Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Tues April 4

Morning Fitness Maniacs -

This morning I did Cardio Coach Volume 6 using my rebounder, the floor and an incline step. I did my own stretch at the end because all that is provided on the CD is a relaxation (which I found odd).

This is the volume with a woman coach. She's okay, but I like Sean better. Sean has a sense of humor. This workout didn't feel as challenging as 4 & 5 to me. The intervals seem to last longer in 4 & 5 and from doing Cardio Coach, I've realized that is a weakness of mine that needs worked on. I'm fine keeping my intensity up for 1 minute, but 3 minutes......I need to practice at (or maybe I'm starting to get better at it already and that's why I thought this was easier cuz this had quite a few 3 minute drills)! This is one of the reason's I love Cardio Coach. I now have them all and it is supberb cross training because each Volume has a different set of challenges where your heart rate stays at a certain level for certain amounts of time. I also liked the other Cardio Coach's that had a stretch at the end better.

Don't take the above the wrong way.....as this was still an excellent workout. My face was beat red when I was finished.

Sabrina - I'm late with my check in cuz I was waiting for MTV.com to load to check the status of my order (slow computer....errrrr). The odd thing is that the only item I rec'd shipping notification for is the item I payed $9 for. Everything else says "processing". We'll see what happens. They have all of the prices fixed on the site now!

Yesterday I had a really nice workout! Really enjoyed the breakdown circuit! Super fun!

Today I am going for a 14 mile bike ride into next town and legs and glutes. Think I will do legs and glutes first though. }(

Morning ladies!

We are actually suppose to have a sunny day today. I hope it is. It would be a nice change. I have floor time from 1-5 today, let's hope for a walk in!!

Lora-I have not done the cardio coaches. Might have to check them out. I checked the MTV site this morning too and I have one DVD that has shipped and the others are processing/sourced. I can't figure out why they would ship one and not the others. Doesn't sound good and I have already been charged the full amount on my Credit card too. Let's hope the others ship very soon. Did you see my post that I sent you the $2 yesterday?

Good morning ladies -

I did not sleep again last night. DD was up most of the night coughing. So, I slept in a little this morning, which means no workout. I'm still really sore from this weekend and yesterday (my entire back side - from shoulders to hams - odd!) so maybe it's for the best. I'll just switch today for Friday.

I'll be in meetings all day, so I'm waving hello to all of the lovely ladies here! I'll miss chatting with you today.

Well...this morning I was planning to do the Amy Benuto workout. Now I don't know what I was thinking...trying to do this without previewing it, but I didn't make it very far. I didn't have much time I wanted to get in a decent workout so I decided it would be better for me to get on my treadmill and watch this workout. May have to watch it again before I attempt it.

I can see this workout becoming a favorite...but I can also see it taking me some time to pick it up. I agree that it was kind of short, but while learning it, I think you can make it quite a bit longer just by repeating the combos. Is it perfect? No...Amy makes a few minor errors but nothing major at all. I am totally glad I took a chance on it. Keep in mind that this is definitely an advanced workout...you'd be more confused trying to modify it, so if you're not looking for a true advanced workout...skip this one.

Lora - You check is in the mail. I did get my Cardio Coach but I have not tried it yet. Can't wait...

Sabrina - Hope you get some walk-thrus today! I wonder if you guys will get those workouts....

Christine - Sorry you didn't get much sleep...hate when that happens. Have a great day!!

Toasty - Have a great time on your bike. We are having lovely bike-riding weather here today also...but, not possible for me to go riding.

You are such a maniac! Watching a workout video while on the treadmill. Great idea though. I can't imagine anyone more hardcore then Cathe, but if you got the power then you might as well use it, right? Good Grief!!!! You go girl! LOL!

Hey Ladies - gotta be quick....as my boss is here.

Sabrina- some of the Girls on VF are getting their DVDs. I'm pretty sure they have to give us them for that price if it was their error. If a store has something mis-marked, they have to give you the price marked. I don't know if internet is different. I hope we get them. They are supposed to be decent.

I also forgot to mention how sore I am from Amy's All Pump yesterday. I didn't think I was very sore this morning, but as time goes by, I'm really feeling it. I guess it was a good workout.
 
Sorry for the double post....but I need to vent. My boss has been ON ME all morning about everything. Now she says I make too many mistakes (I make some....but not as many as she's acting like it is). I'm PMSing really bad and when I PMS, yes, I do tend to make a few more mistakes than usual. I beat myself up bad enough about making mistakes....I don't need her to yell at me!! When I get this upset, my hormomes make me want to go crawl in the corner, cry and then binge on chocolate!!!!!! I hate being so emotional.

sorry for the rampage!!! just needed to get that out!

off to cry now....she just left for another building and there's nobody else here at the moment.
 
Sorry she is giving you such a hard time Lora...I know that the PMS is not making it any better.

Hang in there...you did the right thing by posting here....sometimes it helps just to get things off your chest.

So far today I have done ctx step intervals and all step. Later is coremax1 and some upper body.

I hope that nice weather everyone's been having is going to spread this way. It was 30 this morning when I came to work. I think it's supposed to go up to 40!! Woohoo!

I just got back from lunch. I refrained from buying chocolate, but I did have some Baked Lays potato chips with my salad. I guess it could have been worse, but I still feel guilty!!

Marietta - I can't wait to hear your opinion of CC. Did you get volume 5? I like Sean. I see you even had trouble picking up that Bento Step tape the first time. I managed to have a really good workout, but I was always on the wrong foot. If you think that's tricky, you should try the 2 of been trying to master lately....Pam Cosmi's Steppin' Rhythm and the new Step Generation (CIA) one. I think I'm beginning to like torturing myself with all of this complex coreography and I'm even starting to get a little bit better at it.
 
Hi guys!

Hmmm, I dont remember when I posted last. Sunday I jogged about three miles and ended with 100 walking lunges. I still feel it. Yesterday, I ended up taking off. Not planned.

Today I did HSTA then the lower body Premix(13 minutes). I also jogged about three miles. I will do CoreMax #1 later today or tonight. I've REALLY got to strengthen my insides. I still look about three months pregnant.

I ordered a bathing suit from Lands End today. I hope it fits. Yes, it comes with a skirt. I wish I had the self confidence of Diane Sue. I've always worn a suit with a skirt.

Lora, thanks for the Cardio Coach. NOw that I'm jogging, it would be nice to listen to something while I go along. Do you think maybe taking some notes to help you out with your job could prevent some errors that are made? I know it's helped me when I had to learn something new at work. Notes are good to refer to if youre just not sure of something. I'm sorry she's so nasty. When is her bf visiting again?

Marietta, when I use my stepper, I watch a workout from HCE dvd. It helps me get through that dreaded workout. Which Amy dvd did you get? I look forward to what you think of it.

Terri, I got some SNOW here today. It’s darn cold too!! How’s everyone in your family doing?

Nicole, I had a dream about you last night. You worked at a fitness store and I was there picking up an Airdene. It was in a big cardboard box ( like it had to be put together) and you were telling your employees to get it off the truck for me…. Hmmm, I wonder if that means I *should* buy one! Hahahaha

Christine, I hope your daughter feels better today. It bugs me too when unplanned "rest" days happen.

Good afternoon
Today I did Plyo X and Turbo Jam cardio Party 2, Ab ripperX. Later I will check out Ab Jam and P90 Ab 200(sent as my free surprise dvd). I thought that Cardio Party 2 was fun. I really liked the music. I think the music can make a big difference. I am still waiting on the Power half hour abs. I cold but really wanted to get a decent workout. At least the new dvd's are incentive to get up and move.

Lora, I ordered the original Turbo Jam set that had the express shipping upgrade, and Cardio Party 2. I didn't see the Maximum burn set till after I had ordered. If I like them all I may want to get that one as well. Have a good day. Don't let your boss get you down.

Just got back from my bike ride. Did L/G earlier today. It was a bit windy today and I didn't like I couldn't hear the cars behind me with all that wind blowing in my ears. Beautiful out though. Plenty of sunshine. Made it up a hill I could not make before so I conquered it and picked up more speed on the way back home as it is more of a incline. I think progress is being made in the ole' leg dept. ;-)

Susan - I have tons of notes. Some of the stuff I'm making errors on are because I was never taught something, or I'm really busy and just slip. It's not like I make a ton of them.
 
Afternoon ladies!

Thought I would pop in real fast since I am at work. I have answered the phone a lot but there has been nothing for me. Drat!! Otherwise it is pretty boring here. I had an apple with some caramel that was really good! lol

Marietta-I have still managed to buy some workouts even though I am cut off until vacation. lol Love those sales and sweet Lora getting rid of those rebounding ones! I am doing good! I just hope I get the ones from MTV. One has shipped but the other 3 had not. Double Drat!! lol They better ship soon.

Lora-Cheer up sweetie!! We are here for you anytime!!

Susan-Hey girl! Take it easy on those insides. It does take time and you don't want to hurt yourself before your insides are ready to be tightened. My last baby was a c-section and I had to have a hysterectomy and bladder work a year after that so be careful.

I did the Elliptical to warm up at lunch and then did some back and light leg work.

Oh...I hit my knee really hard on a door...don't ask me how. It hurt really bad, but I walked it off and worked out afterwards. Hope it doesn't hurt later...


Toasty - Watching something interesting makes my runs sooooo much better. I had hit a mile before I knew it....I was really trying to get those moves down that Amy was doing. I finished my run about the time the workout was over and I had to repeat a few segments. Now, when I'm outside I don't need anything, but running on a treadmill is another story. The bike ride sounds awesome!!

Terri - Hi there! Yep...Amy's workouts are definitely advanced. I got wise real quick and decided to stop and watch first! I need some kind of idea with these workouts. I like CTX step and intervals...sometimes I like to do the interval part twice. I'm not sure when Dallas is due back.

Lora - I know...I can't wait to do my Cardio Coach...you got CDs right? Do you think I need to listen to it before I do it? Did you get those crazy taps on Amy's workout? Right when she started those, I was like...OH NO!!! I need to watch this!! I do like the complex stuff...it's a challenge to conquer.

Susan - Yeah...where you been? Just kidding :+). Those walking lunges get me everytime too!! You are so darn hard on yourself...I bet you look great. I could watch workouts while on my treadmill all day long. I got 2 of Amy's workouts. The Bootcamp and the Advanced Step. I'll be working a segment at a time on the step until I get it...she don't play! If we got snow at this point I would surely cry...I don't like snow in April...it's just wrong.

Diane Sue - Looks like you've got all kinds of things to keep you busy...Have fun!!

Thanks to you guys .. I ordered Cardio Coach 4 and 5 .. LOVE them .. I usually walk or run to one of the Power Music CS' that I use in classes ..(steady 140 bpm) but the Cardio Coach series was a welcome change.

I can see where the workouts can be varied to all cardio machines .. and even used outside .. the music is motivating and mixed perfectly .. Sean's voice is so easy to listen to .. soft and sexy (as his picture is .. LOL) . . yes VERY motivating .. his instructions are visual .. you can see what his words are saying ..

I have really been enjoying them .. I have done the cycle and treadmill to them .. and they can be varied for shorter workouts too .. like today at lunch just did a 30 minutes walk/run (tonight cardio kickboxing and yoga) .. but on weekends will do a run/sprint 60 minutes to them (like 5 the best for that) ..

and I owe all this sweat to you guys .. LOL .. thanks for the find!!:*

My computer was down for the day:( I was lost not posting here this am., but my dh comes home and gets it going in 2 minutes;-)

Anyway today I did KPC, and I really worked it!! Those 1 lb weights really step it up!! I was dripping sweat.:7

Marietta what Amy dvd are you talking about?? I think once you learn it... You will enjoy. She states she does not have a lot of break downs....Which I think is a good thing!! You will get it!!

Susan your dream cracked me up!! Hey I do have to say I really do like my airdyne }( You are welcome to come over and ride it anytime before you take the plunge:7
