Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Month of November

I had my surgery this morning. It all went smoothly and I am feeling pretty good Sitting around with the leg propped up. It was a small miniscule tear. The doctor trimmed it and repaired it. Recovery shouldn't be too long. Obviously no workout today .

Debbie, that is good news. I am glad to hear that the dizziness and headache has let up. So, is the doctor still going to need to figure out what causes that?

Today I did the lower body workout of STS Total Body again. I love that workout. My legs were wobbly when I got done

Thanks everyone! I'm so relieved that my heart may be ok. I won't know for sure until the 25th, but I think I'm fine.

Diane Sue - I think it was my blood pressure giving me dizzy spells and headaches because I feel so much better now that I'm on the meds. I take my blood pressure every morning and evening and it's always in the normal range. I just have to keep an eye on it. I'm not sure what else my doctor wants to do. I'll see her on the 25th.

Diane Sue, glad to hear surgery went well

Debbie glad to hear things are better for you too

Today was To The Max for me and Cathy's extra leg workout in her rotation this month.

Morning,

This morning, I did Cardio Coach Choose living (think that's the name) PP. Glad everyone's okay, got run...much to do at work :)

No workout today again. Maybe I will get in some light upper one day later this week when I can get up the stairs. My leg needs some recovery time and I am not supposed to remove the bandages till tomorrow when I can shower.

Debbie, I am glad to hear that things are better for you now. Hopefully your doctors visit goes well too.

Roselyn, nice work today. So, are you following Cathe's rotation.

So I had the weirdest workout today. I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace and only did Challenges 1-3 due to this weirdness.

I could not get my heart rate up. It took all I had to even hit 140 and that is just starting to reach my level 3. I don't know if it was my HR monitor or the fact that I'm on blood pressure meds. I hope it's not the meds, that means I'll never get my HR in the zones I need to be in. I ran faster than ever and still couldn't get my HR into the 140's. And only at one point did it feel like I should have hit around 150 but the HR monitor never reflected that. So I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I can't wait for my follow-up with my doctor. I'm keeping track of all this stuff.

Last night and this morning my blood pressure was up. Like 150/80. I've been taking the meds so I don't know why it was up so high. I'm keeping track of that as well. I take it in the morning and in the evening.

Anyways, look at these cardio results. With this workout I'm am usually at 34 minutes plus in above zone HR.

CARDIO STATS:
42 minutes total
10 minutes below zone - unheard of for me
27 minutes in zone
7 minutes above zone - WTF?

So I don't know. Could be the HR monitor but I doubt it. That thing has never been this far off.

Morning Maniac:)

Tis morn, I did Legs & Glutes that's it  My plan was to do the Extreme but...........no..........someone hit the snooze button to many times.:eek: Anywho, after looking at all the premixes Cathe's offer on LG time to try something else. Like KB + LG; who knows so many workouts.

Debbie, Glad you feeling better;)

Diane and Rose: Hello.:)

I am still resting and icing. I am waiting for my husband to come home so I can get upstairs to shower. I will scoot up on my backside but he worries I might fall down the stairs to the brick flooring at the bottom.

Debbie, I have had times where my HR monitor just would not give me the usual readings. I am sure blood pressure affects that. Mine is elevated sometimes. The last doctor visit was a first in awhile that it was normal. Actually everything looked good when I went for my physical(except the leg) Mine has never been high enough for meds though. Since it just happened to you I would not think that it is the HR monitor. Mine changes with lack of sleep at times. Maybe it will even itself back out on your next workout. Generally that is what happens to me I bet the meds will affect it some. Maybe it is an adjustment. I am sure that you will have questions for the doctor and good idea keeping track of it.

Hi all! Today I did Pyramid Upper Body, Up Premix Only plus the abs. I had a pretty decent workout. I like that one.

Diane Sue - I guess I'll just see how it goes. Maybe my body just needs to get used to the meds. I hate being on meds. I have never been on any type of prescription medicines in all my life. It's really frustrating for me. But I do feel much better. When is your knee surgery?

Morning Guys:D

Okay I took it there this morn, I did Drill Max 2 'Scrambled Eggs' from the premix yeah....I'm grown like that he...he..hee. Seriously, had to modify two of the step routines like cross country forget the other one and I also lowered my step to lowest not sure if its 4' or 6' Looks like your girl is back:rolleyes: Kinda went to bed late was up watching Hip Hop abs me like.

Debbie: Pyramid nice.........................:)

Sorry, I guess maybe I did not exactly say that I had the surgery Monday. I read below and I did mention getting the bandages off to shower. Maybe that was clue;) It went pretty smoothly. The doctor said I could use the leg as tolerated. I am keeping up icing and elevation a lot. I got to scoot my backside up the stairs to shower yesterday. We have a lot of stairs. The bath downstairs does not have a shower or tub. I even have to a step down from the kitchen and two more into the man cave. Mostly I am staying in the kitchen and living room during the day. My knee was getting crackly so I started using the crutches for those few steps up and down on the lower floor. We have steps up stairs and then 3 more to the bath. It is crazy.
I see the doctor on Wednesday and will discuss with him what I can and can't do. It was small tear in the meniscus that he fixed and trimmed. I have a lot of degeneration of the cartilage. So, cardio will probably be mostly lower impact from now on. I will see what he says.

Debbie, I hate meds too. My doctor always asks if I want her to prescribe something because she knows I don't like them. I react to most in an unpleasant way. I used to take Nexium and finally adjusted my eating to more of an acid/alkaline balance and I quit taking it. If it can be fixed without meds then I am happy.

Teddy, nice work. You are really getting back at it.

Hi everyone! Today I did Cardio Coach #6 with Sean and had a really good workout. Heart rate is still about 15-20 beats lower than it should be. I'm going to change the batteries in my HR monitor but I highly doubt that's it. The weird thing is, I feel like I did when I hit the 150's as I did when I hit the 140's this morning. It's weird. Like when I was at 142 bpm it felt liek 152-155 bpm. I know what that feels like. I'm not sure why my readings are so low.

Anyways, had a great workout.

CARDIO STATS:
60 minutes total
14 minutes below zone (really not like me)
31 minutes in zone
19 minutes above zone
469 calories burned
3.25 miles traveled

The last time I did this exact workout, these were my readings:

56 minutes total
2 minutes below zone
14 minutes in zone
41 minutes above zone
507 calories burned
3 miles traveled

So big difference there. I see I ran .25 miles more than I did the last time I did that. So shouldn't my calorie burn been higher? I don't get it...

Diane Sue - Seems the surgery went well. I wish you a quick recovery! Is it painful?

TGIF,:D

Okay, this morning I did Cardio Coach revised 1 and I Hip Hop ABs duh!!! Can't remember which but it was only 29 minutes. I had fun doing this workout Shane had me cracking up. Because I went hard while doing CC then jumped right into HHA had a goodie;)

Stats:

40 minutes
2:71 miles
297 cals

Just checking on all of you. Soon, I will be doing something. Healing is always slow.

Roselyn, I am taking it slow. I want to get back to what I love doing and I know that I will.

Debbie, the pain is improving. My leg feels pretty stiff. I will be glad when I can work at getting some range of motion in it. The swelling has went down quite a lot. I think it is e less than before the surgery so that is good. I find it interesting on the HR readings. I have had the same thing happen before. I was just sure the HR monitor was not working correctly because I felt I was really working at an upper HR zone and it would give me something like 128 bpm. I still think it has to be the monitor but, it seems to adjust. Sometimes I think it depends on how tired I am but it really does not make sense.

Teddy nice work. Glad that you enjoyed Hip Hop Abs. I don't have that one. I did purchase the Gamma package from T25 and I think that one will still be doable with the modifiers. I haven't done the Speed 3.0 in that set yet though. I did preview it.

Nice workouts everyone! I don't miss working out on the weekends. LOL!

So unfortunately I received a call about my Echo saying it came back abnormal. I have an appointment to see the cardiologist on Wednesday. I'm thinking it's not that much of an issue or they would have had me come in right away, but I'm still a bit worried. I'm thinking the aortic valve is leaking a bit more than it was but I have no idea what that means and what will have to be done if anything. I'll just wait until my appointment and take it from there.

Please say prayers for me. Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend!

Hey Guys,

This morning I started my workout doing a 30 minutes slow steady run. Followed it with STS d1 chest shoulders and biceps. Have a great evening:)
