Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Wed April 16

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Kelly Coffey's 30 Minutes to Fitness - Both Weight Premixes with Low Cardio Breaks. I lifted as heavy as possible using my 12-30 lb DBs. I was able to do tricep kickbacks with 17 lbs and lats with 30. I hope my pain doesn't flare too bad from going real heavy on shoulders like I did. I usually get bad trap spasms ...not sure if it's from bent over laterals or what. I added on 3 sets of upper/lower abs with a 12 lb DB and my Bender Ball. I can't believe how strong my abs are getting too. Can't even get them sore any more. I guess it's time to break out some Cathe ab work and do it with weight. That should do it. Workout was 70" and I burned 523 calories.

Now that I'm getting used to this DVD, I can really work those cardio breaks and this is becoming a fave of mine cuz of the heavy lifting with a bit of an additional cardio burn.

I've been reading Valerie Waters website articles and Blog. I'm thinking about doing an Action Hero circuit from over there. It's similar to her Red Carpet Ready workout. I really want that e-book...but cuz of my crap computer, can't download it!

I tried giving Brooklyn her medicine by myself and she (or should I say he/she) is NOT having it!! This is gonna be tough trying to give her medicine. I'll have to bring in the back up to hold her when DH is home.

Good Morning its 4:40 a.m. I'm getting ready to do double cardio from 4ds. Yesterday I did 4ds back and chest. I don't know whether this is a compliment or not, the girl at the tanning salon asked me if i bodybuild. I said no, and she said you are very sculpted and there is women that actually compete that come into the salon. Lately I've been taking things really personable in a negative way. I've been upset lately I don't know why. Maybe i'm just getting sick of all this therapy and I don't know if my medicine is working or if it stopped working? Has anyone ever felt like this?
Lora great workout! I need to get 30 lb dumbells mine go from 25 to 40 I kind of need to work my way up to 40's some how with arm workouts.

Randi - I'm HYPER sensitive and since I have low self esteem and this disease of Addiction, I tend to take things really personally and am constantly putting negative spins on things. Just my personality. I think the last thing you need to do is discontinue your therapy. Fighting problems/diseases like we have is a CONSTANT daily struggle! Hang in there and let your doctor know how you feel in case your meds need adjusted. Don't do anything Stupid!! It's not worth it! You look great and if someone told me I looked like a body builder, I'd be flying high for days on end. Chin up girl!! That's a freakin' compliment and a half!!!

Good Morning Maniacs!!!!

Today I am gonna work shoulders/abs. I need to make adjustments again and keep the carb count down. My weight is 120 again. If I live off tuna fish I am fine, but DAMN..I don't want to be depressed while being lean. LOL! Ahhh, hell..gotta figure it out
Meantime, will be working in my garden getting all the vegetation in. Excited about that.

Today’s workout is going to be a power walk after work. This morning, I tried to do CC#1 had to get off treadmill after 10 minutes, nor could I do a step workout, so I decided to call it quits. I need to walk off this stiffness, so I’m can bring it tomorrow when I do a full body workout. I tell you, I can hardly sit or walk}( Yesterday, I didn’t leave work untill 5:30 it was a crazy day.

Debbie: From yesterday Thank You! I plan to continue with this rotation for next 6 to 8 weeks.

Randi: looking at your pictures, your arms are nicely cut :) Keep up the good work.
 
Today's workout was Triceps and Biceps. I had an excellent workout. This rotation is really kicking my ass!

1 min. rest between each set

Lying Skull Crushers:
40# - 15 (warmup)
50# - 12/12/12
[font color=blue]***These felt awesome. I've never started with triceps in a workout before, so this was new to me.[/font]

Weighted Bench Dips:
50# - 12/12/12
[font color=blue]***These felt good, got good range of motion.[/font]

Overhead Dumbbell Extension:
40# - 12/12/12
[font color=green]Dropped the weight after the last set to 32# and repped out at 10 reps.[/font]
[font color=blue]***These felt good. Triceps were fried at this point.[/font]

[font color=indigo]BICEPS[/font]
Close Grip EZ-Curl Bar Curls:
40# - 15 (warmup)
50# - 12/11/12
[font color=blue]***Really felt these. My stupid EZ bar is rough and it hurts my hands when I use it. Sort of burns them. Even wearing gloves. Stupid thing![/font]

Dumbbell Preacher Curls:
22's - 12/12/12
[font color=green]Dropped the weight after the last set to 15's and repped out at 10 reps.[/font]
[font color=blue]***My biceps were fried at this point. Had a great burn in them.[/font]

Hammer Curls:
22's - 12/12/12
[font color=blue]***These took all I had. My bi's were toast.[/font]

Then did some ab work then 4DS LIS cardio. And that was enough!

Linda - I'm so excited for you about your chins! You are doing so well with them. Your bench press is impressive as well! This rotation is taking you to the max I see! Awesome!
 
Hi guys. Gonna do KenpoX today. Looking foward to it as I really like kickboxing. Then going out to enjoy the weather with the kids.

Randi--I wish my arms were as cut as yours. You are beautiful and doing a good job. Just keep going and push thru. You should def take that statement as a positive commpliment.

Debbie - I really have my Dad to thank for those chins. If he hadn't made me my bar and I was still trying to do them in the doorway, I don't think I would be any where near as far as I am with them.

Linda - I agree. When I was doing them in the doorway it just seemed so hard and awkward. I love my power tower bar.

Great job on your workout! When I get to this workout (as I am doing shoulders today) will figure out what to do with weighted bench dips as I have put bb on my legs before and end up causing more spider veins to develop. I think I might just put a 45# db in my lap (between legs). BTW, dh is getting 50# db's so you know what that means for me???? I am gonna be curling them suckers in no time. I am building up for it. Something I have always wanted to do, and when I reach that goal, it will be amazing!!!
 
Hi Everyone!

I've only got a minute to post, haven't been able to read everyone's post, but will!

Just wanted to post my cardio from last night.

I did the eliptical for 30 minutes, at a good steady pace and level 5, for 30 mins and burned 366.9 calories (so it said) but it did feel like it, I was doing some sweating!

Randi - Just wanted to say please take that as a compliment! You are a beautiful person. I don't know what you're going through at the moment, but hang in there and take Lora's advice. Don't give up, press on! You're doing good things for yourself by working out! It's good for the mind and body. Hang in there!

Debbie - Your weights just blow me away! I keep saying I'll get there. I'm surprised at how strong I've become just from doing your rotation!

Linda - Way to go on the chins, that is amazing! I can still do 5, but with the help of the assisted pull up bar at the y I'm gonna start using that and hopefully I'll be able to get to my goal soon.

Hey..just finished KenpoX. I loved it. Loved it. I got a wicked upper body wo too. My legs were so sore from yesterday, so the kicks at first were killer. But I feel great now. Gotta shower and get outa here.
