Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check in for Thurs Feb 9

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Strength in Movement (TLT). I'm starting to like this one a little more now that I"m getting familiar with it.

I didn't go to the sinus doctor yesterday. That appt is not until after I have my CAT scan. I had to take medication for a week, then get the CAT scan which is scheduled for 2/14. I go back to the ENT on 2/20. I'll let everyone know what he says.

I almost couldn't get on the computer today. It took me 5 tries to get on the internet. My computer keeps making this loud buzzing noise and won't connect. I hope it makes it until the weekend.

Have great workouts everyone. I'll try to check back later, but I don't know if I can from work.

Terry - I hope your feeling better.

Dallas - I hope your foot is better.

Good Morning!!

This morning I did Low Max and intervals 6-10 of IMAX2 - NICE!! I think I could have done all of IMAX2, but I didn't have time. I will probably do a good leg workout during lunch.


Lora - Doesn't sound good for your computer...hope you make it to the weekend.

Good morning!

I too will be ding lowmax and imax2 intervals today. Marietta this rotation sure uses those workouts a lot :) I also realized that since I was sick I still owe the rotation some situps. I will add those on to the end. Later today I think I will do another SS workout. Tone it up as is is only 50+minutes.

Good Morning Everyone!

Lora ~ It doesn't sound good for your computer! Thanks for the well wishes for my foot. I ran yesterday and it felt a little tight last night. I stretched and iced it last night. I woke up and it feels fine! Yippee!:7 I think I'm going to stick with the treadmill for another week. It's killing me not to do some Cathe cardio! I'm just happy I can do some cardio though. I haven't tried SIM yet.

Marietta ~ Yes, I'm strongly considering going vegetarian. I figured I have to give it a try and see where my cholesterol goes with this approach. Who knows maybe it will become my lifestyle. I've already checked out the book Eat to Live. I definitely need to read up first.
That was a good workout!

Susan ~ Big ((((((HUGS)))))! I know it's so hard right now. Make sure you try and sleep when the baby does - at least some of the naps. We are here for you!

Nicole ~ What workout do you have planned today?

Sabrina ~ I sent you an e-mail back about your trip. Happy Birthday to your son? What's the b-day plans?

Lisa ~ Did you hear about the interview? I'm crossing my fingers for you!:)

Today I did PUB, C&W abs and stretch. I'm getting ready to do SS-TIU. I'd like to get in a 20-30 minute run again.

Morning Ladies!!

I am ready to pull my hair out. DS10 has a fever now, 103. DS9(as of today) was upset because he wont be able to have his birthday party. I told him we could have it this weekend, so I am calling everyone and letting them know. I have to take my DS9 to school so he stays out of the cold and I also had to take his treats in today. I have my mom coming at 11:30 so I can go get some McDonalds for him for lunch. ANy suggestions on something not too bad for you since I will be eating with him??? I am still going to bake him a cake for this evening too and we are letting him open his presents. DH is going to rearrange his schedule for tomorrow since DS3 has a dentist appointment in Peoria (50 min away) plus I have Valentine's to get for the boys and a stencil I need to see if Kinko's can enlarge so we can get it cut out. There are many other things that have to get done too. I have been in the house all week with sick kids and have not managed to get anything done. Sorry for the rant!!!

Oh I forgot to tell you ladies that Saturday after work DH and I are going to a chocolate fest. YUMMY!!!

Sabrina-My oh My you have lots to do! I feel bad for your son but at least you are making today special and he will have a party this weekend. Tell him it is like having 2 parties :) Oh and what is a chocolate fest?

Dallas-So oglad your foot is better. You are taking it easy and working your way back so that is good. I am feeling much better and I am caught up on the rotation except for those situps I will add today. hey we are both doing TIU today :)

Sabrina--What about getting a grilled chicken sandwich (no mayo)? That's what I end up with whenever I am forced to eat at McDonalds (really don't like that place).

Today is HSC and 2nd half of MIC. I've heard others say they were disappointed in the lack of intensity of HSC. Should I sub Bootcamp? I don't want to "waste" my time doing something that isn't overly challenging. I'm happy I've been able to follow this rotation so far --just wish I could have done some add-ons like I had planned. This last minute interview threw those plans out the door.

Anyway, on to some breakfast. All for now.

Sabrina ~ So sorry for your son. Also for you, I know how it is to be cooped (?sp) up in the house. When I treat my kids to Mc's every now and then. I either get the salad and mix my own dressing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar or I just make something for myself at home.

Lisa-I say do HSC since you will also be dong some of MIC. It makes it a worthwhile workout! Just my opinion.:)

Lora, I'm glad your computer still works. I think I mentioned before if my DH changes jobs we may have to buy our own home computer. I can’t imagine what they cost.

Dallas, is your foot completely better? Did you say it was the top of your foot that hurt? Do you think the Jollies had anything to do with the injury?

Marietta, I too love IMAX2. At least you got to do some of it. Have an awesome leg w/o! I love (and miss) LEG day. Do a set of squats for me.;-)

Sabrina, I'm sorry your son is sick. I think there is a medicine (Motrin?) for a kid that’s a fever reducer. Could that help him? McDonalds has salads and they give you the dressing on the side. But the chicken sandwich Lisa mentioned sounds better; I've never tried it. How's the job going?

Terri, sorry to hear you were sick. I've done the same thing; when I've missed a part of a w/o I've made up for it somewhere. Are you following Cathe's rotation this month? How's Ashley and your son doing?

Diane sue, When do you leave for your vacation? Is soon isn’t it?

Susan-So glad you got some sleep!! I sent out a packet to one guy that called about a lot but I have not heard anything back. I work again Saturday 9-12. I hope my day comes soon.

Dallas-How are you kids doing? Is your youngest still sick?

Terri-Maybe I should have said Chocolate Tasting Fest!! LOL! We go to where they are having it and when you walk in you each get a tray and there is chocolate things everywhere and you load up your tray and taste away. I have never been so this is our first year but I guess there is lots to choose from. I cannot wait. I LOVE CHOCOLATE!!! It is my weakness. I dont drink coffee, tea, or soda. It has to be chocolate!

Thanks for the well wishes for my sick kids!

Well today I got out my BiGGEST LOSER dvd}( I got it last month, but forgot about it??? (silly me) Watching the show last night inspired me to pull it out today:7

I did 5 min warm-up.
Low intensity workout I think it was 25min....... Liked this, but did not like how he would stop. I kept doing stuff to keep up my Heartrate up.

High Intensity workout 20-25 min. This one kept my hr up the whole time, and I did do some of the high impact on my rebounder which I really liked.

Then a quick 20 min. sculpting routine.
Then a stretch about 10 min.??

The only part of the dvd I did not do was the bootcamp. I did not eat breakfast and my energy was starting to GO:-(

Sabrina what did you think of last nights show??? I thought both couples did great, but Lyle really looked tiny!! Can you believe on much weight that Bruce lost. Boy he worked hard!! Oh BTW now if I were going to MacDonalds today I would get a Big Mac}( You have me thinking about that now...haha. My dd was asking to go there yesterday. hmmmm.......maybe we will go to the drive through.... Sorry to hear your kids are sick!!

Dallas I will have to ask my dad about what they recommended!! I know the lady we buy our cow from that she swears by flaxseed flour... It brought her down over a 100 points.

Susan I remember those sleepless nights, and I remember feeling very psychox( It will pass....... Look last night was good....Hopefully it will stay that way:7

Marietta sounds like you had quite a good workout in:D I am going to *TRY* and put some airdyne time in.....maybe 20-30min????

Hello again!!

Well you guys have been pretty busy haven't you. I had a lot of work to do this morning so I can to go away.

I did get in a great leg workout...I love working legs!! I also got a little glute work in there as well. I told you guys...I'm serious about my butt now...the magazine really opened my eyes!

Terri - girl, we are maniacs aren't we?? gotta love us...I haven't run too much this week...thought I needed to have an easier running week for a change. I should be able to get in my long run on Sunday though.

Sabrina - I'd definitely do the chicken sandwich w/o mayo...it's the bomb. The only thing is that I can't do McDonalds and not have the fries so I just don't go at all. Hope your DD has great birthday!

Dallas - Vegetarian...very interesting. I don't have a problem with it...I just don't think I could do it. I'm too picky. Glad your foot is better...Still wanna take it easy though...since we don't know what the heck is wrong with it.

Lisa - I like HSC but not as much as I like HSTA...although it's growing on me more and more each time I do it. I agree with Terri though...since you're doing MIC...do HSC...you'll still get a good workout.

Nicole - Sounds like the Biggest Loser workouts are pretty good. I thought about getting them...but so far, I haven't been compelled to get them. So...did you just pull this bike thing out all of a sudden? You've been on it a lot lately....

Ok lowmax and imax2 6-10 done. I will do SS later. A friend just called and asked me to meet for lunch so I need to get ready for that. Work phones have been crazy today! I ignored them while I worked out and spent the last half hour returning calls. A benefit of running my business from home :)

Marietta it is my DH:7 Although he has not used it for awhile haha. I was using it for warm up quite a bit, and then use it for some of Cathes rotations when she calls for a run. I would ride the bike. As I have stated in the past I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with it. It is really hard working out on it, but once I get past the 5 min. mark. I am off and running:7 Like I said before all the running and workouts you do have inspired me to ride the darn thing. Finally getting my use out of it:D Ya know I think I am leaning out from all this cardio??

Terri I picked up "The biggest loser workout" on a whim when I went grocery shopping at Walmart. I paid like 9.96 for it. I was not going to buy it, but Lora had done the workout, and liked it so I thought for the price why not. It has 6 workouts on it
1 warm up
2 low intensity
3 high intensity
4 strength
5 bootcamp
6 stretch. dvd time total 109 min
You can customize your workout. What a bang for the buck. I am looking forward to the bootcamp one because it showed them punching with light weights. You know how I love that. I need to watch throught the options because it has a lot!!

Susan ~ Glad you got some sleep last night! The sleepless nights are so hard and even more so the next day. You know I thought about those Jollie's and my foot. I never used them for cardio only floor work, SS and abs, but you never know. I haven't used them since I hurt my foot. I figured it would be best.

Marietta ~ I'm just researching my options about the diet. Did you see Lorrie's thread? I've been thinking about it for several months now. My dh's family will think I'm a freak or something. ha ha! Just like the Big Fat Greek Wedding. :7 "What do you mean you don't eat meat?!" How are all those meetings going?

ETA: Marietta, if you come up with a plan for your glute work outs, could you post or e-mail me? I have the magazine, but it's a lot to digest.

Terri ~ How was lunch with your friend? I've been wondering about Ashley too. Everything OK? Did you get your TIU in? What do you think of those glutes raises? Ouch!}(

Sabrina ~ My little guy is getting there. I just have to get him to sleep more. He's been getting up when I get up at 5A lately. It makes for a long day. Sometimes he falls back asleep on the couch while I'm working out. I'm playing Bunko tomorrow night. Any tips?! ha ha! I've never played before.

Hi Ladies,

I just got back home. I had soup for lunch and we had a nice talk. My friend was a school teacher who was just replaced due to a bunch of BS. He is staying positive and was out doing interviews today.

Ashley is doing very well. Thanks to all who asked. She gets tired but is a real stong willed young Lady and stays so positive. I truly admire her.

Nicole, thanks for the info on the biggest loser workout. If it's that cheap pI may have to buy it. I really want the TLT's but don't want to spend the money at this time. It is addicting all these workouts :)

This mornings workout was HCExtreme Hi Low intervals and P90X Yoga. I still haven't decided whether to carry on with the weight work like I have the last three weeks. Core Synergistics is on the schedule for tomorrow. Maybe I will add a little something to it. They do say you can extend a phase. All of my grandchildren just left. I have some cleaning I need to get done this evening.

Lora, I hope you get your computer fixed soon. I recently had someone come out and fix my laptop and go over the desk top as well. I feel lost without one.

Susan, I am glad you got some sleep last night. You need your rest to take care of the family. I leave on vacation March 6.

Dallas, I came home from my eye appointment with a stiff neck and headache. They kept trying to get all of these images of the cornea for another eye surgury. On one machine they took 17 images of my left eye. I kept trying to keep my chin in the machine tight and not move or blink or move my eye from the dot. After doing four different machines I had had enough. As far as a stability ball my favorite is the Theraband slow deflate one I got at fw.

Sabrina, I am sorry you are having to deal with so much and sick children. It sounds like you deserve a chocolate fest.

Nicole, I had laser eye surgury 7 months ago. At the beginning they told me it would take 2-3 surgries to correct. Everything has remained stable this last month so they are thinking of doing the next one.

Marietta,I had to smile at the "hey good lookin what you got cookin"
DH said that to me when we met. He always jokes and says he said that and I replied "bacon you want a strip"
