Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Sunday Feb 19

Morning Ladies -

This morning was my Challenge Day. I was supposed to do Firm Bust & Butt and TLT Finding Your Core and I did but it didn't feel like enough so I added the aerobic segments from Better Burn Better Buns and then I did 1/2 hour of Yoga Shakti's DVD for my stretch (shoulder openers, supine poses, hip openers and forward twisting and bending). The entire workout came in at 2.5 hours and I left my HRM on thru the 1/2 hour stretch and I burned 620 calories (550 before the stretch). The workout still didn't feel hard enough for me. I don't know about this rotation. I'll see if I feel sore tomorrow.

I needed to do a hard workout cuz yesterday we ate at Panera and I had vegetable soup and salad and then on the way out we got scones & chocolate pastries. I ate a half of a scone yesterday and a half of a chocolate pastry and the other half is still here....waiting for me.

Tonight's the concert...Seether and ShineDown. I hope my DH can stay awake for it tonight.

The movie was really good yesterday. We went to Firewall with Harrison Ford. Best movie I've seen in a while. I would recommend it!

Have great workouts everyone. It's freezing here! Windchill of 6 below and my house is not well insulated!
 
Good morning,
I thought I would check in early as I am not going out to curch this morning. It is raining and sleeting and the ice is building, I don't want to drive on it. I am doing KempoX and a treadmill run and following with some ab work. To be honest I am getting a little tired of ab ripper X 3 days a week. I will stick with it but I am adding some more abs. I have been using the Bowflex and last time I picked up a med ball with some of ab ripper X.

Lora, it sounds like you got in a good workout. I love Panera Bread. I usually get one of their salads but have to have a cappacino or chi tea. Last time I took home one of the low carb breads and it was gone in two days. Mostly my doing:)

Hello Ladies,

Yesterday was a weird day. I didn't even check-in. I woke up not feeling too good and it was -13 outside. I felt very blah and trapped! When it gets that cold I Just can't seem to get twarm! ANyway I built a fire when I was done running my errands and hung out at home all night.

Lora-I have heard others say that is a good movie so I will add it to my list to see.
Diane Sue-I don't blame you for not wanting to drive on icey roads! People get so crazy sometimes and are not careful.
Sabrina-I saw your pictures from the gala! Your hair was beautiful and you looked gorgeous!
DH looked handsome as well :)
Dallas-are the kids all better?
Nicole-are the folks still there? Are we doing that glute workout tomorrow?
Marietta-I see you did great after a rest day!
Susan-How is the little guy doing?
Lisa-Where are you? I don't think I have seen you in a couple days.

Today is suppose to be rest but I am going to run on the treadmill and later do a ss workout.

Terri - sorry to hear your feeling blue. Talk about cold! It was so cold in here today. Our furnace went out. My husband is fixing it now and it's -6 windchill here and getting colder by the minute in here.
 
Oh wow Lora! I hope he gets it fixed soon! Have fun at the concert tonight. I hope he gets the heat fixed by then.

Hey Everyone,
Well my parents just left:-( Today I plan on taking the kids to a movie. They want to see that 8 below, and it is playing at the cinema grill so we will eat and watch a movie!! My kids LOVE going there so it will be FUN!! It is BITTER COLD here. :eek:

Lora what a BAD time for the furnace to go out!! Hope your dh gets it fixed!! Hey are you going to do the ADD-ON Big butt magagement with us?? We start tomorrow!! I going to do Kathryns rotation starting tomorrow!! Looks good!!


Terri I am feeling BLAH today:eek: The most I am going to do is ride my airdyne if I can even do that. Tomorrow is a new day!! I plan on starting that Kathryn rotation. I have a week of TLT/FIRM left but I want a change......... and feel I really need to work in some Cathe :D YES we will start that BBM :7

Mon Wed and Fri I will so one set of each exercise. As far as the Duck squats go I will do reg. squats or one legged squats.

Tues thurs 3 sets of each:eek: OOOOOOO if we stick with this are butts are going to look GOOD:7

Diane Sue glad you don't go out in icy roads. I think it is dangerous to. Hope you have a GREAT day!!

I am new but not new to Cathe...I don't know if I am a hardcore Fitness Maniac but I try :D I would like to join the check in if y'all don't mind!
Today I did Power Circuit w/o back and abs, 20 minute Turbo Jam and 150 walking lunges. I will also walk tonight with my Mom as long as we don't wimp out because of the bitter cold.

Hi Jessica -

Yes, of course you're welcome. We all started doing the Hardcore series together and have stuck together but recently changed our name cuz we weren't necessarily doing the Hardcore Series any longer. I've even been on a non-Cathe roll, but they still keep me around cuz they like hearing about different workouts! Feel free to check back here often.....we're a chatty group!

Nicole - I'm jealous! I'm a bit sick of this TLT/Firm rotation already and I'm only on week 2. I want to start the Kathryn rotation, but I don't like quitting things. What are you doing? Power 90 Masters or P90 X?? What is Big Butt Management sign lil' J'Lo here up for it!! Do I have time for it?

We went to see Date Movie and it was stupid, but it's what I expected.

The thermostat seems like it shorted out. We had to buy a new one and we discovered that we have been freezing for about 2 days now. I think our thermostat was reading 70 but it has only been about 60 in here. We both thought it was just cuz it was so cold outside, but then today the heat stopped coming on and it totally died after it made this sizzling noise.

Lora I am not using any of the BB things for the Kathryn rotation, I just planned to sub cathe or a TLT in there, but hey did you see that someone posted a Cathe/TLT rotation,...... Hmmmmm now what??? Hey why don't you decide which rotation you want to do, and we can do it together:D I am becoming to ADD with the Firm/TLT and I want a change:7

Here is the Big Butt Management rotation... I think it will just add on about 10 min. time to your workout.....except maybe more on days that you do sets of 3.

Lora my parents came so the only workout I have been doing is riding my airdyne, but I will be happy to be back to doing my TLT's. They have a lot of fun factor for me.

We had a GOOD time at the movie, but OH it made me cold just watching it :7

Good evening,
I did my workout as planned this morning with a 2.25 mile run on the treadmill,Kempo X and Core Max #3 and Stretch Max with the band.I have my grandson here again tonight. I thought it would save my daughter coming here on icy roads just to bring him back in the a.m..Plus she will be going to some meetings close to her house. We watched recound and are playing a Ninja Turtles card game. I noticed I didn't spell chai tea right and capuccino. Brain wasn't working this morning or something:)
