Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 5/6

Today I did Press Play but only the first 3 Challenges. I had a pretty good workout but didn't feel like I had the energy I usually have. I did well, though.

Still, I pretty high calorie burn. I'm happy with that!
 
This morning I did P90X2 P.A.P. Lower 63 min, 438 calories. I finished off with Turbo Fire Core 20, 20 min, 99 calories. Total time was 83 min and calories burned 537.

Debbie, nice work even if you didn't feel the energy :)
 
Afternoon:)

Saturday went to Forest Hill Park I got in a really good Interval 5 mile run, Sunday, we went to my brothers cook out (fabulous time) Monday…….. TIRED, my nephew and his girl, come up from Coshocton to be with me Friday they left this morning. I thought about going for a run after work, but I tell ya, I really don’t think that’s going to happen. See you guys tomorrow.
 
Today I decided to lift a little. Not much and I did compound moves. I need to google compound moves for chest, that one was a hard one to pair up with another exercise. Also triceps. I sort of just winged it.

This is what I did, like I said, not much. No weights over 8# and this only took me like a half hour maybe forty minutes to do it.

Pushups - 3 sets/12 reps on toes

Squats with Overhead Press - 5's - 3 sets/12 reps

Bulgarian Split Squats w/ Hammer Curls - 8's - 3 sets/12 reps

Chest Flyes w/Inner Thigh Squeeze w/ball - 8's - 3 sets/12 reps

Tricep Extensions w/Glute Raises on ball - 5's - 3 sets/15 reps

I want to start doing this twice a week starting off really slow like this until I know my upper shoulder will be good with it. I am losing my muscle tone and I don't like it. Yoga is good, but I don't believe it works the muscles like lifting does. I need to get back to this but I'm so afraid of it hurting my shoulder/neck again. We'll see. So far so good.

So some HUGE news in Cleveland today. 10 years ago 2 teens disappeared in Cleveland. Just vanished. No reason for anyone to think they ran away and no signs of them ever since. One of the girls is named Gina DeJesus and the other is Amanda Barry. Thoughout the years the police would get phone calls saying that Amanda's body was buried in this location, Gina was spotted in that location, yet nothing ever turned up.

Yesterday, however, a man came back to his house after going to McDonald's and heard girls screaming in the house next door. He thought this was weird because for as long as he's lived there, he has never seen girls over there. He went to the front door and Amanda told him who she was and to get her out of there. He broke in the door and she grabbed his cell and called 911. Gina was with her and also another missing girl named Michelle Knight. When Michelle disappeared the police just assumed she ran away - she was older than the other two. Amanda was 15 when she disappeared and Gina was 14. Michelle was 19.

One of the girls now has a baby and they are at Metro in Cleveland. All are emanciated (sp?) but in fair condition. It has always been a speculation that the two girls were taken for human trafficking and that is exactly what this looks like. There is a press conference going on right now and I'm taping it. I have to take my mom to the doctors for her 6 month appointment with her regular doctor so I will watch it later.

This has been some amazing news, it even brought tears to my eyes last night when it was on the TV. I can't even imagine what these girls have been through, but I'm so glad they are safe and with their familes. Unfortunately, Amanda's mom passed in 2006 with a broken heart due to Amanda's disappearance so I'm not sure what family members are left, I think she has a sister. So I can't wait to hear what happened, if they had TV through these years seeing themselves on the news, etc. Their families kept them in the spotlight all this time so when you hear the name Amanda Barry or Gina DeJesus, you knew who they were. When 911 got the call, they knew who Amanda was and sent the cops to the house immediately. They also arrested 3 suspects and the girls have identified them by name.

An unbelievable turn of events here. Even the news casters were crying when they were reporting this.
 
This morning I did P90X 2 PAP upper, 53 min, 290 calories. I then did X train all out low impact hiit step and disc segments and stretch, 20 min, 169 calories. I took a shower and then did Gaim Callorie Blast Yoga, ready to sweat and core power yoga abs, 26 min, 117 calories. I am waiting for the plumber to come again today so had to hurry and get myself put together. I just know if I am standing here all sweaty in workout clothes they will show up. Total time was 99 minutes and calories burned 576.
This is an interesting yoga workout. There is a 20 minute segment that uses light weights and balancing. The ready to sweat has 3 sets of mountain climbers and a donkey kick segment at the end. Lots of updog, down dog vinyasas.

Debbie, that is amazing news. Too bad that the one girl's mother is gone. That makes me so sad just thinking about it. I hope that going light and slow works for you. It looks like a pretty good plan :)

Roselyn, I went and looked and I have not done Imax 2 in a very long time. I have it at 54 min and 413 calories in my notebook. I wonder what Cathe's has it at in their workout manager.

Today was cardio and I did my Run Fit workout. Had an excellent workout. Love this workout.

Diane Sue - I know, poor girl. The whole story is so sad. But at least they are out of that hell now.
 
This morning I did Cardio Fusion step premix but added the first two drills to it. I am still waiting on the plumbers and am going to give them a call in a bit. That was 55 minutes and 470 calories. I came back and did Calorie Blast Yoga, sculpt and strong body stong mind segments, 40 minutes, 154 calories. I used 5 # dumbbells for the sculpt segment. Lots of balancing with the weights. The strong body strong mind is more basic yoga moves with some balances. Total workout time was 95 minutes and calories burned 624.
 
Today I did Susan Chungs Rapid Fire results premix remixed, 73 min. 670 calories. I added on Rapid Fire 3 heavy bag and abs, 23 min, 153 calories. Total workout time was 96 min and calories burned 823. Tomorrow will be P90X 2 PAP lower.
 
Today's workout was P90X2 PAP lower body, 62 min, 404 cal.. I then did Les Mills Pump Extreme squat, back and legs, lunge/squat, and ab tracks, 24 min, 166 cal.. I finished off with Yoga Shatki, dancing warrior 4, lunge back bend prep, and supine poses, 17 min, 60 cal. Total time was 1 hr 43 min and calories burned 630.
 
Today I got up early to do 30/30. Whew I love this DVD as you all know. Couldn't stay in bed for some reason. hmmm. Too cold out at the beach today, only in the 40's and foggy. Brrrrrrrrrrrr Joey is going to bring back all of Cathe's DVD's this time while he goes to Shelton and pick up stuff to build our two sheds here at the BH. He should be back Sun.

I took a mini vacay to kansas city with my hubby, he is here on business. I feel bad though that today was my son's last day of high school and i was not there, i am always around, of course it probably did not bother him but did me, he graduates next week:( time flies

So, i brought TF workouts and Les Mills combat and walked a lot for my exericise.
 
Today I did P90X2 PAP Upper body53 minutes, 273 calories. I then did part of the Ava Cowan Fitness RX magazine core circuit, 30 min, 237 calories. I finished with Les Mill Pump Revolution triceps and biceps 9 min, 53 cal. Workout was 92 minutes and calories burned 563.
I did four rounds of the first two circuits each taking 15 minutes.
First Circuit was decline crunches 20 reps, incline leg raise 15 reps, followed by all out sprint on the spin bike 1 min
Second Circuit was 20 reps V ups on the bench, 15 crunches on the bench (I added a dumbbell to this) then 2 minute all out sprint on the spin bike.

Roselyn, sometimes those mini vacations are nice.
