Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Saturday March 18

Cathlete
Morning Ladies -

Well....I didn't take my rest day like I should have. I did 35 minutes of gliding aerobics at a moderate pace. I probably shouldn't have done it, as my inner thigh muscle is still quite painful from where I pulled it. I wanted to do yoga this morning and since I think I injured it doing yoga not properly warmed up, I decided to do a bit of cardio to warm me up first. I then did Ana Forrest Strength & Spirit. I'm not sure I liked this DVD. It was an hour long practice and I'm not sure I like her style of teaching and she holds poses long and moves slow and deliberate. I didn't care for the selection of poses either. It is an okay DVD for variety (can't all be my favorites with all of my favorite poses, right?). I still like Altar of the Heart & Rainbeu Mars Beauty series best, oh and Yoga for Happiness with Eoin Finn is another one I love.

Speaking of yoga, I have an older Baron Baptiste tape called Hot Yoga that is a Beginner Power Yoga tape. Any one here want it? I bought a few of his DVDs and part of this workout is identical to the one on the tape, so I can get rid of the tape.

I'm off to soak my sore yoga butt, hips and thighs in the tub. Between P90 Masters and yoga, I've got one sore tushy. Certainly, I should start seeing some sort of results, right?

Nicole - sorry, can't help you with the rotation. I have a hard enough time deciding what I'm going to do. I do know I'm going to do a Hardcore Fatloss rotation in the near future though in case you're interested.

I'm not sure what movie we're going to but it is one of these: The Hills Have Eyes, Eight Below, V for Vendetta, Shaggy Dog or She's the Man.

Have great workouts. I'll check back later.

Happy Weekend:D

Good Morning
Yesterday was a big family day. I got up and ran 3.25 miles on my treadmill and did P90X Shoulders and Arms, I did Core Max3 instead of Ab RipperX. I am getting a little tired of that same ab workout several times a week. I think it is good though. Today I am going to do CTX Power Circuits and P90X Legs and back. If I followed the program in order I would be doing Yoga X. I am switching it a little. I would like to get back to Mon-Sat scehdule w/ Sun off or light. I have been enjoying DH visit. Our time is flying. We stayed up till 1 am watching In Her Shoes after the family all left. It was a good movie.

Dallas, DH will be home till the 27th. He has to leave on our 33rd anniversary, which is why he chose March to come home.

Charlotte, when I was in Cancun we had fruit trays twice a day in our room and I ate so many red grapes and melon slices. I actually got kind of tired of them.

Hi to everyone,
Diane Sue

Nicole - email me your addy ([email protected]) and I'll send that tape to you. You should enjoy it, as it's broke down into three segments 20 min, 15, min & 10 min. Energizing, Toning and Stabilizing. I got it from QVC a long time ago with a yoga mat and that was the beginning of getting into yoga a long time ago. I would say that I like yoga because certain practices give me a "yoga buzz".....hard to explain, I just feel so light and happy and stretched out. I think it helps depressed people like me. It's also good for us type A personalities. I wouldn't say it's helping with my pain yet, as it is actually making it a bit worse right now until I learn how much I can push and if I can push through this or not. Make sense?

I'll be back later. I've gotta get some stuff ready to sell on E-bay. Business has been slow lately. I'll have to try to make up some good sample packs this week.

Afternoon All!

Hey, where are all of you maniacs! I've been up since 5:30A, but I still have not gotten a workout in. I did, however get to the early bird sale at Kohl's. I went for the boy's shorts and shirts for Disney. I even found a bathing suit I actually like! :7 Thanks to Sparrow's thread!! I probably would not have looked there.

I also ran into Carson's because they were having their goodwill sale. (Nicole, I cleaned out my dd's close this AM.) I brought the bag in and got a stack of coupons. Anyone want to shop?! :7 :+ I ended up getting some really cute Calvin Klein capri's and shorts. Fabulous deals!!!:) :D :7

I have S&H shoulders to do, CM segment. I want to sneak to the health club for some elliptical time, but I don't know if my dh will go for it (I was gone all morning.). So, it may be the treadmill again. :-(

Susan ~ How did your muffins turn out? How was the get together?

Nicole ~ I'll have to look at your rotations. I'm going to stick w/S&H. I figured this is the perfect time for me to do S&H due to the lack of cardio. I think I'll get that Slim in 6 just for Burn It Up at Target (if it's still on sale).

Christine ~ Awww, you fit right in here! You go girl with those arms of yours! :7

Diane Sue ~ I'm sure you're enjoying every minute w/your hubby! The 27th will come so fast. :-(

Lora ~ I'll have to go back and read yesterday's thread. You gave some good suggestion for these legs of mine and some quick yoga routines. Thanks! Not being able to run and do standing leg work is taking a little toll on my thighs. :-( I'm eating clean. So, it has to be the former.

Terri ~ I hope everything is OK. Please e-mail me or call if you want to talk.

My brother is undergoing more tests today. Hopefully, they will find the primary source. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.

Have a great day!

Dallas

Good afternoon all! I wanted to focus on cardio today, so I did the SJP/SB Cardio premix 90 minutes of fun step - love that. I keep forgetting how much I simply love step! Then I did a pilates body band workout that came with the bands I bought at Target when my Dynaband snapped. I feel good. It was more relaxing than hard core, but that's a good thing every now and again. And it worked me differently. I'm starting to appreciate that more.

Tonight DH's boss's wife has invited us (and others) to a Charity Auction for Survivors of Brain Injury. We go every year. It's a nice function and we always have fun. I think I'm going to wear a black sari tonight. It's so pretty and I rarely get to wear it, except on the Indian holidays (DH is Indian, although he's been here longer than he lived there and is more American than I am!)

Lora - you simpy amaze me! I hope your ambition and determination is catching! I've also been thinking about what you've said about yoga, and I'm definitely going to incorporate more into my routine - yoga and pilates - I enjoyed this morning's session.

Nicole - I love mixing the different ab sessions into my routine. I use ME a lot as I still think it's the toughest short one out there! I also like KPC and I do PUB (I don't like it, I do it... LOL)

Dallas - sounds like you had a VERY successful morning! All that shopping! How fun! Have fun with your workout! Good luck to your brother!

Hello to everyone else who comes later! Enjoy your day! Gotta run to Petsmart to meet a lady so DD and I can do some volunteer work playing with kitties, then get a hair cut, then wrap a sari... (that'll take a while!). ENJOY!

Good Afternoon Maniacs!

Well today I just did chest/back off smith machine. My legs and butt are quite nicely sore! LOL!

Diane Sue,

I cannot stop eating them red grapes. Not tired of them yet. Better than dipping apples into the peanut butter jar...that gets me in trouble! LOL!

Nicole,

Can't make up my mind what I want to do with my legs. Freestyle, weights or both. I want to increase muscle, but sculpt too. Guess I will figure it out.

Dallas,

I really want to go shopping. I went looking for new swimsuits and can't find one that I really like anywhere so far. The one in the picture is o.k., but bottoms too big.

Lora,

Didn't know you sold on ebay too! How fun.

Charlotte~~

Hey eveyone, I just wanted to popin and say My dad is back in the hospital He webt back yesterday. I will try to pop in later.

Terri

Hi everyone,

Today I did 50 minutes on the treadmill on an incline, then Leaner Legs including abs, then CTX Biceps.

Tonight I’m making the Turkey Meatloaf that’s in the Oxygen Nutition Magaizne. I’ll let you know how it comes out.

Dallas, We had lots of fun last night. They had a huge tent put up with carpeting, glass doors and heat. Yes, let us know how your brothers test turn out.

Terri, sorry to hear your dad is back in the hospital. Let us know how he’s doing.

Nicole, I’m SO happy you like the rotation! I swear, once I get my meatloaf in the oven I’ll check out those links you posted.

Lora, Give a movie review with whatever you and your husband see tonight.

Christine, what part of India is your husband from? I worked for about six years representing a large Indian company here in the US. I sold lots of their products and did their advertising, etc. I’ve worked with Indian companies for about 15 years.

Diane Sue, I like how you structure your workouts. I have P90X but never use it. I really should try to now.

Muffins & Meatloaf -- you ladies make me feel severely challenged in the domestic goddess area. Domestic goddess ...I am NOT!! I don't have a domestic bone in my body. I guess that's why I always feel so out of place among women.

Terri - sorry your father is ill.

Dallas - I'm praying for your brother.

Diana Sue - Good to have you back. I have my Cardio Coach 5 CD that just arrived but I don't know if I'm going to be able to tackle that tomorrow....we'll see. I have been fighting a stomach bug and now I pulled an inner thigh muscle slightly.

Susan - the movie stunk. It was disgusting (and you know it's true when I say it). I wanted to see 8 below....but the DH chose The Hills Have Eyes cuz he wanted to go earlier. It was disgustingly gory and stupid and did I say really STUPID. I didn't even want to stay. Dinner, however, after was excellent. We went to Panera and I had a Veggie Sandwich that had really delicious red hot peppers on it and a Oriental Sesame Salad. I turned my head away from the chocolate pasties on the way out!! It was hard!

Lora, thanks for the movie review (warning).
It's really not difficult to cook anything. I have a turbo cooker (As seen on tv) hahaha, that works wonderfully!! You can place a couple of chicken fillets on the bottom of the pan or a piece of fish and veggies of the top and they cook together in like, 10 minutes. Just with water. Other things really dont take much effort to cook. Maybe just try it a couple of times. I can give you easy ideas if you'd like.

Nicole, without a doubt I'd choose the rotation that was put together by Aquajock NOT the other one.

Susan C.M.
