Hardcore Fitness Maniacs July 2025

Saturday, I did LITE Cardio Party, 39 minutes, 250 calories, heart rate 137/166, 4,145 steps and CDorner Move to Improve, Full Body Chair Stretch, 23 minutes, 37 calories.
Today I did CDorner, Feel Good Cardio with weights that was just a small section near the end, 32 minutes, 215 calories, heart rate 137/167, 3,531 steps.
No workout Sunday. It was family day and celebrating a birthday. Also, we got the news that another granddaughter is going to have a baby. My second great grandchild due in December:) This was a surprise as they were working on adopting through foster child as my granddaughter had a procedure done on an artery that could cause her complications. Anyway, she could use prayers. They are happy and were really wanting a child.
I am not sure if I will do anything the next two days as I have a dental appointment tomorrow morning and the Pet scan and cardiologist appointment Wednesday morning.

Belinda, nice work on yesterday's JS TB Circuit 5 plus 30 minutes of flexibity. I always react to stuff. Even vitamins and supplements. I always start with a smaller dose to see how I am going to react. 3 MRI scans at once is a lot. It took a long time when I had the one several years ago on my neck and shoulder. That one was painful because they put my problem areas in positions that hurt to get the pictures. I never had one hurt before. I did read that the Pet Scan has me hold my arms overhead while getting the scan which sounds like something that is not going to feel good.

Hi everyone, sorry I didn't check in yesterday, I went to Amish country with my cousins. Had a great day. The weather was perfect and only in the 70's with low humidity. Today should be the same and then the crappy high humidity weather comes back. Sick of it but I guess it's better than ice and snow. Actually, it is better than ice and snow. LOL!!

My brother is doing ok but his heart rate has been constantly in the high zone of 120 or above. We are going for blood work today and I think we will stop in to see if he can see a nurse at his heart doctor's office. I'm sure they won't be able too, though. These hospitals are ridiculous when people need immediate help. Who wants to go to the ER and wait two days for anyone to see them. Hopefully they can tell us something.

Today I did RAW Kickbox NRG and had a great workout. This is a really fun workout, I like ti a lot and have done it a few times before. Will be one I reach for more often.

Workout was 32 minutes, burned 269 calories, did 3273 steps and HR was 141/183.

Diane - Congrats on the new great grand baby!! How exciting. I will keep them in my prayers that all will go well. Nice job on your workouts!

OK, I checked in a few days ago and my post is not here! This is what I have done the past few days.
Saturday- walked the pup a lot!
Sunday- Pure Strength Back and Biceps
Monday- 4.6 mile walk
Today- Body Beast Bulk Shoulders and loved doing this workout again, it has been a long time. The workouts are not too long in length so if I am short on time they work well with my schedule.
I ordered some new shoes yesterday, Brooks and they were $200!
What is going on in the world to have to buy $200 pair of running shoes! Everything is so expensive. I hope they fit, I have very long, flat, narrow feet and nothing seems to work for me anymore. We have rain today, it never rains at this time of the year! Cloud seeding...

Debbie, great job on the workout today. I hope your brother gets to see a doctor soon.

Today I did live dance and JS TB Circuit 6. I am done with Jessica Smith rotation. I will go back doing Cathe Live starting this week.

Diane - congrats on the new grand baby baby. How exciting. I’ll be praying everything goes well too. I hope I can lay there for an hour getting an MRI. Not looking forward to it. I do remember you being in a lot of pain after your MRI. Sometimes the way they position you in those machines are not comfy. Sorry you had to go through that. I still can’t lift my left arm up:( No way.

Jolie - great job on your workouts. Shoes are so expensive especially if you want some good ones. Which once’s did you get?

Roselyn - great job on your biceps workout.

This morning I did STS 2.0 Upper Body 2. I had a good workout. I definitely like Upper Body 1 Better though.

This workout had 1 minute rests between each exercise

Barbell Underhand Row: 40# - 2 sets/10 reps
Barbell Overhand Row: 40# - 2 sets/10 reps
Barbell Pullover: 30# - 3 sets/10 reps (I used a dumbbell)
Band Lat Pulldowns: 50# Band
Pull Aparts: 15# Band

Dumbbell Overhead Press: 15's - 10 reps
Dumbbell Overhead Press: 15's - 2 sets/8 reps
Bear Crawl Press: Skipped
R/L Side Leaning Lateral Raise: 5# - 2 sets/8 reps
Scarecrow: 5's - 12 reps

Dumbbell Close Grip Press: 20's - 2 sets/10 reps
Barbell Close Grip Press: 40# - 2 sets/10 reps
Dips: (I did incline Chest Press w/25's) - 2 sets/10 reps
Band Chest Fly: 30# Bands - 16 reps
Band Kickbacks: 15# Band

Sweeper Curls: 20's - 10 reps
Single Arm Sweeper Curls: 20's - 10 reps
Barbell Curl: 35# - 8 reps
Barbell 21's: 25# (killer)

Workout was 65 minutes, (had a few interruptions), burned 248 calories, HR was 96/132.

This morning I did RAW TLC Shadow Boxing and quite frankly, I did not like it. A lot of weird pivots and leg moves that are confusing I did about 3 segments and gave up. I then did RAW Egg Weight Finisher and I like that one. I used my 1.5# egg weights for both workouts.


Total workout was 50 minutes, burned 450 calories, did 4587 steps and HR was 148/174.

Belinda - Hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Roselyn - Nice job with legs!!

Hope you all have a great workout today! Summer is going by so fast, I only have one more week for my summer break. :(

Today I did LMR Total Body skipping the core work and chest, 44 minutes, 185 calories and CDorner Upper Body Stretch, 11 minutes, 26 calories. Total time 55 minutes, 211 calories.
It is late and I have a busy weekend coming up. My PET scan and doctor visit took a long time. They were busy and I had such a bad headache and the Pet scan with arms overhead the whole time made it so much worse. After the pet scan it was another hour and a half till I saw the doctor. So many people in and out and someone walked to the back of the office with a stack of pizza boxes. I hadn't eaten and it was after 2 when I got home. Workout was short. I am having the costochondritis flare up again so avoiding the moves that aggravate.

Belinda, good for you taking a rest day and for getting in 2 live dance classes today.

Debbie, nice work on Raw TLC shadow boxing and Egg weight finisher. Summer seems to be flying by to fast. I always dread the usual fall rains and winter weather.

Roselyn, good job on Legs.
 
This morning I did RAW Lower Body Ascending Pyramid and really didn't have a great workout. I liked the workout, but my heart has been really beating weird when I lift weights. Today it was to the point where I cut the workout short because it was being so weird. I had a holter put on my about a month ago and my doctor will review it with me Monday. My echo came out normal and my EKG did as well. But when I lift weights, my heart goes crazy. I remember when I couldn't get my heart rate up at all when I lifted. I wonder what's going on? Scaring me.

Workout was everything for 30 seconds on/10 off. 3 sets of each exercise. Kelly doesn't rest at all except between exercises. I had to rest between each pyramid.

Squats: 12's/15's/20's - 3 sets
Front Lunges: 12's/15's/20's - I only did 2 sets
Deadlifts: 12's/15's/20's - I did 2 sets
Plie Squats: 15#/20#/25# - I did 2 sets
Reverse Lunges: 12's/15's/20's - I only did 1 set

Workout was 38 minutes, burned 211 calories and HR was 111/136. The heart rate numbers don't look bad here which is weird. It felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest at some points. And I need to quit coffee, I think that is helping with this issue. I'm down to one cup in the morning but since I drink it right before my workouts, I'm wondering if this is contributing to the issue. I should have tried to skip the coffee this morning to see if it wouldn't do it. Maybe Monday before my workout I will do that and see what happens.

No time for personals, I have a lot of errands to run today. Hope you all have a great workout today and a great weekend!!

Wow, what a week! I have the floors finished and now we are going to start the upstairs bathroom. I am not looking forward to the next two months with construction guys in my house all day. Sorry for not checking in the past few days, it as a whirlwind.

Wed- Walked the pup 4.4 miles
Thursday- Body Beast Bulk Arms "loved it"!
Today Friday- 3.8 mile walk.

No shoes fit me anymore, they are for shorter and wider feet, which mine are not! I am not sure what I will do for shoes, but I found some old adidas in my closet that I have barely worn so they might work. I have a feeling they will not that is why I never wore them out. I have long, narrow, flat feet and nothing seems to fit.

You all have been doing so well on your workouts this past week. I am finding this summer to be a bummer with all of the work that needs to be done to the house. Oh well, things could be worse so I will shut up now! Debbie, I hope your brother is doing well! Prayers for him everyday.

Today I did CDorner Cardio Burn Dance/Cardio Kickboxing steady state, 41 minutes, 282 calories, heart rate 143/183, 3,705 steps.

Debbie, I hope you can figure out why your heart is doing that. Nice work on Raw Lower Body Ascending Pyramid. I drink only one cup of coffee in the morning too.

Jolie, I am glad you got your floors all fixed. Nice job getting in the walks and Body Beast Bulk Arms.

Belinda, I hope you were able to get in a workout today.

Yesterday I did CL Turn it Up. Today I did Cathe Road trip Live streaming MTB. Both workouts were fantastic. My DD‘s yoga got canceled, not enough people signed up for the yoga/cooking class. DD will do a virtual yoga with me tomorrow.

Debbie - great job on the cardio burn dance/kickboxing workout.

Jolie - glad your floors are done. I am not looking forward doing renovations in our house. Nice job on your walk and weight workout.

Today I did CDorner Legs & Abs, 50 minutes, 145 calories, heart rate 91/134. This one used a heavy fabric loop band and dumbbells. I used 12# dumbbells with the heavy band. I had to do a lot of adjustments for the abs and some of the lower body. It is difficult to make workouts work and not bend and twist the back too much. The LMR Total Body I did Thursday had way more overhead press and triceps extensions than I remembered.

Belinda, Good job on CL Turn it Up yesterday and today's CL Road Trip metabolic total Body. That is too bad your daughter's yoga class was canceled. Enjoy your virtual yoga class with her.

I wanted to get some step in today. It‘s too hot outside. I did a belly dance class. So fun.

Diane - great job on your legs and ab workout. Maybe try a stability ball for ab workout, it‘s a lot gentler than doing them on the floor..plus you support your back. I use the stability ball for all twisting ab moves. Maybe go lighter with the weights when you bent over.

This morning I did not feel like working out. We watched a shark movie last night and it was filmed like "The Blair Witch Project" and a quarter of the way into the movie I got nauseous and couldn't watch the rest of it. Since we started it, I covered my eyes and listened, only looking at the TV a few times. I was sick to my stomach all night and I have a really bad headache that carried over to this morning. So all I did was walk on my treadmill. I hate movies like that, why do they even make them like that???

Workout was 38 minutes, burned 267 calories, went 1.78 miles, did 4323 steps and HR was 124/148.

I have my heart doctor appointment today. Hope all goes well. Sort of worried about it.
