Morning Ladies -

This morning I did 30 minutes of Gliding "Fat Blasting Cardio" and about 25 minutes of Sweat 5-6 Power 90 Masters. I didn't have time to do yoga today :(

Gliding was more like Better Burn, Better Buns than it was like I thought it would be. I was expecting it to be more like sliding. Makes me want to break out my old slide board even more now. I did double time the gliding movements to make it more aerobic. I wonder if the DVDs on her website are more aerobic during the gliding segments and faster? It was a pretty good aerobic workout in that you do hi/lo cardio in between the sections with the discs.

I thought Diana Sue was back from vacation.....what a dunce cap I am!

I still don't feel very well. I'm sort of achy and was in the bathroom again all night. I will take a rest day on Saturday this week. I don't really want to stray from my written rotation though. I'm so anal about stuff like that.

New Turbo Jam's come out tomorrow and they're supposed to be hour long ones and more advanced. I can hardly wait.

Good Morning Everyone!

I have to go back and read yesterday's thread. I can't believe how busy it got here yesterday. I don't think I mentioned to you guys that I'm also planning my dd's 8yo b-day party before we leave for vacation. I know! What was I thinking. 24 little girls and 5 boys (brothers and cousins)! My head is spinning. Her b-day is April 1st. Hey Marietta, cool day huh? :) However, we'll be gone so that's why I'm doing it now.

Today I did S&H Back and Chest. I'll get my cardio in this afternoon. I'm going to a breakfast this AM for a friend to meet her new baby boy. :) Number 5 for her! :eek:

Lora ~ Shoot! You just reminded me I wanted to look at Wal-Mart yesterday for that gliding set. I figured it's low-impact. I remember teaching that at the gym...way back when. ;-) That's a leg burner.

Susan ~ Thanks for the rebounder info. I would still like to look into that too. I thought my kids could always use it too.

Terri ~ How's your dad? Maybe you said something yesterday?

Nicole ~ How's the rotation going? I really want to give that one a try. Maybe when I get back from vacation.

Good Morning Maniacs!

Yesterday was my rest day so I didn't bother checking in with you all maniacs just to say I rested! LOL!

Today I am going to do lowmax and part of upperbody to PUB. I will see how far I get before I completely exhaust myself. I would like to do all of PUB, but maybe just finish other parts of upper body tomorrow. Tomorrow I am doing all three sets of BBM with weights and squats.

Sounds like you are going to be pretty busy! LOL! Have fun with the party. I remember those days, but my children would usually only invite a friend or two because DH never liked having too many kids over at one time. That is just the way he is and still is. LOL!

I really hope you start feeling better. I can't believe you are doing sweaty workouts and feeling the way you do. Take it easy, o.k?

Good morning my fellow nut cases (er, ah maniacs...)

I just broke out the ole credit card and ordered the two Tracie Long's I don't have, and the Windsor Pilates Advanced Body Slimming DVD - I've always wanted to try Windsor Pilates! So, I'm putting together my new rotation using all of these (I think I need another hour in the day!).

Today will be GS Legs followed either by a step class at the gym or more likely Cardio Coach 3 done on the Elliptical. I doubt I'll be into either running or spinning after GS Legs...

Lora - I'm totally impressed! I could barely do the workouts you do when I'm feeling 100%. I admire your dedication!

Dallas - Sounds like fun! I always loved a house full of kids, but 29 kids is an, hmm, impressive number! :+ My hats off to you!

Charlotte - hoped you enjoyed your rest day! I have to ask at the risk of looking like a piker - what is BBM?

Lora-I don't know how you can workout after you were in the bathroom all night. Take it easy! What are the Turbo Jam's that come out tomorrow? I never received an email or anything so I had no idea. I have all the others too.

Dallas-You sent me a short email and then ran out the door I believe. I was wondering what your plans were for Disney. That is a lot of kids for a birthday party. Wow! My youngest son turns 4 Sunday. Waaahhhh! I cannot believe he is going to be 4 already.

Charlotte-Hope you had a nice rest day.

Christine-I bet the ole credit card didn't mind being used! lol I need to order Tracie Long's workouts yet. I just haven't done it yet.

I have a meeting at the office at noon today. I also heard that they took on another agent. I guess she signed yesterday. Shoot! I don't have clients yet and someone else is coming in. I might have to tie her up and lock her down in the office basement. lol!

Went for another fast paced walk last night. Didn't go as far as I would have liked but is was pretty cold out and I hate being cold! I want the warmer weather. Where is it????

Dallas happy to hear you are feeling the TLT's}( Ya... you do have a lot on your plate right now......Just know soon you will be in Disney, and enjoying warm wheather, and having fun like a kid again:D

Marietta BBM has fallen off my rotation:7 I have quite a bit on my plate....plus the TLT's really hit the glutes so I am not feeling to badly about that.... Maybe after I am done with this rotation:7

Terri yes it is GREAT bonding time...My dd said last night that she really has fun with it because I am doing it with her.:D She doesn't know what to think with the Imax blasts Marietta planned for her this weekend}( Oh and she was has been really sore with all the training this week... I guess some girls were crying during wall sits yesterday:eek: She said they were tough, but she got through it, and not that sore today.... So I think the stetching is helping;)

Susan way to go with the treadmill!! I am still riding my airdyne like a maniac:D Went 8 miles last night!! Pretty soon you all can just call me Lance:7

Chrisitine you ride a lot... I think biking is keeping my legs looking pretty good??? What are your thoughts on this??? It is nice to have you biking with me....I never thought I would be doing this much??

Lora are you seeing results with your rotation?? My DD wants to start doing yoga with me.

This morning I did PLB - haven't done this one in quite some time...good workout. I'm planning to run during lunch today...

Lora - I need to look into that gliding stuff...sounds interesting. You take it easy...Hope you feel better soon.

Dallas - 29 kids!!!! You are one heck of a lady....I'd be running around pulling my hair out...I know I couldn't do it. Have fun at your breakfast..always fun to meet a new baby. If you find that gliding set at wal-mart let me know.

Toasty - Sounds like you got a good workout planned...I haven't done PUB in a long time. Since I did PLB today, I'll definitely have to do it soon.

Christine - Yep...I'm a nut case alright (LOL). You have to let me know about the Windsor Pilates...I've considered it. I think I'm going to look at the Cardio Coaches. They sound pretty interesting...Enjoy your workout at the gym today!

Nicole - The stretching is definitely helping your dd....because of you, she will have an edge. Ahhhh...wall sits...I remember the days.

Sabrina - Wow Sabrina...your job is getting more interesting everyday. Why do they feel the need to bring someone else on?? Doesn't seen like there are enough clients as it is...Hmmmmmmm. Glad you got a walk in...remember something is better than nothing.

Good morning,

Dad got out of the hospital late yesterday afternoon. He is feeling and looking much better. I am hopinh he will be ok alone. He gets scared sometimes I think. He can always call and I will go see him tomorrow. Today I need to get some work done.

Christine-I am thinking of getting one of the cardio coaches. Which one is your favorie?

Dallas-I will send you uan e-mail today. When do ou leave for your trip?

Lora-I am glad to see you are taking a res day!

Nicole-You still have me tempted on the TLT's. I need to do BBBB a couple more times before I decide.

Sabrina-Have you thought about doing some advertising? Like tablets or calendars for your area? Agents do those a lot here in my area.

Charlotte-I am doing lowmax today too!

Marietta-DO you have another busy weekend planned?

Ok today am doing lowmax and the boot camp workout from the biggest loser. It is the only one on there I haven't done yet. I like the others ok as I can make them harder when needed.

I thought I'd pop in quick before the school bus comes.
Today I plan to do the treadmill again and either CTX upper body or PH (again!).

Dallas, I could not mentally handle 24 kids in my house! I'm too particular and don't like "things" touched. I'll probably never have b-day parties at my house. You must have a BIG house!

Sabrina, I totally agree with Terri! Advertise yourself. It may be a small price to pay. Make up some postcards or flyers. I receive two local "community" newspapers. Maybe place an ad in something like that.

Terri, I think it was Diane SUe who did a break down of each Cardio Coach. Like, how long they are and the music that's played. I think Dallas has them too.

Hi Everyone - My boss just went to a meeting. I didn't have time to read the entire thread, but here's the info on the new TJ's.

Here's what Chalene said about the 3 new cardio workouts (I don't have info about Totally Tubular Turbo):

1. Kick, Punch and Jam - Pure Cardio plus Capoeira. This workout is very intense, but a bit less dancy (well except that yours truly can't help to shake a little here and there!). This one is a butt kicker, but the approximately 50 plus minutes really do fly by. In fact one of the cast members asked me when we finished "Wasn't that supposed to be at least 50 minutes", I said, "It was!". She replied, "Dang. That flew by!"
Approx. 53 min.

2. Fat Blaster - an interval workout combining 2 minutes of aerobic work followed by 2 mintues of a Turbo Drill...repeated for 30 minutes. Eat your Wheaties before you try this one. You'll want to use this workout any time you want to be certain to drop some serious calories and drop 'em fast!
Approx. 30 min.

3. Cardio Party 3 - Total party! Jenelle, Mindy, Anna-Rita, Holly, Vicki, they're all back. It's about as close to a live class as you can find. We had a huge cast and the energy was so high. Approx. 52 min.


They sound fun. The email is supposed to go out tonight after 6:00 pm PST.

Marietta - I like your new signature.

I can't wait to get my other new Gliding workouts. I ordered a couple off of Mindy's site. The one Cycle Circuit that is supposed to simulate a Triathilon and the Beyond Basic Gliding. I also have Bootcamp on order and heard that it is supposed to have some gliding in it. I've been wanting the legs & abs one but I have no money. My stuff hasn't been selling on E-bay lately. I've got to keep busy with new stuff since Cathe's won't be out for a while.

Nicole - I think my upper body may look a bit more muscular from this rotation. I think I need to give it a few more weeks though. I've only done 2 weeks of the regular Masters rotation and now I'm doing 2 weaks of the Lean. I think I'm going to do a recovery week next week and then continue with the 2 weeks regular/2 weeks lean/recovery for another month. I'll keep you posted.

ETA: I just did a mini yoga session in my office and it felt great. My bad!!!

Thanks Charlotte - might actually be able to pass THAT one up as I have NO butt (well, the cycling helping me with that problem as is LL, GSL and L&G)!

Nicole - I absolutely will let you know what I think. I'm really looking forward to getting them. I love BBBB - I like it more the more I do it. I love it that you're enjoying cycling so much! I fight to develop a butt - when I was mountain biking (climbing lots of hills) I had the best butt of my life. And it does keep my legs nicely toned without too much bulk.

Marietta - love the new siggie, too! Very glamourous! I'm like you - I've been thinking about trying Windsor Pilates since forever - everyone tells me it's fab. I'll let you know what I think.

Terri - I only have Cardio Coach 3, which is a blast. My understanding is that they all have sprints and hills, but that they mix things up to keep it interesting. I'm still slightly partial to Spinervals because they are specifically designed for improving certain aspects of cycling as opposed to merely interval training, but the Cardio Coach workout is more flexible, so if I don't feel like cycling, I can run, or use the elliptical. The music is techno, but it's tolerable. I downloaded mine to my computer and burned a CD - I don't have an MP3 player. You do need a shock resistant CD player though.
 
HA HA! You guys must think I'm nuts! LOL! No, I'm not having 30 kids (I forgot a cousin) here. I was going to do the party here, but once my dd put her list together we had to come up with other options. She wanted to invite all the girls from her class. I thought that was nice. So, we're doing a bowling party. Libby Lu was $20 a girl @a minimum! :eek: I don't think the boys would appreciate getting their hair, nails & make-up done. lol! :+ :p Besides with family alone we're at a minimum of 25-30 people!

Charlotte ~ My dh is like your dh.

Marietta ~ I have the Windsor pilates and didn't really like it. However, I got it just when I found out I was pregnant with my third. I probably should pull them out and give them another try.

Nicole ~ I did run into Target today and I saw Slim in 6 for $35. What do you think of that? Do you recommend that set?

Marietta, they did not have the gliding set at Target. I'm going to try and run into Wal-Mart again and check.

Lora ~ Thanks for the descriptions.

Terri ~ That's good news you dad is home. How's Ashley? I really like CC. I just wish I could use it right now. I wish you lived closer you could borrow my iPod!

Sabrina ~ We leave March 29. I still have no shorts or bathing suit.:-(

Susan ~ Good for you you're getting some workouts in again. The baby must be getting into a routine?

Did you all see the update from Cathe? She must be ready to pull her hair out. How frustrating. Awww, you guys should have seen that little baby. So, so teeny and cuddly. In fact, there were two newborns there. All the girls were like Dallas is going to have another one. :eek: I wish. My dh is done.

OK, got to go. I did absolutely nothing this morning. My house looks like a tornado hit it! :-( I still have cardio to do. Yes, Christine when you find that extra hour in the day let me know! :) lol

Dallas-You better get shopping! I just got a bikini from Victorias. The 29th will be here before you know it. I managed to book the Mickeys backyard BBQ and the Hoop-Dee-Doo for when we go. I am still waiting for the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas to go on sale. I have no idea on the dates yet. I wish they would post them. I am not a patient person!! lol Don't you just love new babies. I would have went for another but DH said no way (I can't have anymore now).

My dh just called and told me we're having Greek Easter here!!! His parent's basement got water in the entire basement from the storm the other night. It's a mess over there.

Anyone have a platter?!?! Forget the full plate! :p :-( Also, I can cook an American Easter meal, but Greek Easter. Ok, I just have to remember a little olive oil (OK, maybe A LOT) and lemon juice. There! ;-)

I seriously have to take one event at a time. I know....deep breath!

You really made it sound like you were having all those kids over to your house...bowling sounds fun, but that's still a lot of kids...but since they are mostly family...you'll have plenty of help. Yeah, your DD was born on a great day...

Yep, feeling bad for Cathe...hope she can figure out what's going on. Reminds me of you Dallas...you can't really treat something when you don't know what the heck is going on. Those kinds of injuries are very tricky.

As for my weekend...it's busy but not as bad as last week. My DD10 has a tumbling competition on Saturday, but I have a class to teach before that and then I'm supposed to be at my parents house at 5:30 on Saturday to celebrate my brother and sister's birthday...then, I have to go to church by 7:30-8:00 for some youth activities....That's Saturday. Then Sunday, I'll get up and workout and go to church, then I have a surprise party to go to for a friend of mine after that. I'm off on Friday, but I think I will be busy making cards for the parties I'm going to this weekend, plus my daughters are home so I'm sure they will find something for me to do. Probably too much information...sorry.

Gosh...better get back to work.

Hi all!

Boy, my house isn't getting vert clean today! lol!

I just got off the phone with the dr. She said it's impingement syndrome. ????? I have never heard of it before. She said I'll have to go for physical therapy and prescribed an anti-inflammatory. No high impact, running etc. for one month (at least) I asked if I could still do what I have been doing? She said, "Be careful." I wonder if this is why somedays it's OK and then other days do the same and have problems because of the inflammation in the soft tissues? Maybe somedays it's more aggravated. Hmmm.

Marietta ~ Have you ever heard of this? ETA: No, that's still 30 kids, plus 20-25 adults! OK, that's just nuts!

Christine ~ Those BBM exercise really sculpt those leg/glute muscles. I don't think I have a big butt. ha ha Maybe I better go look! hee hee :+ :7 :p Of course, I've had to fine-tune the exercises because of my restrictions. :-( It's all good!

Nicole ~ I'm happy I got the DOMS w/the TLTs and that was modifying. Just think what those babies will do for me when I can do the whole enchilada! }(

OK, I really must put some laundry away.

Good afternoon
Yesterday I did P90X chest and a 2.5 mile treadmill run. And ab ripper X with 40 reps of kneeling crunches on the Bowflex. Today I did P90X Plyometrics. DH and I have been enjoying our time together so my workouts are much shorter. I may not check in everyday. We are having family over tomorrow and another birthday celebration for my nephew. I will be making cake tonight:)

Lora, I am back. I am glad you are enjoying the cardio coach workouts. I will definitely check out the new ones.
