Yesterday was p90x chest/back and an interval run. I ran 21 out of 29 minutes-broken up into 2-3min runs and 3-5min runs. I also added .8 mi to my mileage. I'm only .8 from run/waling 3.2 mi total. total time was 75 minutes and I burned 1110 calories. Eats were okay yesterday but need improvement. I have pledged to myself that if I did not make it or it wasn't made by somone I know on a personal level, I can't eat it (especially true for work). Today is plyo

Today was cardio and I had a very excellent workout. I felt strong and energetic and did my all time best with this workout. I chose one of the mixes I did with Cardio Coach, it included the 2 - 8 minute jogs, 10 alternating hills and sprints and 5- 1 minute sprints. Beat my time with all the segments. Was a sweaty mess when I got done.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 5 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
16 minutes in zone
47 minutes above zone
4 miles travelled
556 calories burned

Diane Sue - Sorry to hear about your friend with cancer. I will say a prayer for him. I need to get my breasts checked. I've never had a mammogram yet and I'm 43. I just keep putting it off and I know that isn't good.

Theresa - How long, approximtely, are the weight training segments of P90X? Nice workout today!

Hey Everyone!! I have been working out maniac style still, just not checking in. I started my rotation with STS/P90X and must say, I really, really like it. I am now on week two of STS and I am starting the week with legs and like that so much better. So, I've done week 1 of STS, a week of P90X weight work (endurance weights) and now am on week 2 of STS and next week will be P90X again.

Debbie - I thought of you b/c I said that my legs were not sore last time in Meso 1 - well, they are this time! And P90X weight work is about an hour and it is so completely different than STS. I love it! I am not, however, following the P90X other work. I will try it but I am doing my own cardio. Nice CC workout today - I did the 2 8 minute runs the other day and made it through each one so I was happy!

Theresa - thanks again for coming to FB and saying hello :) Nice workout too and good on the eats - it is all a process but once you go all the way, and discover how great you feel, that is such an inspiration to stay there, especially when you have a day of eating crap and subsequently feel like crap. That was the biggest eye opener for me, but it took a while.

Diane Sue - I missed your post about the friend with cancer but I am sorry to hear that.

My hair is falling out - anybody have this problem before? It's been happening since maybe end of June/beginning July. I started a different BC pill about that time so that could be it possibly. It is falling out all over, rather than patches. I bought some shampoo that is supposed to help the hair follicles, am not going to wear ponytails for a while (even though I don't wear tight ones), and am going to see the doctor because this can't go on forever!

Happy Tuesday...

Diane Sue - Sorry to hear about friend's family with cancer. DH's grandmother just found out hers has come back after 20 years, but she is 85. Still hard to she her suffer.

Debbie - Funny that you should be considering P90X, that is one of teh ones I was looking into to do next.

Shana
- Nice to see you back. Sounds like a good rotation you have going there. Sorry about the hair loss. Have you seen in the OD where Laughingwater is posting about the same exact problem?

I did Amy's Kickbox Surge this morning, replacing the first surge with the med ball challenge 3 from Amy's In The Ring. Workout was 1:00 and I burned 503 calories. :D

Oh and I have some good DOMS in my chest from Disc 25 yesterday.:D

Linda - yes, I posted there last night. Thanks for pointing it out though! So strange that yesterday morning, I spent a while on the computer looking it up, and then she posts about it later in the day. And yippee for DOMS in the chest! I had some of that from the P90X ten thousand push-ups...of which I still pretty much suck at!

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I am home today. Lady I work for is really in a bad way. Has lots of health problems and hooked up to oxygen. She is not doing well and has decided to have the weekend girl (CNA) come to care for her today so I am thinking my job may just dissolve because I have no nursing skills except for what I have been learning in the short time. So I am not down about it. Everything happens for a reason and happy to HAVE THE DAY OFF!!!! YEAH! Worked legs last night and today Chest and may get on elliptical for 30 mins.

Debbie,

DAMN...nice nice workout! That is the way to do it. Your legs must be feeling better then?

Theresa,

WOW..your workout is making me tired. You are working it goooooddd! Nice chatting with you on facebook too. When is your birthday? I just like to know all my friends birthdays.

Linda,

Great workout! Haven't talked to you in awhile. Hope your doing well. Scale still making you mad?

Shana,

Interesting how you put the two programs together..sounds like a plan. Sorry to hear about your hair. WOW..didn't know this. Hope you get a solution to the problem quickly.

Diane Sue,

Sorry to hear about your friend with the cancer. That is so sad.

Linda - I pm'd you.

Char - Didn't realize you'd be around today. I'll pm you back ASAP.

Shana - Welcome Back! Nice going with your rotation.

Morning Maniacs-

This morning I did The Firm Power Half Hour followed by Cardio Fight - Rally workout. Workout was 63" and I burned 625 calories.

I wanted to work out longer today, but I have to go to a meeting at the Nursing Home today and then to the Dentist later. I'm sort of mad that I couldn't work out longer and stretch.

This Cardio Fight workout is a real Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts drill style DVD. It is based on Jiu Jitsu (spelling?). It has a lot of really different movements that require a lot of getting up and down off of the floor, one armed movements, etc. Hard to explain, but it totally anihilated my already toasted shoulders. This did me in worse than Insanity. Sitting here icing my shoulders. When will I learn? I don't even know how to modify this one....so not sure if I'll be able to keep it.

If anyone's interested. Here's a look at it.

www.cardiofight.com

Have great workouts everyone.

ETA: I just watched the clip and they don't show a lot of the movements where you kick thru to standing off the floor, etc., but if you watch really closely, you will see a very brief shot of a few of the movements where you are rolling on your shoulders, kicking up from the floor, etc.

Workout this morning was Kimberly Spreens Cardio Combat Surge. I stopped at the bonus fusion stretch because I wanted to bathe and dress to go to the store. Workout was 73 minutes and I burned 554 calories 45% fat Max HR 161. I had a rough night with my dog and ended up trying to sleep on the couch so she could alert me if she needed to outside. Went to the store this morning and bought some Imodium liquid and rice and added a large Starbucks Expresso. Still exhausted.

Shana, I think that you should definitely go see a doctor. There could be various reasons why your hair is falling out. Mine is a little thinner around the front but I think it is an age related thing. I have thin hair anyway. DD in dermatology suggested that I could try Rogaine. I would have to keep using it though and am not that worried yet.

Debbie, I think everyone needs to get mammograms periodically. I have done it every year for so long that is does not bother me so much anymore. Since I have had cancer before and my grandmother had breast cancer I make certain that I do it.

Shana-You should go get checked maybe some lab work. Hair falling out can indicate a thyroid problem, stress, etc...the list goes on and on.

Debbie-Like the others said, the workouts are about 1 hr. sometimes, I fast forward a little because he has a tendency to ramble. Also, I skip the stretch before the start of the workout (bad I know but I like to stretch after I am all done) and that cuts off about 5-7 min.

Char-My birthday is August 7th. I'm a proud Leo :) You're a scorpio, correct? I have a lot of scorpio's in my family. Hope all works out with the job. I looked at that static training, it seems interesting.

Diane Sue-sorry to hear about your family member that has cancer. That is all I see all day long and it's a nasty disease. I will pray for them. Luckily they are quite young and that always helps

sorry if I missed anyone, I only have a few minutes to chat. BBL
