Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Seasun Zeiger's Straight Up Step for about 35 minutes and then I did Eion Finn's Power Yoga For Happiness "Daily Dose of Bliss" Premix (42 min). I didn't do as well following Seasun as I have been.

I also did Shiva Rea's Trance Dance Yoga last night. I won't go into much detail, but I'm not sure if I'm uninhibited enough to do this and if my DH sees me doing this, I'll never hear the end of it. He thinks I'm weird now!! LOL! This is a different form of Yoga with undulating and free flowing movements. It actually felt kind of good to move my body like that, but she got going in directions all over the place and I couldn't keep up with her or follow her, although she did say you weren't really supposed to. We'll have to see about this one! I love Shiva and that's why I got it. She's my 2nd fave yoga instructor with Eion being number 1, of course.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check in from work. I've still got this bad neck, trap and upper back pain and this migraine. Ugh!! I'm really down and depressed today also.

Charlotte - I don't know if you saw my post last night, but I have your package ready to mail. I'm sending Chili Pepper's Stadium Arcadium and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, as well as Theory of a Deadman and Puddle of Mud. It will probably get mailed tomorrow. I typed the track listings for both Chili Peppers CDs but I don't have them for the other 2, as they were burned copies.
 
Good Morning All!

I thought I'd do a pre-check in since it's been hard to get here. My dd is pretty sick. It came on so quickly. Last night her temp spiked to 103.5. She tends to run high fevers, but I'm still never happy when that happens. It's a good thing I took her to the doctor yesterday. She has an upper respiratory infection. URI's seem to love our house. :-( My little guy was coughing too, so I took him in as well.

Anyway, workout wise I did manage to get up early yesterday and got KPC and LL done. I had PS -back & biceps and a treadmill run scheduled for today, but....DOMS. So, I'll still do the run, but will do power yoga instead. KPC got my upper body good. }( Well, LL did it's job too. lol

Lora ~ Girl, I think a rest day is in order! ;-) I know you won't take one. Take care of those sore body parts.

Sabrina ~ I finally saw your pictures. Glad you had a good time. It does look cold! Brrr!

Good morning ladies!

I have P90X Back and Biceps on my agenda along with abs - not sure which yet. I'm also supposed to take a run, but I woke up with my foot hurting. Kind of like a cramp in the top of the foot, but it won't go away and it hurts worse when I step on it. So unless I can work that out during B&B, I'm not running today x(. I'm still trying to figure out how I can injure myself in my sleep. DH isn't back yet! :+

Lora - Enjoy your yoga - although like Dallas I think a rest day might be something to consider... Yeah, yeah...

Dallas - sorry to hear about your DD! That's scary! 103.5? I hope she's feeling better soon.

Good morning,

Today's workout was TJ 20 minutes and then PY4Happiness quickie premix. Feel nice and stretched out now. Had a tough Cardio Coach workout on the bike last night. Massage helped my neck, woke up with no stiffness in it again!! Yipee!

Lora, is there a clip of the Trance Dance? Sounds interesting. No one watches me work out so don't think I'd have to worry too much. Doing yoga again has really helped my hips and my neck is feeling better. Sorry you are still having discomfort. No fun, I'm sure.

Dallas, KPC and LL? You guys amaze me! I'd just be satisfied that I made it thru all of KPC, let alone adding anything on. Way to go! I have like this 1 hour thing in my head where I refuse to do indoor workouts any longer than that (unless it's yoga) or unless it's my day off. I'm just lazy, I guess. Hope your DD's fever is coming down.

Christine, hope the foot is better. I don't know about you, but when my feet hurt, I hurt all over. I can't even stand for the dog to step on my feet.

Must get ready for work. Have grandson's little league game to watch tonite.

This morning I did Gym Style Shoulders and then did Gym Style Legs. With shoulders (they are my weakest body part) I was able to do the 3 sets of overhead presses with 15 lbs. I was very excited about that! This is a quick shoulder workout, she gets in and out and you really feel worked when she's done. I got a great burn going.

Gym Style Legs I think is my favorite leg workout. I am always sore after doing this workout. I love doing the slow motion lunges with 12 lbs. You really feel them going heavy. Love the floorwork in this one as well.

Dallas - Hope your dd starts feeling better soon. Summer colds/flus suck!

I have GS-Back, shoulders, biceps on tap for today. My lats are still sore from Sunday’s workout.

Nicole, how are your sinuses today?

Suz, I’m glad you passed your eye test. Both my dh and I know we should have our eyes checked but are afraid. I can tell my distance vision is going a bit.

Christine, P90X Cardio is ok. I’m not to crazy about the series anyway. The cardio dvd is a mix of his kickboxing and plyo. Nothing new and it’s short. Is your dh still in India?

Jeanette, Tony is goofy, but he doesn’t bother me ~although I rarely use his dvds. Some of the background exercisers get on my nerves. I like having the option of turning their voices off.

Lora, that yoga workout sounds weird. Hahahahaha

Marietta, did you run yesterday? I hope work goes well today.

Terri, when does your friend return? I hope he realizes how hard you worked this week running his business. Does Dave still like his new job?

Dallas, I’m sorry your dd is still sick. I guess now there is no chance she’ll be able to be in her show.

Everyone is up now and my breakfast is digested so I’m off to the workout room!

Sabrina my kids get done with school same day as yours!!!! YIPPE.. Although I did sign my kindergartener up for a summer reading program. It starts at 7:15 am untin noon.:eek:

Nettta a few of us on this forum have a thin little book packed with motivation to get organized:D A ongoing thing for me ha ha ha. It is called 30 days to a simpler life. I am sticking with day 1 for this month. Day 1 is load a garbage bag of stuff and get rid of it!! So far I have done 2 :7

Terri you sound so darn busy!! I have been doing a little bit every day, and I am seeing little dents!! I have been getting at least of 2-3 things daily and boy it is adding up!! Care to join me Moi ha ha ha.

Christine you have me interested in that plyo dvd:7 I love reading your posts you always bring a smile to my face!!

Tomorrow I take Colby in again so I am so hoping his count is up!!

Hello Ladies,

Today is Imax2 and gymstyle BSB and some ab work. The weather is so beautiful I may try to run later as well before I close my friends shop down tonight. I will be there from 7-10 or 11 tonight. He gets back in a week Susan.

Drinking 68-72 oz. is going well. I think its better for me. I still feel hydrated all day long yet I'm not going to the bathroom every two seconds.
 
Jeanette - I think one of the girls at the VideoFitness Forum posted a link for a website with a clip, but I can't remember the site. If you do a search for Trance, in the General Discussion Forum, it should come up. I liked the dancing part, sort of. It got my HR up a bit and as stated above, it felt good, but the lying parts where she actually did yoga poses and moved her spine around or hips around were hard to get. I guess cuz it was my first time doing this also. The girls at VF all like this so far, but I still can't get over the "feeling weird" doing it part. I guess I"ll have to work on that. I'd also like to recommend Shiva's Yoga Shakti (of course) if you do end up ordering this. It is EXCELLENT. Do a search on VF and see what everyone says about this one. It will surprise you. I love Shiva. She moves so beautifully.

Sorry I wasn't able to post again yesterday...the day got away from me.

I ended up doing a 4-mile run yesterday...I also had a class to teach which is another reason I didn't want to go long.

This morning I did Circuit Max and some additional back work. I haven't done CM in quite a while, it was a good workout.

Lora - Sorry you're feeling depressed today....hope you feel better.

Dallas - Sorry about your dd...hope she feels better soon. Good workout yesterday...you certainly should be sore. Enjoy your run today.

Christine - Wonder what is wrong with your foot....hope it gets better....Must have been running in your sleep!!

Netta - Have a great day at work and at the game tonight!

Debbie - You increasing all over the place aren't you?? You have obviously gotten stronger...keep on doing what you're doing?

Susan - Girl...my co-worker is out again. I'm good...I'm good....I'm good. Maybe you should skip back work today if your back is still sore.

Nicole - I did IMAX Extreme yesterday but I skipped past the weight lifting portions. It was great...is dynamic tension a stretch workout or something. You done with the bike-riding now?? Hope Colby's count is where it needs to be. Sorry you're feeling bad...hope you feel better.

Hey all - did P90X Back and Biceps - that's fun! Nice back work on there and I feel sooo pumped in the biceps. Kind of like Popeye (without the tatoos)... Then I did Amy Bento's Abs - the first segment - as soon as I saw the planks in the segment I realized my foot couldn't take it and stopped it. She has some different moves - I like it. The counting is annoying, but she always does between 24-28 reps, so I just assume that, and know how many I have to do.

Foot's the same. Oh well, it will work itself out. I'll skip the run today (hey, that's saying something - I'm the idiot who went snow shoeing after she sprained her ankle badly - the movement from snow shoeing didn't hurt it - except on the steep downhills - so why not?) This would hurt...

Susan - DH is back in Dehli, and will be leaving tomorrow night (Early Friday morning) (flights from Dehli for the US depart at 2:30AM - it's such a weird time!). He gets in Saturday around 10AM. He's thrilled to be in air conditioning and have the ability to take a shower and stay clean. In Sararaphur the ground is just dirt, and dirt is everywhere. You never feel clean.

Marietta - either running or kick boxing. No idea what I did and I don't remember any weird dreams. Must have been the result of IMax 3 - but I was fine yesterday. *shrugs* Weird.

Terri - sounds like you have a wonderful workout planned! A nice mix of my favorites! ENJOY!
 
Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my dd. Temp is down. I just hope we don't have to start the nebulizer. I'll give it one more day.

I got 40 minutes on the treadmill this time and Bryan Kest yoga.

Lora ~ You'll be happy to know that I finally ordered the Sedona series from Mark's website and Eoin's yoga from Amazon. I figured my dh likes yoga. I can always give that to him as a Father's Day gift. I'll get him something else too. I saw that Shatki one on Amazon. It looks interesting.

Nicole ~ I've done some low-impact kb since I got hurt, but I hear you. I'm just following orders from my PT. She wanted me to get it good and aggravated for today's session. I did my best. ha ha! No pain whatsoever. During KPC I did some jump roping instead of some of the hi impact and lateral moves. Please let us know about Colby, OK?

Marietta ~ How's the training coming along? Just one of these days I may just have to take the plunge too. :)

Terri ~ Hats off to you for helping your friend out. Hang in there!

Susan ~ Yes, it really stinks about the variety show for my dd. What workout did you do on Sunday?! }(

Christine ~ Oh no! What happened to your foot? Be careful. I thought mine was nothing and look how long it took to get better. :-( Did you ice it yet?

Debbie!!! 12lbs on the slow motion lunges!!! Oh my! I'm lucky if I could hold my 5lbs for all the reps. Way to go!! Let us know about the DOMS on that one!

Good afternoon,
This morning I did I Max3,SJP step, Ab Jam w/ the weighted gloves and jolies on the floor work, ab ripper X w/ medicine ball and jolies, then Biceps & Back using the Bowflex & Free weights.
Biceps was Bowflex 4 sets 10 reps biceps curls, 2 sets 10 reps dumbbell hammer curls, 2 sets 10 reps dumbbell alternating curls with a twist, Bowflex concentration curls 10 reps 2 sets.
Back was 3 sets 12 reps wide grip pulldowns, 3 sets 12 reps close reverse grip pull downs, BOwflex seated lat rows 4 sets 10 reps, 3 sets 16 reps hyperextensions on the stability ball.

Dallas, I am sorry to hear you have sick children. I hope they get better quickly. That was a high fever.

Nicole, I hope your son's count is up.

Lora, I would like to find a good Yoga workout that is not to long but really helps the flexibility. I love the way Yoga X makes me feel afterward but it is so long. I am better at a 20 minute Cathe stretch most of the time. Eion Finns Yoga quickie audio is good. I felt I didn't hold the poses as long as they are held in Yoga X. I think I prefer to see the workout though.

Netta, I do use my Bowflex quite a lot. I change my weight workouts up a lot though so I don't get used to them.

Christine - Yes, be careful with your foot. I got a stress fracture last June. I did KickMax and felt okay until the next morning when my foot hurt badly like it was broken and it was swollen. The only thing I did during the workout while doing a side kick, the foot of my stabilizing leg twisted in my shoe and I felt a radiation of pain. Then I thought nothing of it until the next morning. I went for an x-ray a few days later at work and they said it was negative....thus I hobbled around on it and did aerobics on my rebounder. Long story short, I ended up with a huge callous that turned into a burn and went to a foot doctor (3 month's later) for the burn, and when he x-rayed my foot, I had a healing stress fracture! I told him I never quit doing aerobics and he was amazed I didn't displace it. I guess I was lucky and the rebounder helped.
 
Thanks Lora. I'll have it checked if it doesn't get better. My foot isn't swollen, but that doesn't mean anything. I'm just hoping...

I just got back from running...I went by myself today...needed to get away and do some thinking. I went about 4.5 miles. Did some pull-ups and back extensions also.

Terri - Do you have the Terminator DVD? If you do, you have to do IMAX Extreme and skip past the weights portion...good workout, I think you'd like. Maybe that run will calm your nerves for the shop tonight...you think? Work it going....I'm chugging away.

Debbie - That is about how much water I drink...works just fine for me. I've been drinking this way for a long, long time. That is awesome that you can use 12lbs on the slow motion lunges...I did them yesterday in my class w/no weights and almost cried.

Christine - I hate those injuries that don't manifest themselves at the time they happen as they leave you with absolutely no clue as to what could have happened. Just take it easy until it feels better and if it doesn't, you'll need to get it checked out. You are great to have around that's why I was sad when I thought you "dissed" us...(smile).

Dallas - Thanks for the update on dd...what is a nebulizer?? My training is going okay...not totally on track. Just couldn't get my self to follow my specific plan like I should have. Wanted to improve my time this go around...don't know if that will happen. Let us know how you PT goes today.

Diane Sue - Awesome workout!! What is your DH gonna do now that he's back for good?? If you don't mind me asking...

I don't want to alarm you, but I never had any bruising and/or visible swelling either. The PT said the swelling was deep inside of my foot. Anyway, I thought that gave me the clear to keep up with my workouts. In hindsight, if I would have just rested it a bit (then), maybe it wouldn't have gotten so bad. I don't know. Get a BIG ziploc or bucket of ice and see if that helps.

Where does it hurt exactly? Maybe I can ask my PT some questions for you?

Dallas - ya snuck in on me! Sorry - didn't mean to ignore you... Um, hmm, you thought yours was nothing? Oh, don't go scaring me! *pouts* But seriously, I am keeping a close eye on it. If it is something serious, I'm going to be so mad. Last time I got the point where I am right now running wise, I sprained my ankle snowboarding. It take such work to get here - I don't want to go through it again... I'm sure you understand completely. Hopefully we'll both get better soon. Ice - hmm, no not yet. *limps off to get ice*

Marietta - Oh thanks! *blushes* I enjoy being here with you wonderful ladies. I'll watch it, I promise. Bukodon - it was on Comcast On Demand - a preview of it. I wasn't too impressed. It's a little martial arts, a little yoga, and a little something else - but it's not enough of any one thing to really make it interesting.
 
Dallas - thanks for the info. I know you said what happened with your foot - but I can't for the life of me remember. It's doing a lot better - so maybe it's just a "twinge" *falls to knees praying* But, it's better to be safe than sorry. It's my right foot, the top, over the arch to the right. It feels like a muscle cramp - I do get those frequently in my feet for some reason (especially when I sit on them for Yoga) - kind of like a charlie horse - but it hurts more when I move it (doesn't hurt more if there's pressure on it, only if the foot is moved in certain ways - which is how I could do the standing work in P90X.)
