Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tues Feb 20

Hi Maniacs!!!

Janie/dallys...Janie is right about the raised garden beds...I had a clay yard at my last house and it was the only way I could grow anything and it works beautifully! (and I made it myself with 6x12's) those barrels work well too though!

Dallys...I couldn't do euthanasia either...

Suz...are ya lonely???? I see DH is gone for his FBI training somewhere glamorous? I saw your bread when I checked out Amber's new avatar picture (lover her eyes) HAHAHAH cracks me up. I can't imagine having problems with altitude.

Char/Lora...I'm wearing true love today, I like it more after a few hours. So far that and tempest are my fav's (thanks lora) I will be broke soon.

Jen! welcome to the maniacs!

Debbie...our snow started melting should be 40 by weeks end, I'm ready for some more snow now! I was kinda jealous when my secretary told me they closed the office for 2 days last week.

Meg!! no jiggles....??? I want no jiggles!!!

p90x'ers- Confession on the workouts...all I felt like doing last night was my elliptical ..so that is all I did. I see suz has caved to the boredom of routine Char are you kinda finishing??? I have to finish just to tell DH I finished! hehe but I think I want to dig into Cathe's new workouts a bit for awhile, so UGH!!!!

I have to post pic's from the vacation soon!!! It's crazy here and I have to meet with the tax lady tomorrow night. So bear with me it probably won't be till saturday or sunday.

Hi to Randi..Anne and all I missed

Amber

Amber,

I am suppose to be doing Kenpo today. Don't feel like it. I just feel worn out and yesterday did Butts and Guts so I guess I am zig zagging everywhere. Tomorrow doing chest/shoulders/tri's from p90x. My dh tells me to finish. ALways finish what you start, he says! It is getting boring though.

Can't wait to see pictures!

Bionics,

All the cookies gone? lol.

Jen,

Come down here...you here "ya'll" everyday and "how you". Sometimes I can't figure out what some people are saying cuz I am not from the south...Maryland, but to me that is not really southern. Maryland is more Metro..Urbanish. At least where I came from.

Janie - Thanks for the compliment re: the workouts.

Amber - I thought you'd like True Love more on the drydown.......so do I.

Meg - I'll have to try sticking my butt out farther for deadlifts, as I hardly ever feel them, but then I can't go heavy due to my back problems. I know I have a problem with my "beauty" products.

Char- I ate the last cookie yesterday. Dh said they were my best yet and threatened me to never make them again...EVER!

Amber- We'll be patient for the pictures, maybe.;)

Sorry, I'm the happy poster today, but I've had some cancellations and I'm still working on what workout I'm doing today. So, here I sit wasting time.

Char and Amber- How much longer do you have left with P90X? The last few weeks are the hardest to finish aren't they?

Finally decided what rotation I'm doing. I decided to do the 'Fatloss' rotation from the book "New Rules of lifting" by Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove.

I am going with 2 workouts a week. (you can do 3 or 4) I'll do cardio and yoga or whatever I feel I need on the other days. I'm starting with 2 weeks of the "Break-in" workouts and will not be going heavy as to protect my forearm/elbow. I'll then move on to the "Fat loss" workouts. I'm also going to add in the HIIT from this link.

Lora,

It does everything as if you were in a gym itself. I love this thing.

The nice surprise on this machine, is it has a self spotter. Can't believe how I went so long not knowing also about the Marcy Smith Machine.

Suz, the one that turned me on to it. Look at her picture trail. I'm learning more and more everyday how to use it. It's available at the Sam's club, and all the weight (300#'s) are included in it. It was only $408.00. It's made very well, and I hear nothing bad about this machine. All the reviews I read are good. Except one, and he didn't own one, so I'm not paying any attention to that comment. It takes two people 8 hrs to put it up. My husband only had himself, so he did it in about 16 hrs. But he is a very resourceful person, and got it done alone.

Dallys - looks like a good choice for a rotation. Now if I could only decide on one! I can't follow a paper though. I need to follow DVDs. I'm still eyeing the Look Great In Eight Rotation using DVDs or the one Diane Sue posted using DVDs.

Dallys,

Your pictures are fabulous! We just went to Capital Reef last year in the Fall. It is gorgeous there. Your Mom and Dad must be happy living in a beautiful place like that. OMG!

You must travel. I see pictures it seems from either Florida or a far Eastern State. I know that pelicans (my most favorite bird in the world) migrate, but memories from your pelican picture reminds me of Florida when we visited there.

We hiked in the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Capital Reef, Pacific and Atlantic oceans and many many other places. Your beautiful pictures look so familiar to me. I bet my DH and I have been there as well.

Isn't it fun going outside and just letting yourself go?
