Hardcore Fitness Maniacs October 2025!

Wow, October already. I love fall so I'm excited. We have had the BEST September weather ever. It has been simply beautiful every day in September. I hope October is the same. This morning I did RAW Intervals 4 and had a great workout. This is a fun workout but almost too high impact for me now. My knees did not like some of the moves so I modified.

This workout has 30 second intervals, used the step with one set of risers, 8 and 12# dumbbells. No boxing in this workout whatsoever.

Split/Squat Jacks
Power Curls:
12's
Repeat

Pendulums
Deadlift/Upright Rows
: 12's
Repeat

Icky Feet (love these)
Back Lunge w/One Arm Overhead Press
: 12#
Repeat other side

Lunge Cardio off Step
Side Lunge/Curls
: 12's
Repeat

Squat Touch Downs
Plank Rows
: 12's (I just did standing rows)
Repeat

Heel Crossovers
Jacks/Skates

Repeat

REPEAT ALL - but she cuts back on lifting moves, only does them once and skips the Heel Crossovers and Jacks/Skates

Skull Crushers/Situps: 12#
Chest Flyes w/Leg Raise: 12's
Repeat

Workout was 44 minutes, burned 272 calories, did 2370 steps and HR was 120/148.

Roselyn - Praying for you husband and your mother-in-law. That is tough.

Belinda - I'm sorry you have to go back to the infusions, that must be very frustrating for you. Where are you having the ultra sound on? Your neck? I hope they can find out what is causing your pain.

Have a great day everyone!!

Thank you my MIL took another bad decline today just say some prayers for my husband Rick. He’s an only child and his parents have been divorced since he’s been an infant so she’s been his constant Parent his dad was a good dad. He just lived in St. Louis and Rick grew up in Omaha so that was the distance so he could use some prayers right now. He’s with her now.

I did get a Glute hamstring workout in today

jolie hope things are good with your mom sending prayers

I did not get a workout in Tuesday. Yesterday I did CDorner 80's aerobics workout, 42 minutes, 292 calories, heart rate 138/161. I forgot to check the steps. I also did a stretch workout for 13 minutes, 33 calories. Total time 55 minutes, 325 minutes. I like the cardio workout that I did today, except there is 3 youtube stops for abs.

Jolie, I am so sorry that happened to your mother. I will be praying for her.

Roselyn, sending prayers for your husband and his mother.

Debbie, nice work on Raw Intervals #4. I remember that one. I think I would have just did the skates and skipped the jacks.

Belinda, nice work on CL #563 In and Out Lower Body and the Gentle Pilates Seated Hips and Legs. I bet you are looking forward to going to Germany. Sorry you are having problems. I hope the ultrasound is helpful.
I got my x-rays info online today. No new fractures. It ends up being a mild scoliosis in the thoracic spine and osteoporosis with changes from the kyphoplasty. My doctor told me I could take 1 tablet in the morning and two together another time if I wanted. I tried that and decided I would just follow the label and spread them out to 3 times a day. I read online that this med should not be taken with dairy. Nothing on the bottle says it though, and my doctor did not say anything. He just said make sure I take it with food. I use yogurt to get part of my calcium from food.

This morning I did two kickboxing workout (wish I wanted to do other cardio than kickboxing/boxing workouts) and I did RAW Kickboxing #8 which was pretty fun and then did some of RAW Kickbox NRG. That one is a fun one, should have done that one first and then the other second.

Anyways, workout was 45 minutes, burned 396 calories, did 4117 steps an HR was 144/178.

I really need to start doing some other cardio workouts. I just hate jumping workouts and most of Kelly's cardio is jumping workouts. I like the Cardio Crush ones but in the morning I just don't feel like doing them. I should start using my Max Trainer again, but that thing is just so hard. I really should get used to it again and use it like I used to. Such a waste of money just sitting in the corner.

Belinda - Nice workout yesterday. Seems nothing can stop you! I admire that about you, you just keep going and it's amazing! I hope you have an amazing time in Germany with your kids when you go! How exciting!

Roselyn - So sorry to hear that. I am praying for your family, especially your DH and his mom. Nice job getting a workout in.

Diane - I really hate when workouts stop for ads, that is just not right. I see them quite infrequently on Kelly's workouts. I think the ones that are for the free workouts for the public have the ads in them. The ones that are members only do not. I'm not liking high intensity at all anymore. My knees especially do not like them. Today's workouts were a bit higher in intensity but not too bad. I know I can modify but sometimes I just feel cheated if I do that. Stupid, I know. I'm glad you didn't have any fractures but how frustrating to be going through all of this. It makes me mad to read what you and Belinda are going through - you two are so active and healthy, it just doesn't seem fair. I pray for you two all the time in hopes that all of this can right itself. I hope you find some relief soon.

Jolie - Thinking of you and your mom. Hope all is going ok.

Have a great day everyone!

My mother-in-law passed away last night. We had been up there a lot during the day and I told my husband I had a feeling he should just maybe stay all night well he went up after dinner and came home about seven He said she’s resting and falling asleep so he got settled here and they called him at 7:54 and said she was slipping away and we got there in time and we were there about 10 minutes and she passed away at 8:20 while he held her hand luckily we live five minutes from where she was,his parents had been divorced since he been an infant so she was his constant parent ,so I’m just happy she went peaceful. Just kind of drifted off. Thank you for the prayers.

Today I did Lift Move and Restore Barre Fusion, 45 minutes, 161 calories, heart rate 97/140. I followed with Jessica Valient youtube, scoliosis workout, 20 minutes, 45 calories. I liked her. She has PT background. I saw she has some weight workouts. I am going to go back and check out some other workouts. Total time was 65 minutes, 206 calories. My dog decided to join me and it was so much fun trying to stand on a balance disc with a band on and dog trying to stick his head between my legs, and slobber all over me with the abs:rolleyes: Sometimes he just lays there and watches me.

Roselyn, I am praying for you and your husband. I am glad you were able to be there with your mother-in-law.

Debbie, good job on Raw Kickboxing #8 and Kickbox NRG. It sure seems like youtube is putting more ads on the videos. I guess to push people to pay or something. I watch dog training videos and it seems there are more and more ads. It is quite annoying. I just keep moving. I try to use different types of cardio workouts. Too much step and knees hurt, kickbox has a lot of twists and sudden movement. I love doing them though. Floor cardio is fun as long as it is not a bunch of drills. I really do not like drills pr stuff that has me down on the floor. I do high knee pulls instead of mountain climbers and find something else for squat thrusts. I get it though, as I would generally add in a few jacks with low jacks if the instructor was doing all out jacks. I used to go all out on everything. It does get discouraging. I would like the doctors to find something that gets these things under control. Maybe I am asking too much.

This morning I didn't feel like doing anything. I actually thought about getting on my Max Trainer last night when I was thinking of what I should do and then got up this morning and said NOPE!!

So I walked on my treadmill for a bit. I really need to get back on that MT and get used to it again. I was really kicking ass on it when I first got it.

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 296 calories, went 2.2 miles, did 5231 steps and HR was 121/165.

Roselyn - I am so sorry to hear about your MIL. At least she went peacefully. I pray that happens with my mom. I just want her to fall asleep and not wake up when her time comes. Still doesn't make it any easier, though. I am praying for your family through this difficult time.

Diane - Nice job with your workout. LMAO about your dog. They are something, aren't they? My cat will just show up right under my feet while I'm boxing and I almost step on him. Can they not see what we are doing? LOL!! I agree, YT is getting ridiculous with the ads. I was watching a 17 minute video on how to make homemade soap and there were literally 4 commercial breaks during that short amount of time. I was pissed. I agree about workouts. High intensity just isn't my thing anymore, that's why I'd like to start using my MT again. Maybe next week I will try it again. I gotta get past the fear factor, but that damn thing is HARD!!! You are not asking to much. By now they should have something to help with pain like that. My cousin is going through the same thing. It is frustrating!

Jolie - I hope everything with your mom is going better. Give us an update when you have a minute. Praying for her.

Take care everyone and have a great weekend!!

Today I did CDorner Step #214 no breakdown that I keep in my watch later workouts. I like the music and it is short at 27 minutes, 154 calories, heart rate 117/152. That started out really low till I realized my watch was still on tight to get my pulse ox at night. I usually have to loosen two notches. I followed with Jessica Valent scoliosis, upper back workouts, 32 minutes, 81 calories. There was some back work with tubing. Most of her free workouts are fairly short with longer ones suggested (pay). I looked at her arm workout, but she started right off with overhead presses.

Debbie, nice job on Treadmill work. I keep thinking I should use the spin bike more. At least on a treadmill I could read unless I was trying to do a hard run. Sometimes I wish I did not get rid of mine. We got the treadclimber which is a lot of work. I can only max out at short bursts at 4 mph. It is hard climbing and the tension on it. My husband uses it more than I do. My daughter was not happy about my med. She said they have new stuff that works and they keep giving me old meds. She has a lot of elderly patients that are on better meds and happy with them.

Hi,

I am still here. Yesterday was walk outside. Today was a walk outside plus Pilates on the foam roller. I really liked the foam roller exercises.

Roselyn - praying for you and your husband. I am glad to hear she went peacefully.

Debbie - aww….thank you for your kind words. Means a lot to me. I like to feel as normal as I can. I was born and raised in Nuernberg Germany. Both my kids grew up in Germany. My son and DIL visit last year, she loved it. This time DD is bringing her fiancée. I hope he likes it too. We will go during the famou Christmas market in Nuernberg. . I have not been to one since we moved to the US. DH and I plan on staying a little longer, so we can spend more time with my family in Germany.

Diane - we spend 4 hours on the phone with the airlines. We will leave next month. I am from Germany, it will be nice to visit family and enjoy my time with my DS & DIL, DD and her fiance. DIL went last year she loved it so much she wanted to visit again. Every year instead of giving gifts, we decided each year we will go on a vacation together. We had so much fun last year in Fl. Are you feeling any better?

Good night.
