Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Sat Nov 3......................

Oh - I should mention that this gorgeous top was made by Kathryn from Toledo, OH. She is a moderator on the Stitcher's Guild forums. I was trying to link to her, but I don't think she has a blog - or at least I'm not smart enough to find it. :) She is AMAZING! She makes the most gorgeous clothing and other great things. I think she knits too. I wish I was half as talented as she is! You can check out some of her other projects here:

Charlotte, I bet you did hat dying your dd's hair. You know it will probably fade fairly quickly. I tried different haircolors over the years too. I have tried red several times. Black, dark brown. I always end up back to my original blonde. When I want some extra color I have found lately that I can add some red or gold to my hair with mineral powder and some hairspray or other styling aid to make it stick. It is hard to find a color that you can add to blonde hair and have it show up.

Suz, that is such a cute top. Finding the right silk fabric would be difficult. I used to make curtains for window shutters and had someone send me silk they bought in India. Was not easy to do and make it fit tight in the shutters. I am the same way with color. I love color and it seems so many things come in basic black. I am probably the odd ball a lot. I have been working on crocheting a baby sweater. Finished the body. Now I get to crochet in the sleeves and make the butterflies:)

Lora, where are you today??? Are you working. I cannot imagine that you did not work out.

Diane Sue - Just got home. I worked the closing shift last night and had to be at work for the 6:30 am meeting and shift ........so I only got 3 hours of sleep and worked 8 hours today. We went to a movie after work, but I slept thru it! Darn. My DH said it was good too. I actually didn't have time to work out this morning or check in. I'm really out of whack from this job and I really don't like it. I work tomorrow, but not till later in the afternoon. I want to Hi/Lo Dome and was wondering if you think it would be okay to do the weight section on this and then do another weighted workout on Monday (either a cardio/weight circuit Monday or Slo Mo Total Body Premix). What do you think? It wouldn't be too much, would it? I got really sore from Slo Mo. I'm very impressed at how unique the moves were.

Hi Maniacs...........I see nobody even missed me today, except for Diane Sue!!! Geez! }(

Diane Sue - This woman at work died her hair red and it is fading all over the place. It looks so awful. I feel bad for her. I have no idea what her natural color is - maybe some kind of brown. I hear that red hair fades so bad. I don't know why mine does so well. People are always shocked when I tell them I dye my hair. They think I'm a natural redhead. Maybe b/c I have naturally curly hair it takes the color better? I'm just really thankful.

The gal who made that top said she got the fabric at Hancock Fabrics. Who knows how long ago. Some people have fabric in their stash forever. We used to have a Hancock's but it closed down a couple of years ago. :( The nearest one is about an hour south of here in Colorado. I imagine it might be hard to work with too. For me anyway.

Your sweater sounds fun. You should post a picture when you're finished. I'd love to see it!

I'm sure Lora worked out today too. She probably just didn't have time to post since she had to work all day. I think she had to be there at 7.

Oh, I called that one wrong Lora! Good for you - finally a forced day off from working out. Of course you were missed. But I knew you were working early. I knew we'd hear from you before the day was over so I wasn't worried. :)

When is your other interview?

Lora, it sounds like you have been busy. Just so used to you checking in early. You will learn how to work around the hours. Sorry you slept through the movie. Good thing you don't work till in the afternoon. I think it would be fine to do another wieght workout Sunday. Hi/Lo dome uses the woody bag for a lot of the moves and is only 7.5 # I used an 8# dumbbell through most of it. You will have some elevated hr here too. I am really looking forward to Slo Mo next week.

Suz, I buy aa lot of my fabric from Hancocks. It may not be that old. I have plans for a hat and booties with this sweater. Just sewed the shoulders and am getting ready to start adding the sleeves. I bought ribbon for the bows in the centers of the butterflies. Also buttons but decided to leave those out as a hazard. Will have to see if I can figure out how to post it. DH posts most pictures for me. We need to get a new camera. I think Bill would want it though. LOL I found it was important for both of us having cameras to send pictures back and forth. The Nikon is really getting outdated. I have used that for so long. Lighting is everything with that camera.

Diane Sue - It all sounds so cute! Good call on the buttons. I wouldn't have thought of that. Yeah, the guys are usually up for new cameras. Well, the guys and Dallys. I think that's what she's been so busy with is her photography class. I hope you/Bill find a way to post the pics.
