Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Wed 5-17

Good afternoon!

This morning I did Muscle Endurance. For some reason I didn't have as much energy as I would have liked. Oh well. I did it anyway and didn't go lower on my weights b/c of it. :)

Lora - I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon!

Dallas - I hope your dd gets better really quickly! And I hope your little guy doesn't get sick with that cough of his.

Christine - Yikes! Take care of that foot. Don't push it. I hope it's just something small that will go away by tomorrow. I also hope you get to see DH soon!

Jeanette - every time you talk about yoga and how it helps your hips I think I better start adding it in. Have fun at your grandson's game tonight. Have you done CC #4 on the bike? That's my plan for tomorrow since it's my interval training day.

Debbie - I hear so much talk about GS Legs that I think I'm gonna have to add it to my collection (small as it is) soon! I was reading your post about how much water you're drinking and I decided to take a drink and spilled water on my keyboard. Ooops! I think it's okay. I have a laptop so my "wet" keyboard is upside down on the floor drying out while I type on my laptop keyboard. So now we're all hydrated!

Susan - I hope you have/had a great workout! Don't you love DOMS?

Nicole - I don't know what's going on with Colby, but I hope his count is up too.

Marietta - Good job on the run yesterday. I never feel like I get my back worked out as good with free weights as I do with my Bowflex. Funny you mentioned it as I was thinking maybe tonight I need to add in some additional back work.

Terri - Karin in Boulder is in! Yay!!! I'm sorry you have to work late tonight. Bummer! Don't you just love our weather right now? And up here we don't even have wind. (Shhhh...)

Diane Sue - I'm blown away every time I read about your workouts. No wonder you look SO good!!!

Hey to Sabrina and Charlotte! I hope you both are doing well! Hope I didn't miss anyone. :)

Christine - I get those in my feet. My Podiatrist told me I have crepitus....which is arthritis. I use a foot roller (from the Body Shop) when they get like that and it helps....but I don't know how you'd use one on the top of your foot! LOL. I hope it gets better. Maybe your shoe wasn't laced tight enough and it just got irritated. I do that sometimes also.

Suz - Yoga also helped my right piriformis spasm I used to always get from high impact aerobics.....:)

Marietta Dynamic tension is a quicky strength dvd by Joyce Vedral. She pyramids. I am suppose to use tension throughout this, but I just lift as heavy as I can. She is crazy and her form is not good, but I LOVE her, and since I have been neglecting my wts. this on is doable. I really feel it today. Btw Marietta that is how I plan on doing IMAX eX today!! Although I want to do lunges today.

Thanks for all the well wish's on Colbys count. I will keep you posted!!

Suz my DS8 has a blood disorder. His auto- immune system attacks his platlets, and for the last 3 weeks we have been though quite a few treatments, and nothing is working?? His count has dropped lower after each treatment??? Dr. and Nurse's are quite shocked about that??? Last week I gave him a 4 day pulse of steroids, and tomorrow will be the big day to see if it works??

Dallas I think you would really like the urban rebounder. I know some of that high impact I would never do if I did not have my rebounder;) OOPS sorry not trying to sell ya anything:7

I just know my knees love my rebounder!! I know Lora will agree ;-)

Well hope you all have a good evening!!

~Nicole

Good vibes and prayers coming your DS's way. I can't even imagine how frustrating this must be, and scary... {{{HUGS}}}

I just got a call about a job that I think I'd really like. It's for a growing company, one that is looking to go IPO in about 15/20 months. Doing post sales customer service with strategic accounts. I had a similar position with another company and I loved it. I know I wanted to wait, but I figure I may as well see how far this goes. It's stupid to turn down an offer than hasn't been made yet, and I can always use the experience interviewing. Haven't interviewed in 2 years. If I do get an offer, I can always say no.

Nicole - I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't have kids, but I just think that the worst thing in the entire world would be to know that your child suffers and to worry. I watch those shows about St. Jude Hospital or the Ronald McDonald house and I just sit there and bawl my eyes out. I'm getting all teary just typing this. I will pray for your little guy.

Christine go for it!!:) :) We're rooting for you.

How's the foot?

I had to reschedule PT until tomorrow. So, you've had this foot pain before. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound overbearing. I just don't want you to go through what I went through. ;-)

Nicole and Lora ~ Did you see the post from Laurie on the OD forum? It's about rebounding. How funny is that Nicole?! Here you're trying to sell me something. ha ha! I'm sold! So, which one? I remember Lora saying that they're not all the same. Thanks!:)

Suz ~ Way to go on ME! Sometimes you just have to push yourself, huh? Thanks for the well wishes for my ds. He says the funniest things. :7 He's had me laughing a lot today. You should see him drop and do push ups. For a 3 yr old he has good form! :7 I should get a picture of him.

Dallas

ETA: Nicole, I'll keep Colby in my thoughts and prayers.

Dallas - why would you ever think you're overbearing? You're so sweet. No actually, I haven't had this before. I think the confusion came in because I was asking YOU what happened to YOUR foot. I know you injured it, but I can't remember exactly how or what happened. I really appreciate the concern.
