet (feel like I am going to land on the step), so I back up a pretend to jump over the step. So I may be in trouble with the new one. I asked the other day if you had gotten Rumble?

***EDITED: I forgot M5. Duh. I know I shouldn't be eating these things but they fit in well with my macros and calories plus I like them. I actually look forward to eating them and that hasn't happened in a while. So I'm eating them when I can dammit!

Linda, I remember you asking about Rumble. I thought I posted back. Maybe you missed it. I do have it. I have only done it one time so far and did not do the second heavy bag segment. I like it pretty well. It was my rest day and I just wanted to try it out so I did not wear my hr monitor or my weighted gloves. Next time I will wear the gloves., Even without the gloves I worked up a good sweat. It is really pretty much low impact. There are some jump kicks. You do it more mike you have an opponent. Really when I first previewed I was not sure about it but once I did it I thought it was good. I will probably tackle it again this weekend.
Also, not sure if it was me and how I hit the heavy bag with the inside of my leg or because I tend to bruise easy but my right leg had some bruising when I was done. Maybe I need some padding:0 I have to pay close attention next time.

Debbie, doesn't Naturally More Peanut Butter have flax in it??

Hi Teddygirl! Yes, I got them but couldn't download them. They were way big and I have dial up. I hope you didn't go to too much trouble doing all that.

Debbie: Do you mean you can't open them. You can send as an attachment. I don't understand not being able to download em. No trouble at all.

Amber: You who:D I Pm'd you back with rotation.

Debbie: Do you mean you can't open them. You can send as an attachment. I don't understand not being able to download em. No trouble at all.

I can open them and download them but it says it will take over 2 hours to download. That's about right on dial up. I haven't had that kind of time to stay online at home. I still have the files and will get them downloaded when I have time, though. I just feel bad that you went through all that trouble. I really don't mind making copies for anyone who wants this rotation.

Debbie: Open up the email that I sent too you with info. Then open one doc at a time when its open just save to your F drive, this way you don't have to make copies or down download alls you've to do is attach to email and sent.

Well all this eating and carbs is making me feel a little guilty.. so I did 10, 30 second intervals of jumping rope.. followed by ab's..
LJ's on Ball X 3
Leg Lifts X 3
Pikes on Ball X 3

Hello! I didn't work out yesterday (made me sad) but today I went to visit my friends and we did stairs, both of us with a new personal best. Last time I was sore for two days afterwards, so probably for both my new friday and saturday class, i'll be hobbling in...hope my students don't notice! the stairs are a nice change of pace, and I swear, today must have been National Hot Man Workout Day or something, cuz damn, there were *numerous* fine specimens of the male of the species...quite nice.
