Morning Fitness Maniacs -
This morning I did Amy Bento's A Team Boot Camp. I did not do it exactly as she does though. I chose to keep moving by either jogging or doing a boxers bounce during all of her "down time". I also lifted heavier than she does (I lifted what she did last time and it wasn't enough for me). I again surpised myself using the resistance band that used to be hard for me....as it was much easier. I think I'm ready for a harder band. I have to attribute some of that to yoga. All in all, this made for a much better workout the way I did it today. I still think the workout is unbalanced cuz she doesn't do chest or lats in this (not that I recall).
I'm pretty sore today and if I wasn't a maniac and listened to my body, I would have done some pilates and cardio today instead of the hard workout I did....but I can't cuz I'm FAT!! LOL!!
I have a question about pikes on the ball. I'm not supposed to be doing pikes, planks or pushups right now (my shoulders are still really sore from all of those injections last week) but I never listen to my doctor and did stuff I wasn't supposed to (I hope I'm not too sorry). Anyway, I did pikes on the ball for the first time today (never done them before). Is it normal for the ball to get awful unstable and try to get away from your feet? I had to laugh at myself.....as I was all over the place. I did manage to get some good reps in there, but believe me, I did my share of wobbling and falling. Is this normal?
Debbie - I didn't notice Amy's whooping in the DVD I did yesterday. I can't believe she didn't do it though cuz she does it a lot in the others. I think I just tune it out. I'm very good at that these days. I'll have to pay attention when I do the other one. Truthfully, I never noticed the count thing with her either. The only thing I don't like about her is that sometimes I feel her workouts are a bit unbalanced and I don't like that she stretches in between segments and rests so much.
Charlotte - I sent you an email yesterday (2 actually). Let me know if you got it. YOu can email me at work later if you want to.
Hi to everyone else! Have great workouts.
Christine & Susan - I see you 2 are bike riders. I don't have an outdoor bike, only a stationary bike. I recently got a couple Mindy workouts that are interval aerobics done on the bike. They are pretty good! (Oh & I just read over at VF that Eion's new DVD comes out next month. Someone there just posted that they met him at a Canada Yoga Convention and they had a long chat with him. They said he was really nice, but I already gathered that from doing his yoga DVD's...he has that kind/gentle spirit ....and that's why I like him so much.)
Speaking of workouts - I spent a bit of my E-bay money yesterday and bought the 2 new Jari Love DVDs. They are high rep weight workouts. They are more advanced than her initital DVD, Get Ripped. I've been wanting them and caved yesterday. I also bought the older CIA Kickbox tape with Sherri Jacquelyn since I liked her so much on my new Kickbox DVD.
ugh .............Monday!!!!
