Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tues Oct 24

OK - you guys are totallying cracking me up. This is exactly what I needed now that I'm home with DS - sick! We just got back from the doc and he has strep throat, 101 temp. and vomiting - lovely day here. :-( :-(

Now, my problem is, guilt - I need to find time to workout and feel really guilty when he's up here sick and I'm downstairs crankin' out a workout. Maybe if he takes a really good nap I can go down and not feel so bad. I just want to make sure I'm here if he needs me. Well, maybe I'll do some pilates up here instead and see how the day goes.....hmmmm.....decisions, decisions....

I just got done doing Muscle Max Upper body and abs and Low max 44 min premix. Good workouts everyone!

Marcia, hand him a garbage can, some gingerale and tuck him in with a remote and go w/o. You can't watch strep go away.If he needs you he will yell for you.
He will probably sleep most of the day once the meds kick in.
He will be feel better by tonite.Got an old baby monitor.!!!
Don't you hate it when your kids are sick. I always feel terrible myself.

I kinda like ( what is her name ) the blue one. I could change shapes and be anything i want to be.Like a man once a month for 5 days.

Thanks, Anne, great idea. I think he will be fine if I'm just downstairs, he is 9 so I'm sure he won't have any problems. Just that motherly "can't leave his side" kicking in. :)

Charlotte - My weights are puny compared to yours for legs. The heaviest I have gone with L&G with ankle weights is 3# each leg. I can't go higher because thats what I have. I bought them thinking they were 5# each, but it was 2.5# each which pissed me off. I had .5# more that I could put in this pair and it brings them up to 3#.

Anne - I love step ups, I did them on the high step with 5 risers. My back was talking to me by the end of the workout but its ok now.
Know what you mean about funerals. Just had one recently myself, its nice to see everyone together.

Dallys - I do squats with a barbell and rack. No machine at my house.

You guys are cracking me up with thd Xmen theme going on here. Love those movies.

Marcia - You need to at least get MM, that is such a great workout and its great for addons with other workouts.

DS - have a great workout!
 
I wish i had some weights here at work.
Having a slow one and i could go to my empty back room and w/o.
I can't quit coughing. I have this stupid rasp in the back of my throat.It is making me nuts....

I have been skipping cardio because of it. I don't want to overheat myself . I am saving it for Drill MAx.....
Can't wait to see the clip on Butts and Guts....
I think we otta go to Sony and Kick some buttttt.

Done with upperbody workout. No pyramid work this time. Had to modify Deb.

Sword Raises (not sure this is the name...ha. You take a db off side, like your pulling out a sword and aim up to opposite side..ahoy, mates!) Did with a 15# db just one set. My shoulder did not like so no finish.

Off to watch some more scary movies while doing ab work. Have fun flying the plane whoever decides. I will randomly just show up so expect me, o.k? lol

Today I did KM stopping at the leg conditioning, then did TJ Cardio Party 3 no w/u or str, Tracey Staehles core adding a little resistance here and there and 3 sets of 10 hanging knee raises with 15# ball, 10 min of Yoga Shatki (dancing warrior 3 and supine poses)

I have to leave for a little bit. I am putting on my cape and will go lift some tall buildings. I will be back later:)

I tried those hanging knee raises and I still got more ab work to do. I only did 12 and not with weights. I don't see how you can hang with that much weight so long. Oh, sorry, I forgot...you had your cape on, didn't you? You, Maniac. O.k., I am off to do more ab work. I will shut up for now. Such a yackety yack today.

Hubby calls me Super Her ALL the time. I just did what I considered within comfort range. Didn't push too hard. Though sometimes when curling I feel like a broken down car with oil burning like crazy. Deodorant is never strong enough. lol. I need a man's deodorant, but I don't want to smell like a man...What to do??? lol.


ETA: Can't spell today. I'm talking and I can't shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is crazy here today! LOL!

Charlotte - great workout. Those swordsmen's or whatever sound very dangerous. I wouldn't do those on a good day! Brave woman.

DS - great workout as well!
