Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 8/25

Hi everyone!

I am thoroughly enjoying my rest week! Eats have been good.

Tomorrow is my mom's eye surgery. I'm asking for all the prayers in the world. This could be our miracle for her eye sight to be better. Please say a prayer for her tomorrow morning. I'll check in as soon as I can, although I'll be with her probably through the weekend. I'm sure I'll be stopping home here and there so I'll check in when I can.

Debbie, I will be sending prayers out. That would be wonderful for her eyesight to be much better.
 
My workout was Calorie Blast Yoga Ready to Sweat segment, 20 min, 69 calories. I then did T25 Gamma Extreme Circuit, 29 min, 213 calories and followed it with Tracey Staehle Strictly Upper Body 40 minutes, 218 calories. I omitted the abs. I like the use of the bosu in this and holding the bridge pose during the chest and triceps moves. I think I may use that dvd again and do the mix of abs, pilates, yoga, stretch. I used to use that one a lot. Total time was 89 minutes and calories burned 500.

Roselyn, we are celebrating our daughter that is the youngest birthday on Sunday. It is hard to believe she is 33.
 
Hi everyone! My mom is doing GREAT!!! She is seeing light again!!! She's been living in darkness (not total blindness but she described it as seeing cloudy and dark all the time) and now that's gone! She couldn't believe the sun was shining yesterday. I told her the sun has been shining for a few months now here in Ohio. She said she hasn't seen the sun in probably a year.

I'm estatic about this. She has no pain and her eye is barely red. Her vision will improve within the next 2 months and then she can get another eye exam from my doctor and get fitted for proper glasses. This is a miracle - a true miracle! I can't believe she is seeing so well already.

Thank you all for the prayers. I appreciate it so much!

Now I need to figure out what to do about her ex-eye doctor. She shouldn't be practicing medicine if she can't recommend someone like my mom to see a specialist before she condemns her to blindness. I have no clue where to start but I plan on doing something.

Debbie, that is great news :D I am so happy for your mother. I know she is probably really pleased. It is too bad that this could not have been done a long time ago. I am so sorry that she was led to believe it could never be fixed. That just shows that when we are given a bad prognosis it is wise to further investigate.

My workout today was Cathe, X Train all out low impact hiit floor cardio mix, then I did Intensity low impact hiit, 176 calories, 33 min. I then did Jackie Warner Crunchless Abs, 16 min, 103 calories. I finished with Tracey Staehle's Parts mix, pilates, abs, yoga, stretch 30 min, 62 calories. Total calories was 341. Time spent 79 minutes. Not a heavy duty workout. I tend to be slow and careful with kicks and turns so it takes the intensity down a bit. I am logging the days that the leg feels better so I can look at exactly what I did.
